Description: SCP-5492 is Caucasian male approximately 190 centimeters in height and 102 kilograms in mass.
SCP-5492 has multiple anomalous properties: SCP-5492 has a pair of white, feathered wings, with a wingspan of 289 centimeters, enabling it to fly. SCP-5492B is a Class VII cognitohazard. Subjects with a CRV equal to or greater than 29.8 viewing SCP-5492B will feel discomfort and mild remorse. Subjects with a CRV between 29.8 and 18.2 viewing SCP-5492B will feel immense guilt and attempt to harm themselves. Subjects with a CRV of below 18.2 who view SCP-5492B will have a vision of being transported by boat across SCP-5492-3, which subjects report to be “the river of souls,” which separates SCP-5492-2 from the regular dimension.
Subjects crossing SCP-5492-3 see themselves reflected in the water, doing the one thing that they regret most. As the subject crosses the river, they begin to feel themselves repetitively reliving their greatest regret, which becomes progressively more vivid. If a subject’s willpower is strong enough to break free from doing what they regret most, their physical body will immediately regain consciousness. Subject often suffer from PTSD after this process. If the subject reaches the other side of SCP-5492-3, subject is assumed to repetitively relive their greatest regret indefinitely. Further research upon SCP-5492-2 is cancelled and it is assumed that those who reach SCP-5492-2 relive their greatest regrets indefinitely within the caves.
SCP-5492B can mildly affect subjects viewing a picture or video of SCP-5492B. The effect’s power is diminished with distance.
