Item #: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Safe
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX-1 and SCP-XXXX-2 are to both be kept in a 7 m x 10 m x 4 m cell at all times, with the exception of bi-monthly cleaning of said cell, usually on the 12th of that month. During this 15-30 minute cleaning period, both subjects will be transferred to an on-site decontamination chamber. Subjects will then be held in two (2) separate █████████-brand dog kennels located in Dr. █████'s office until cleaning is complete. Due to the anomalous properties of SCP-XXXX-1 and SCP-XXXX-2, security personnel are to use pressure sensors and thermal screening to ensure the presence of both subjects inside the cell. Food and water are to be replaced daily every 7 hours. Both subjects seem to have a preference toward Stella & Chewy's brand dog food and Pure Life brand water. Replacement of said brands is to be carried out by Level 3 Assistant Researcher ████████.
Personnel with Level 1 2 security clearance or higher are allowed access to SCP-XXXX's chamber. If not currently assigned another task, or while on break, personnel may visit and play with SCP-XXXX-1 and SCP-XXXX-2, unless the subjects are partaking in their bi-monthly cleaning routine.
Description: SCP-XXXX consists of a pair of domestic Boykin Spaniels, both male. SCP-XXXX-1 measures 7.01 meters in length, and has a weight of thirty-seven (37) kilograms. SCP-XXXX-2 measures twenty 6.09 meters in length, and has a weight of twenty-five (25) kilograms.
Physical studies have been done on SCP-XXXX-1 and SCP-XXXX-2 several times. SCP-XXXX-1 is an unnaturally bright shade of brown for its breed, while SCP-XXXX-2 has a more natural coat. SCP-XXXX-1 has a dark patch of fur at the end of its tail. SCP-XXXX-1 appears to have been neutered, while SCP-XXXX-2 remains intact. SCP-XXXX-1's weight is inconsistent with it's actual body structure. Multiple attempts have been made to recalculate SCP-XXXX-1's weight, however none have yielded successful results. Both instances of SCP-XXXX still require the average amount of food and water for their species. Despite this, both subjects seem to be incapable of gaining weight. Both subjects also either do not age, or do so at an extremely stalled rate, as neither have shown signs of aging since taken into custody by the foundation in 19██, which is far beyond the average lifespan of their breed (14-17 years).
SCP-XXXX-1 appears very friendly towards foundation personnel, especially Dr. ██████████ and Assistant Researchers ███████ and ████. SCP-XXXX-2 is much more cautious and shy towards most personnel, and often refuses to follow commands from staff it has not come into contact with in the past. However, SCP-XXXX-1 and SCP-XXXX-2 seem very social with each other, and SCP-XXXX-1 shows great interest in instances of SCP-1279.
Both instances of SCP-XXXX are seemingly incapable of being viewed by video, whether it be a live feed or a recording. Instead, SCP-XXXX-1 and SCP-XXXX-2 will not appear in the video, even though things portrayed in the video, such as people and objects, will react in the same way as if both subjects were still there. SCP-XXXX-1 and SCP-XXXX-2's thermal readings do still appear on infrared cameras, however, meaning they are able to be monitored using thermal tracking surveillance equipment.
However, when a photograph of SCP-XXXX-1 and SCP-XXXX-2 is taken, the subjects appear to be replaced with a being known as SCP-XXXX-3. SCP-XXXX-3 resembles that of a Boykin Spaniel, but with pale white fur, signs of fatal malnourishment, almost no hair on its face past the ears, and blank, bloodshot eyes lacking pupils or irises. SCP-XXXX-3 is always portrayed staring blankly into the camera. If the photographed instance of SCP-XXXX was facing away from the camera during the time of the picture being taken, SCP-XXXX-3's head will still be spun around to directly face the camera. SCP-XXXX-3 appears to have numerous tiny, barely noticeable cuts and bruises around its face, with one large, deep scar down the center of its throat and ending near the left hind leg. The cause of the SCP-XXXX-3 phenomenon is still unknown.
SCP-XXXX Recovery Log: SCP-XXXX was recovered from ████, ███████ Street, South Carolina, after news spread of an urban legend known as Anрeoski Pas (Latin for 'Angel Dog'). Locals described this legend as a white-furred dog that can only be seen in pictures, and brings good luck to those who own said photos.
