SCP-3454

Item #: SCP-3454

Object Class: Euclid

Special Containment Procedures:

SCP-3454 is to be kept contained within an airtight box accessed via an airlock, any personal entering SCP-3454’s chamber are to wear Level A hazmat suits. SCP-3454 is to not be informed of any cameras recording it due to knowledge of the sort resulting in a potential escape event due to SCP-3454 becoming enraged upon being recorded on film (paintings seem to not affect it). In the event of an escape attempt by SCP-3454 SCP-3454 is to be contained via an electrical current at 2,000 volts, which should stun SCP-3454 long enough for recontainment. SCP-3454 can easily be lured through the usage of various gases, caution is advised due to SCP-3454 gaining in mass and strength more gas it takes in.
SCP-3454 is to not be allowed out of it’s containment cell under any circumstance.(Refer to addendum A-2)

Description:

SCP-3454 appears as a cloud of gas. SCP-3454 was discovered in █████ IA, on 12/██/20██ when weather anomalies were detected near what locals described as a “boneyard that appeared overnight”. All locals who had seen the remains or SCP-3454 were administered SCP-3454 is incapable of speech(See addendum A-1). SCP-3454 has lethal potential on contact with exposed human skin due to the composition of SCP-3454’s gas being highly acidic to flesh.

SCP-3454 is stored at ██ Site, Only level 3 personnel are to be allowed near SCP-3454 to minimize risk of a containment breach. SCP-3454 is to only be given enough gaseous substance to maintain its current form. The overall size and color of SCP-3454 varies based upon what it has been "fed" and how much of it there was The more of the gas there s and the denser it is on its own seems to make SCP-3454 begin to go down the light spectrum towards red while lighter gasses in minor amounts make SCP-3454 turn various tints of blue both of which slowly revert to the base of black/grey/white, It is advised to only provide SCP-3454 with Helium and Neon.

The Foundation has approved usage of SCP-3454 to dispose of organic remains, which appears to keep it calm.

SCP-3454 before containment

Experiment Logs:

Experiment 1: One (1) D-Class Personnel left in chamber with SCP-3454
Results: SCP-3454 Expanded to dissolve all organic matter from D-Class personnel

Experiment 2: One (1) D-Class Personnel left in chamber with SCP-3454 with a container of pure Hydrogen
Results: SCP-3454 ignored D-Class Personnel to take in all the hydrogen once all Hydrogen had been absorbed SCP-3454 then proceeded to dissolve D-Class personnel of all organic matter.

Experiment 3: One (1) D-Class Personnel sent into SCP-3454's chamber wearing a Level A hazmat suit, SCP-3454 ignored D-Class personnel.

Notes from Dr.█████: SCP-3454 while removing all organic matter leaves the skeletal structure perfectly intact. It would also appear SCP-3454 has no interest going after something it has no clear line of passage towards.

Addendum A-1:

During a cursory attempt at interview SCP-3454 SPC-3454 responded, unknown at this moment how it is capable of speech with no visible vocal apparatus. (Refer to Interview I-1)

Addendum A-2:

Request has been filed to have SCP-3454 used as a disposal for organic remains, request granted so long as SCP-3454 remains in its cell.
