[ SCP-XXXX - ''The Tesseract'' ]
[ Object class: Safe ]
[ Containment Procedures ]
To safely contain SCP-XXXX, it is kept in a black-painted room under low-light conditions. The size of the room does not have any impact. Even if the room IS painted black and IS under low-light conditions, it is highly advised to wear safety glasses; similar to the lenses used in sunglasses.
The use of any light-emitting object should be prohibited upon entering the chambers of SCP-XXXX. As it is possible for eye damage and even temporary blindness.
[ Description ]
SCP-XXXX is a 15x15x15 centimeter cube. One face shows a small handle, approximately 3cm in length. The object has a light-grey color, painted onto the external structure. The material seems to be an alloy of iron and an unknown set of compounds. Upon pulling the 3cm handle, an opening is released.
The inside of the cube are mirrors attached to its internal structure. However, upon firing a laser or a light-emitting object, the light not only begins to reflect however increase its initial strength. The cube has received no damage throughout the years of testing. This includes 500Mw lasers and even stronger.
[ Addendum ]
Upon one of the few tests, a 55W red laser was placed inside the cube with a radio-wave controlled button to activate it. Inside the 55W red laser included a small camera and an audio-receiver.
Within an approximate 6 seconds, the laser was destroyed. The camera had survived an extra 14 seconds until it had vaporized, the audio receiver had also survived 4 seconds after the camera had been destroyed.
The camera feed shows that the theorized red emission was false, rather the laser has been increased but without a glow. The camera had also visualized the concept of 5th and 6th dimensions to a physical extent. Eventually, after 8 seconds, the red glow begins to return at a fast pace, within 3 seconds. The external shell of the laser begins to melt. Within an extra 3 seconds, the laser opens the 8th dimensions. It forms a line, which then expands to the 8 dimensions, with no way to comprehend it physically, it still manages to do so. Nonetheless, it was not able to bend reality in any way beyond its 15cm structure.
The audio log shows that there is a perfect sequence between the laser hitting one end of the mirror and reflected back, at 0.00800 nanoseconds. This sequence has never changed throughout the years of testing. At every 0.00800 Nanoseconds, a small pulse can be detected within the audio log. It has taken weeks to separate 2 combined audios. The other audio log that has caused the difficulty of accurate separation. The sound is described as 'robotic screaming' by many personnel, which occurs after 7 seconds- especially after the 5th and 6th dimensions are opened, and it increases to 829MHz. Then a 1000MHz when the 8th is opened. Luckily, it has not surpassed the cube's boundaries.
