SCP-5XXX

Item #: SCP-5XXX

Object Class: Keter

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-5XXX is to be held within a standard size containment cell constructed with a platinum-carbon nanofiber electromagnetically charged Ferro-platinum alloy to ensure the lowest rate of escape. The cell must have no windows or doors and be welded shut in order to seal the anomaly. There must be no open-air areas within 15m in any direction of the cell save for a heavily-camera-monitored entrance and observation hallway.

Description: SCP-5XXX is observable as a “shimmer” in whichever object it is present not unlike, heat over a fire. The anomaly does not appear when photographed or filmed and is difficult to keep track of.
No tested material on its own capable of safely containing SCP-4803; it constantly breaks containment. The anomaly seems to exist on an atomic level, able to travel through all densities of matter and push electrons out of the way as it does so. However, powerful magnetic fields can slow down its progression through an unknown mechanism.

SCP-5XXX appears sentient, traveling in specific directions and apparently observing its surroundings but, communication is currently impossible. And since it is unable to traditionally interact with objects all tests of sentience are impossible for the anomaly to complete.
When being observed SCP-5XXX is non-hostile. Only causing damage to observers through coincidence of its own existence. The Anomaly also has a strong aversion to synthetic magnetic fields, though how it ignores our planet’s is unknown.

Addendum: It is strongly recommended when observing SCP-5XXX to stay back at least 5m. The effects of having the anomaly pass through living tissue creates an immediate and severe entropic effect.
