Special Containment Procedures:
SCP-6084 is to be kept in a room with lights on every wall and the ceiling, having at the minimum 8000 lumens. In the case SCP-6084 breaches containment, two MTF soldiers are to track it down wielding military grade flashlights, and are required to be constantly watching eachother's shadows. When found, SCP-6084 is to be completely surrounded by light and whomever's shadow it appears in is to walk back to site [NAME REDACTED] far away from all life no matter the distance in order for it to be contained.
Description:
The entity is a constantly shifting vantablack umbra that forms while a living being is not watching their shadow. Despite changing appearance based on the shadow it's mimicking, SCP-6084 has a certain fondness of the shape of male beings. While attached to a human female, SCP-6084 may shift to resemble that of a male homosapien instead, however; on rare occasions it has changed form to the male counterpart of other creatures as well, such as when it shifted to the male counterpart of a pony when it was exposed to one in a controlled environment located at [DATA EXPUNGED].
SCP-6084 is only capable of aborbing those who ignore it's presence for up to 10 minutes into an alternate dimension best described as an endless void of darkness with no seen end, although light at levels of at least 8000 lumens has nullified this effect, however; while light under this amount has proven to prevent it for at most an extra 4 hours, any lower level of light will eventually result in the absorbtion of the entities victim. If totally covered by light, the entity will shrink and try to keep itself as far from the light as it possibly can. No one has been able to discover any of the bodies it has absorbed in the past by studying this void in realtime, images, or video. One day a D-Class was sent into this void with a tracker implanted in his neck, when the subject was absorbed the tracking device was found on the ground, signifying that anything that could be used to track something in this void is repulsed by SCP-6084 and left as the only remains of the one it had absorbed, the list of objects it has not taken with it's victims are items such as phone's, trackable keys, a GPS, a sample of [DATA EXPUNGED], and the implant mentioned earlier.
SCP-6084 has had multiple interactions with SCP-017, which despite what most scientists hypothesized, was completely dormant in reaction to SCP-6084. More interestingly, during a test between the two entities, SCP-6084 completely mimicked SCP-017's appearance and behavior until coaxed out of the room with a powerful light used by a D-Class wearing a reflective suit, as protocol in SCP-017's containment.
Discovery SCP-6084 was discovered in tuscaloosa, alabama in the early 2000's when a large string of disappearances occured resulting in the loss of 35 men, 15 women, 12 children, and even 6 pets. When the Foundation heard of this they sent a team of scientists guarded by a small party of MTF soldiers to investigate, the only connection between each missing person was their phones were left in their last known locations, and while studying one of the phones, a male scientist named [NAME REDACTED] was chosen as one of SCP-6084's victims and was witnessed being consumed by the entity by his peers, who managed to contain the entity by shining their lights on it and carefully leading it back to the foundation. At the time its abilities were unknown and the fatality count of the party sent was 3 scientists and 2 MTF soldiers.
