Special Containment Procedures: Foundation web-crawlers are to monitor all digital devices belonging to individuals with a strong interest in Hip-Hop music and/or American rapper Eminem.1 If detected, all instances of SCP-XXXX-1 are to be deleted

Description: SCP-XXXX is an anomalous phenomenon that affects digital audio files.

When an instance of SCP-XXXX-1 is downloaded unto a digital device, all audio files containing at least 8 seconds of Eminem's "Lose Yourself"2 are converted into another instance of SCP-XXXX-1.

SCP-XXXX-1 an alternative version of Eminem's "Lose Yourself". This version of the song follows a similar structure to the original. The instrumentation remains mostly unchanged, while the lyrics differ substantially (the exception being the chorus sections, only having small deviations). SCP-XXXX-1 is also shorter in length, with one less verse and chorus than the original version of the song.

Lyrics Comparison (Intro Section Only)

"Lose Yourself":

Look, if you had
One shot, or one opportunity
To seize everything you ever wanted
In one moment, would you capture it
Or just let it slip?

SCP-XXXX-1:

Yo, if you could just, for one minute
Or one split second in time, forget everything
Everything that bothers you, all your problems
Everything, and follow me

At the same time, Luis Edgardo Resto, Jeffrey Graves and Marshall Bruce Mathers III were all individually abducted and interrogated by MTF Omega-6 ("Got Your Back").

Neither Resto, Graves or Mathers were aware of SCP-XXXX or SCP-XXXX-1's existence. However, Marshal B. Mathers recognized that the rhyme schemes from SCP-XXXX-1 are similar to his style. He also confessed that he spoke with what he thought to be [DATA EXPUNGED] while under the influence in 199█, which later inspired him to write the intro to "Slim Shady EP"3 and his song "My Darling."4 All three musicians were returned to their homes after class-A amnestics were applied.

Note: After Marshall B. Mathers' confession of possible contact with SCP-████, the O5 Council is considering classifying him as a PoI.

After much debate, on November 24, 2014, a high-quality instance of SCP-XXXX was released as a bonus track titled "Lose Yourself (Original Demo Version)" on Hip-Hop compilation album "Shady XV"

Since its release, SCP-XXXX has been recategorized as safe, as SCP-XXXX instances possess no inherent anomalous properties to date and the public has accepted all instances prior to 24/11/2014 as "leaks."

On the following interview, Marshall B. Mathers admitted to possessing no recollection of making SCP-XXXX-1. However, due to his history of drug abuse, the loss of memory does not raise any suspicion from his fans or the general population.

Interview Transcript

Marshall B. Mathers: There was another version of that song, that I don't even remember recording, I don't remember where I was at when I recorded it, I don't remember any of the first verse, I don't remember- I don't remember!

So when he told- he called me one day and told me about it I was like "What?"

It was like "Remember the scratch version of 'Lose Yourself'?"

Like no, I don't.
