Item #: SCP-XXXX

Object Class: Euclid

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to remain at Site-62, enclosed on all sides by 1m of lead. Two holes each 4mm in diameter are to be kept in the top of the lead casing, and attached to a ventilation system capable of circulating 1,200kg/hr of oxygen through the fixture.

A barometer and four security cameras are to be installed inside the lead casing and connected to device XXXX-d1 outside the casing via wire. The wires will have to pass through the lead casing, but the walls of the additional openings necessary for this purpose should be welded to the wires, leaving no air pockets. Device XXXX-d1 is configured to automatically analyze security camera footage and report any breach of SCP-XXXX by instances of SCP-XXXX-A, whereupon the ventilator will disengage and the unit's siren will sound. Response team XXXX is then to be dispatched to recover the instances of SCP-XXXX-A.

One non-combatant C-class personnel is to be stationed at device XXXX-d1 after clearing loyalty evaluation, and will be responsible for monitoring the footage displayed on the terminal of device XXXX-d1 and manually sounding the siren and disengaging the ventilator on sight of any suspicious activity not registered by the software. In such an event, the C-class personnel thus stationed is also to restore the ventilator when all breaching instances of SCP-XXXX-A have been recovered neutralized.

██/██/20██: Certain instances of SCP-XXXX-A verified to pose a threat. Nature of threat unknown at this time. Do not make contact. Do not open the radiation shield for at least 36 hours after an incident. No further tests are to be run on SCP-XXXX without level 3 clearance.

Description: SCP-XXXX is a windowless cast-iron building measuring 8mx8mx2.5m. The entrance features an overhead placard advertising "plenty of room." No other identifying or explanatory information is offered. SCP-XXXX has four doors on its walls, but only one entrance; the remaining three doors only exist when viewed from inside the building or through the front door. The interior walls, floor, and ceiling of SCP-XXXX consist of an unidentified material which absorbs no light, and thus renders the exact same shade of bright white from all angles, making the geometry of the surface indistinguishable except by touch.

When any person(s) or object(s), henceforth designated SCP-XXXX-A, enter(s) SCP-XXXX and close(s) the door, SCP-XXXX's anomalous properties manifest. Each pair of opposite doors is thenceforth in fact a single door: reopening what was previously the front door will also open the door at the far end of the room, and, likewise, opening the left or right door will also open the right or left door, respectively. Recovered instances of SCP-XXXX-A have reported being able to see themselves through the doors, in what was consistently described as a "hall of mirrors" effect. Instances of SCP-XXXX-A who were inside SCP-XXXX at the same time reported that any one of them which passed through one door in an attempt to leave the room would merely reemerge from the opposite door. This anomalous behavior of local space considered, instances of SCP-XXXX-A have been questioned as to how they were ultimately able to escape SCP-XXXX at all, but have refused to comment.

Based on its behavior, SCP-XXXX is currently hypothesized to be a one-point compactification of an open rectangular prism. Further investigation pending. See test logs.

Addendum: Tests were conducted on SCP-XXXX to study its anomalous behavior and rule out the possibility of any active threat. The tests were conducted with the radiation shield removed, to allow subject-researcher communication during the tests.
