Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be contained in a 3m x 3m x 3m room with a glass wall and glass door separating the containment room into two halves. SCP-XXXX is to be contained in the half of the containment room farthest from the containment room’s door. The room is to be enhanced with light panels covering the walls, floor, and ceiling of the room. The door of SCP-XXXX’s containment room is to also have a light panel to maintain the room with light at all angles. Personnel entering SCP-XXXX’s containment room are to wear a reflective suit specifically manufactured to interact with SCP-XXXX. as to not produce any shadows while interacting with SCP-XXXX.

Description: SCP-XXXX is a shadowlike parasitic entity which possesses the ability to control any shadow that comes into direct contact with it. SCP-XXXX fluctuates between various shapes depending on SCP-XXXX’s current host’s look. At the beginning SCP-XXXX behaves like a regular shadow. After an approximate three to five days SCP-XXXX starts to make subtle changes to its host’s shadow, causing most hosts to start questioning their sanity.

After two days of mentally unnerving its host, SCP-XXXX will use its gathered information on its host to kill its host in a manner inspired by their fears. SCP-XXXX shows to have a level of intelligence, by often choosing hosts who spend most of their time unescorted, and only revealing its anomalous mannerisms to its host. SCP-XXXX has also been observed to have chosen multiple hosts who were casual users of psychedelic drugs, as to deceive its host into believing the effects of SCP-XXXX are being hallucinated.

Discovery: The foundation first found out about SCP-XXXX through multiple people’s retelling of a urban legend, which after further investigation was found to be true.
