Special Containment Procedures: Each instance of SCP-XXXX is to be contained in a separate polytetrafluoroethylene plastic containment chamber, with interior dimensions of (1) cubic meter. The containment chamber is to be located in a concrete room with polycarbonate windows positioned to allow a clear view of the containment chamber from all angles. A minimum of one (1) D-Class personnel must be observing the containment chamber at all times. No electronic devices (excluding weaponry) are allowed within fifteen (15) meters of SCP-XXXX under any circumstances. If SCP-XXXX breaches containment, a team of personnel armed with incendiary weapons must be sent to the site of the containment breach with the orders to incapacitate SCP-XXXX on sight. The containment chamber must be replaced every six (6) months to prevent corrosion. All instances of SCP-XXXX-1 are to be terminated immediately by means of incineration upon their discovery.
Description: SCP-XXXX is an amorphous organism made of an unknown corrosive tar-like substance. It does not appear to be sentient but it does display significant intelligence when seeking out technology that it could use to reproduce. When SCP-XXXX comes into contact with an electrical device SCP-XXXX converts that device into an instance of SCP-XXXX-1, SCP-XXXX-1 directs electricity from that device and all other nearby electrical devices to create more SCP-XXXX material through a process that is currently unknown. The only known method of incapacitating SCP-XXXX is by exposing it to temperatures over five-hundred (500) degrees celsius SCP-XXXX can be permanently killed with heat over two-thousand (2000) degrees celsius. If SCP-XXXX is deprived of technology for an extended period of time, it will become extremely aggressive, even attacking personnel in its attempts to acquire technology.
Addendum A: Circumstances of acquisition:
SCP-XXXX came into foundation awareness after several mass blackouts connected to the █████ factory in ███████ ██, Canada. Posing as electricians, Agents ██████ and ████ were sent to inspect the area, and discovered several instances of SCP-XXXX both in the factory and in the surrounding buildings. In the process of removing the instances of SCP-XXXX from the buildings, Agent ████ made contact with an instance of SCP-XXXX and suffered severe caustic burns, and was sent to the nearest facility to get treatment. After discovering that heat was harmful to SCP-XXXX, Agent ██████ was able to contain the instances of SCP-XXXX by incapacitating it with heat based weaponry. After being incapacitated all instances of SCP-XXXX were taken to be contained at Site ██.
