Jaitree - Draw A Friend

Item #: SCP-XXXX
Objet Class: Safe

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX-A is to be kept in its original box in a standard containment locker at Site-██. SCP-XXXX-A should not be used for any reason other than research purposes only.

SCP-XXXX-B is kept in the containment in which it has been drawn until it expires. When it does so, it is to be cleaned off. Expired instances of SCP-XXXX-B are non anomalous and retain the last position that SCP-XXX-B was in.

Description: SCP-XXXX-A are 3 white chalk sticks. Two of which are each 10.1 centimeters in length the third being only 3.5 centimeters in length. The label on SCP-XXXX-A’s box is indecipherable and the box itself is badly damaged. Within SCP-XXXX-A’s box is a piece of paper reading the following:

Ever feel lonely sometimes and just want someone to talk to? Well, you can! With Draw-A-Friend you just need a chalk-worthy surface to draw on! Just draw your desired friend and bam! You now have a new friend! It'll spring to life right in front of your very eyes! See instructions for further information.

No instructions were ever discovered.

SCP-XXXX-B is the result of the use of SCP-XXXX-A on a usable surface such as a chalk board. SCP-XXXX-2 seems to have its own independent thought process. SCP-XXXX-B will "walk" across the surface its on and is stopped by sudden changes in elevation on it. In some cases, SCP-XXXX-B will attempt to talk to the person who drew it (See Interview XXXX-B-1). SCP-XXXX-B has a lifespan between 2 to 5 hours after it has been instantiated.

The following is an interview with one of the SCP-XXXX-B instances.

Interview XXXX-B-1:
Interviewer: Dr. Gray Born
Interviewee: SCP-XXXX-B-1 (Silly)

[BEGIN LOG]

Dr. Gray: (Draws an instance of SCP-XXXX-B on chalkboard in the shape of a stick figure with eyes and a mouth)

SCP-XXXX-B: (Stares silently at Dr. Gray)

Dr. Gray: Hello, I am Dr. Gray. Today I wi-

SCP-XXXX-B: Ooh hooray! We are going to be the best of friends Dr. Gray! I am Silly! Nice to meet you!

Dr. Gray: Hello. Nice to meet you too. Today I am going to ask you a few questions. Please answer them clearly and succinctly.

SCP-XXXX-B: Ah! So friend wants to ask questions! And questions Silly shall answer!

Dr. Gray: Good. Now, do you know who created you and if so, who?

SCP-XXXX-B: (Laughs) You did silly!

Dr. Gray: Ah, I should have made it more clear… Who made these and if so, who? (Shows SCP-XXXX-B one of SCP-XXXX-A)

SCP-XXXX-B: (Stares at SCP-XXXX-A) That?

Dr. Gray: Yes, this.

SCP-XXXX-B: Oh, (Laughs) why should we be wasting time on these silly questions when we could be having fun! Friend wants to have fun, doesn't he?

Dr. Gray: This might not be fun. But I do want to know.

SCP-XXXX-B: I'm afraid Silly can't answer that. Silly doesn't know the answer to that.

Dr. Gray: Are you sure you don't know?

SCP-XXXX-B: … Yes…

Dr. Gray: Ok… Do you know anything about yourself?

SCP-XXXX-B: Silly knows that I am happy and loves being friends with Dr. Gray!

Dr. Gray: Ok. Do you know where you are?

SCP-XXXX-B: In friends house of course!

Dr. Gray: Well. That concludes today's research.

SCP-XXXX-B: Where is friend going? Can Silly come with friend?

Dr. Gray: Friend will stay a while longer for today.

SCP-XXXX-B: Hooray! Friend and I are going to have lots of fun!
