Item #: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Safe
Special Containment Procedures: Object SCP-XXXX is required to be locked in containment unless being studied. Level 3 clearance is allowed to study the artifact only while in the presence of someone holding Level 4 or above clearance. Under no circumstances are agents allowed to consume the contents.
Description: Object SCP-XXXX is a small brass gilded glass vial labeled "HOLY WATER" with the addition of a small black lid. The artifact holds approximately 1 fluid ounce of liquid. The liquid contained has been studied on a molecular level and all studies show that it is merely dihydrogen monoxide. Further studies indicate that the vial will "refill" itself even if all the contents are removed. If the liquid in question is ingested any and all injuries, infections, and/or diseases that the subject may have sustained will alleviate and heal. As well as the former the subject will also show no progression of age for an estimated year. Pouring the contents into another receptacle do not appear to hinder the qualities of the liquid.
Addendum: The object was seized by agents during a routine visit to Estherwood, Louisiana. Many of the townships residents have been observed to have lived beyond their estimated timelines. Jean-Baptiste Trief was living under the alias "Father [REDACTED]" and assumed the position of the local priest. It appears that Jean-Baptiste had acquired the object during travels with a Jean Lafitte, also who appears to be living in the town under the guise of a local business owner, a Mr. John [REDACTED]. It is currently unknown where SCP-XXXX originates from, but we believe that the container may not be the original. Studies are underway to see if the replicating qualities of the vial can be duplicated, while no tests have bore fruit to date.
The artifact was surrendered to the SCP under the circumstances that we allow the residents to remain in the town peacefully, but will remain under constant surveillance by the SCP hereafter.
