Absolutely Harmless Demon

Description: SCP-XXXX-1 is an entity that takes the appearance of a human male around 20 years old. At random intervals, the entity will appear to 'fade' out of sight, leaving only a dark silhouette, with flickers of red visible inside it. SCP-XXXX-1 will remain in this state for an indeterminate amount of time, before eventually returning to its original state. SCP-XXXX-1 cannot interact with living organisms, and will phase through them, causing a light ticklish sensation to any organism it passes through. However, non-organic materials are able to touch SCP-XXXX-1 and injure, or even kill it. SCP-XXXX-1 is sapient and expresses frustration at its inability to harm or kill anything. It claims that it is a demon possessing significant power, and if it weren't for 'that thrice-damned blade', it would incinerate the entire Foundation for containing it and murdering its sister.

SCP-XXXX-2 is an ornately carved knife of an unknown metal and of unknown origin. The blade of the knife has been blunted so it cannot be used as a weapon. At random intervals (coinciding with SCP-XXXX-1's change in state), the carvings on the blade will become luminescent, and glow red, until SCP-XXXX-1 reverts to its original state. If SCP-XXXX-2 is further than one hundred (100) metres from SCP-XXXX-1, SCP-XXXX-2 will teleport to its location and hover in the air around SCP-XXXX-1 for 3 minutes. It will then drop to the ground and return to its inanimate state.

SCP-XXXX first came to the Foundations attention when a church in [REDACTED] sustained heavy damage in an earthquake, resulting in the discovery of a crypt below the building. Reports of two people chained to the floor inside the crypt reached the Foundation, and two agents were deployed. On arrival, the agents entered the crypt, finding a male and a female instance of SCP-XXXX-1 and two instances of SCP-XXXX-2 were discovered. The area around the church was secured and operatives were dispatched to achieve containment.

The SCP's were transported in three armoured trucks, with three (3) Foundation operatives guarding each instance of SCP-XXXX-1. During transit, it is assumed that the armored vehicle containing the instances of SCP-XXXX-2 gained a distance of more than 100 metres from SCP-XXXX-1 and one of the instances of SCP-XXXX-2 teleported to the female instance of SCP-XXXX-1. SCP-XXXX-1 then proceeded to use the knife to stab an Foundation operative in the chest. SCP-XXXX-1 started to glow with a bright red light, and emitted a cry before releasing twin jets of fire from its hands. One Foundation operative was incinerated before the other shot the instance in the head, appearing to kill it. The body of the SCP-XXXX-1 instance was examined, and no longer appeared to possess any anomalous properties. The remaining instance of SCP-XXXX-1 became extremely distressed it saw the body of the other instance, and collapsed in a heap.

Improvements:

Basically SCP-XXXX is an entity that is not yet contained. It is a humanoid figure that wears a coat that obscures its identity. In the few images the Foundation has obtained of it show it is the size of a regular human, with metallic tubes emerging from its hood. Its movements are all around the US, vanishing for months at a time before evidence of its location is found. It creates SCP-XXXX-1's by operating on a test subject that is a living animal. SCP-XXXX then proceeds to 'improve' the organism with cybernetics, replacing limbs, eyes heads and other parts. Its goal has been deduced from the altered humans that it has left behind, with modifications such as new legs, eyes, arms and additional appendages. The SCP claims to admire humanity, and only wants to 'improve the human race, so that it may eternally rule'.
