Item #: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Euclid Keter
Special Containment Procedures: Agents must inspect SCP-XXXX for any anomalous activities on a weekly basis. An underground sensor is located below the structure as well as five, ten, eleven, and fifteen meters away from the structure. Any agent that goes within two five ten meters of the structure must be tested and verified to be older than 25 years of age unless certified to do so for testing purposes.
Sounds, smells, and vibrations are common anomalies that can be subsided by persons over 25 years old entering the ten-meter range of SCP-XXXX. Any anomaly that resembles growing or expanding of the structure such as protrusions or insect nests can NOT be neutralized by the 25+ age group being in the vicinity. These anomalies must be analyzed and destroyed accordingly using heavy machinery (Examples found in Addendum XXXX.1). In the event of serious anomalous activity, such as rapid growth, lethal telepathic emissions, or extreme manipulation of SCP-XXXX-A instances, the school campus SCP-XXXX resides on must be shut down with a cover story (ex. The boiler room residing in the school campus is leaking lethal gas into the school campus). Level 6+ staff must initiate Procedure ████-42 to neutralize the growth and activity of the entity temporarily (Info for Level 6+ personal found in Addendum XXXX.2)
Description: SCP-XXXX is identified as a small brick structure, approximately 15 x 40 feet in area, located in the center of the ████ ███████ High School grounds. It is unknown whether SCP-XXXX is itself the structure or if it is some force that resides within the structure. However, the entity is connected with the structure in some way and cannot attempts to separate itself from it. Due to the actions it performs, it is determined that the entity is sentient and a majority of it's actions are purposeful. The structure is immovable and must be contained on-site. SCP-XXXX has not proven to be deadly and is safe to enter, although there are no signs of the entity inside.
SCP-XXXX's unique properties are its mind-altering abilities that can give memory damaging, hormonal, hallucinogenic, and cult-like behavior to subjects younger than 25 within ten meters of the structure. The strength of these effects is dependent on what age group the individuals are in. Students in the 13-16 age range and have had high contact with the entity currently have irreversible mental damage are identified as SCP-XXXX-A. Those in the 20-25 age group who are partially affected are identified as SCP-XXXX-B. Other students who have not had direct contact with the entity but have seen the effects on other students are identified as SCP-XXXX-C and are commonly used in interviews. (See Addendum XXXX.3)
In SCP-XXXX's typical state, it is theorized it only affects individuals younger than 25 due to their nerve cells still developing in their brain. Scientific data of SCP-XXXX-A instances prove that the entity can insert and duplicate anomalous neural pathways to remotely control the subject. These anomalous pathways seem to control the intake of dopamine and testosterone/estrogen to give large mood swings and changes in emotional behavior. The most susceptible age group to these effects are teenagers age 14-16, most likely why it is located on a high school campus. Strange markings drawn by students have been found on the walls of the structure, unprovoked fights, and religious behavior towards the SCP-XXXX structure they call "The Boiler Room," (See Addendum XXXX.4). Symptoms that have been witnessed include nausea, memory loss, increased emotions, wild behavior, and denial.
Two agents and between 20-80 students have shown symptoms of being affected by SCP-XXXX. Agent Phil ████ (Age:22) and Agent Graham ███████ (Age:24) had contact with SCP-XXXX for three hours and for the next 14 days showed emotional and violent behavior towards all staff who went near them. After 14 days of isolation, the effects subsided and the anomalous nerve cells had disintegrated they returned to their duties. Currently, there is no way to nullify the effects on SCP-XXXX-A instances without substantial rehabilitation for several months or life-threatening neural rewiring. Although the government of the city has been notified of these effects, they refuse to shut down the school for substantial periods of time (See Addendum XXXX.5)
