Description: SCP-XXXX is a pair of headphones, with a 3.5 mm jack, its max volume reaches 100 dB. anyone who hears anything through SCP-XXXX, will have their ear anatomy altered. The rate at which the alterations happen is dependent on the volume, the formula t=(11327-dB2) / 4.29
can be used to calculate the approximate rate of alterations. alterations range from replacment of eardrums with artificial filters to deforming the outer ears to a point where it resembles that of an elf. The affected subject will not feel pain or notice the changes until pointed out by someone.

Addendum XXXX-1: Discovery
SCP-XXXX was taken into foundation's notice after a Canadian woman was found missing both of her earlobes, the woman stated that she got the headphones from a garage sale after the previous owner had died from an infection, the infection got in through the ears and it's presumed that they had their eardrums missing. the woman, her husband and the doctor that examined the woman were administered Class-A amnestics

Addendum XXXX-2: Test log

Test 1 - 31/04/19██

Subject: 1 D class with excellent hearing

Procedure: D class was ordered to listen to a half-hour (hour and 43 minutes to be precise) animal documentary using SCP-XXXX, on 60 dB

Results: 30 minutes in: Subject's helixes disappeared, the subject didn't notice.
60 minutes in: Subject's cochlear nerves disappeared, the subject didn't notice
90 minutes in: Subjects earlobes disappeared

after the test, the subject was told he was missing parts of his ear and was shown a mirror, subjected cried out in pain then attacked the researcher, yelling "You're a monster, all of you are!". Subject terminated1

Analysis: it is unknown if the subject needs to understand, hear, listen to the music. more testing required.

Test 2 - 03/04/19██

Subject: 1 D-class

Procedure: The subject was artificially deafened then put in a room and was given a book of his choice to read.Some music on a guard's phone was played on shuffle for 15 minutes, through SCP-XXXX at 100 dB.

Results: 5 minutes in: The subject's entire ear canal was filled in with skin
10 minutes in: The subject's outer ear deforming resembling the ear of an elf
15 minutes in: The subject's eardrum disappeared and was replaced with an artificial filter, capable of filtering down to 500 picometers (though this was mostly useless as the subject's ear canal was filled in with skin)
subject was later told that his ears looked like elf ears and was shown a mirror, subject was mildly disgusted by his new appearance

Analysis: The alterations are caused by the vibrations, it is still unknown if the alterations will occur only if the vibrations are experienced through SCP-XXXX.

Test 3 - 06/04/19██

Subject: 1 D-class

Procedure: The D-class was put in a room. SCP-XXXX was put to a microphone on max volume, the feed from the microphone went to a speaker in the room the subject was in. music of the subjects choice (swing remixes of multiple songs) was played through the speaker on 120 dB.

Results: No changes to the subject.

Analysis: For the alterations to occur, vibrations need to be experienced directly through SCP-XXXX
