A situational explanation is to be fabricated to cover up SCP XXXX, (the alias of maintenance work is often effective).
Description: The first known instance of SCP XXXX was initially discovered in [DATA REDACTED], Colorado, on ██,██,██97 after the disappearance of █ employees of [DATA EXPUNGED] Inc. and embedded foundation Agent [REDACTED] notifying the Foundation. ██ other instances of SCP XXXX have been recorded and subsequently neutralized, with the exception SCP XXXX-26. All instances of SCP XXXX are numbered SCP XXXX-1 - SCP XXXX-█8.
Little is know about SCP XXXX’s apperance is known, but the single image of portrays SCP XXXX is a vaguely humanoid entity that is similar to cecaelia, a half octopus, half human creature referenced in greek mythology. It is unknown if SCP XXXX is a physical entity, as the creature emits a smoggy black substance that has been found to have traces of Batrachotoxin, Strychnine, and [DATA EXPUNGED]. It is theorized that SCP XXXX is sentient, possibly even sapient, and is inherently hostile toward all forms of life. SCP can be found in any form of stairwell or stairway. Three (3) conditions must me met for an instance of SCP XXXX to manifest. The catalyst for an instance of SCP XXXX is unknown.
- A light level of under 10 lms must be achieved in a stairwell
- Only one subject and be present at a time
- The victim must have a some degree of Nyctophobia, indicated by a score of 45 on the Tenebris resistance scale
All victims of SCP XXXX leave no trace and what happens to organisms, where they go, or how they are transported, but current test logs indicated that the victims are disintegrated, (further testing has determined that uses its victims for the purpose of ██████████).
(UPDATE) SCP XXXX is no longer able to be photographed on any type of image capturing device, it is unknown if this trait is inherent to SCP XXXX or it was a developed trait after initial contact with the Foundation.
