Special Containment Procedures: SCP-5196 is to be contained in an anti shatter proof glass box, the surrounding room and observation deck is also to be fitted with this glass and extra support beams. This room should be checked regularly to see if cracks in any part of the structure is there.

Description:SCP-5196 is a pocket watch from 1960 the makers of the watch is unknown as well as the materials in the watch due to the fact that they would need to get close to the watch which is impossible at this time. It is also unknown how this watch "contain" a part of the earthquake in itself.

SCP-5196's anomalous effects take place either when a person is 10 meters away from the object or every day at 14:55 to 15:05 the object will trigger an earthquake around it self approximately 100x100 metres. It has a magnitude of 9.3 to 9.5. The clock itself will not ring instead produces audio of people screaming, cars honking and sounds of buildings being destroyed.

SCP-5196 was discovered in 1960 in Chile after a foundation agent was helping with the rescue. He found the watch and took it then he was walking home when the item activated and shook him violently around he survived but with a broken skull. It was helicoptered away to avoid it from affecting the ground below for long amounts of time. It is currently at site-64 away from the other buildings in its own area.
