Specail containment procedures:

If Site [redacted] is comprimised, [redacted] M14 forces are to be sent to investigate and restablish the site as they are well trained how to combat the most common of situations in a 900m-600m radius of the SCP. Airstrikes are to occur if an assalt on an assimulation from 200m-100m radius of SCP-10689 accompanied by [redacted ] helicopters incase of flocks of SCP-10689-123/489/623/986/34 are present. If herds of SCP-10689-2/67/8 within a 50m radius of any site are to be redirected or terminated. If a SCP-10689-1 to 100000 were to escape there will be an immediate evacuation of the local area and the perimeter will enlarge to 1500m but in some cases 2000m or even 60 miles if too severe. Due to its size a cloaking technology known as [redacted] will hide it from view from a 60m radius of the perimeter. Concrere walls are to built around the perimeter at 20m high with 3 entrances one at each site A/B/C however another one heavily guarded for expiditions at coordinates [redacted].
Description:
SCP-10689 is an urban city in [redacted] Russia named [redacted] it is predicted to be a diameter of 6000km2 and its estimated height 4000km2, it once housed 18 million people and due to its size and population was recognised as a small region. However, 40 years into existence it was erased from the minds of the public as anomilies were occuring in the city. This included the first assimulation, for which created organisms unkown to science that would feed the assimulation, the assimulation is assentialky the centre of thier hive mind and overtime with biomass gained will gain intelligence and strengths creating more organisms in its underbody beneath the city for ehich the creatures where spawned. And the SCP foundation was contacted when it reached stage 3. After immediate containment it was discovered people were being abducter and taken into SCP-10689 and abandoned to survive before being hunted and killed or being infected by a spore. 30 expeditions have been made into SCP-10689 and another 2 will be performed in 202[redacted]. All files on SCP-10689 will be kept under permission of assistant director of SCP-10689 of research operations in filename #245.

7.30am
The expedtion will begin in 2 hours as they say further preparations need to be made so we can leave in the 6 month expedition deadline, and so that the [redacted] squad can prepare and do last minute training so we don't die in the first five minutes and not retrieve any data on research the new SCP. I'm kinda excited really as this is quite a big assignment and no doubt it won't be interesting and of course very dangerous as it has already been classed as keter! They won't tell us anything and anders won't explain what we're walking into untill the debriefing in half an hour. But in the meantime I'm going to try and ready myself for the expedition.
9.50am
So here I am currently 800m away from the city and we have witnessed strange plants that seem to be a bluey green and pulsste when we go near them, they look like cacti mixed with willow trees and tend to be in small forests of 50 of these plants with an abundance of what seems to be venus fly traps with 12m stalks and 10m nouth width that could fit 10 horses in thier mout, what are they eating that requires this size? Giant flies?

300m away from the city and theree has been many signs of disgusting lifeforms in herds, flocks packs or alone but we watched flying one anders calls SCP-10689-123 get eaten by one of the giant flytraps. They look like gargoyles malformed in a disgusting purple flesh, they have one eye on there face and their face splits into 3 for a mouth and they shriek like a high pitched bat, thier wingspan is 10m with thier body being 12m. These things are known for taking down an airbus when they first appeared days before the foundation arrived.
4.00pm
There is a pile of mushed flesh 20m down from the fly trap roughly 2m wide and 1m high. Parts of it are being taken into a cavern nearby by tiger shaped malformed flesh beasts with no eyes with by identified 6 rows of teeth. The are the size of a classical red british double decker bus. The creatures chest is covered in holes between what can be seen as a ribcage which excretes a soft whistle as if its breathing. One of them had seen us and it grabbed one of guards in its mouth and shook him side to side ripping him in half and proceeding to run-down two more before anders shot a flare and it cowered away. Captain khar called for evacuation to try and reprepare for a secong expedtion. But they just gave him a 'negative, press on'. Anders decided that we take refuge at a nearby village 50m away as she says 'People left in a rush, there'll be stuff left behind to help put ease on supplies and perhaps a way to refeul the supply truck, squad vehicle and mobile research station it would help in case the SCP-10689-899 comes back it won't know where we went.' Well atleast one of us is thinking about setting up camp'.
