Item #: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Euclid
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be stored in Elevator Shaft #26 in Site-19.
SCP-XXXX is not to be used as a normal elevator. Its doors are to be painted yellow and a guard is to be placed next to SCP-XXXX to indicate that it is not a normal elevator. Individuals may only enter SCP-XXXX if it is approved by two (2) Senior Researchers. If SCP-XXXX is not entered at least once a week, it will move to another elevator shaft, thus breaching containment.
Individuals entering SCP-XXXX are to carry the following.
- One (1) walkie-talkie
- One (1) camera
- One (1) Mini Scranton Reality Anchor
- One (1) Beretta M9
- Two (2) magazines
- One (1) knife
- 96 hours' worth of food and water
Any unauthorized individuals attempting to enter SCP-XXXX are to be terminated by the guard.
Description: SCP-XXXX is an elevator car with ordinary appearance. Its floor is made of hardwood and brown in color. The lower half of the wall is brightly colored off-white wood, and the upper half of the wall is divided into five (5) sections, each colored brownish orange and divided by black lines. The ceiling is the same color as the walls, with three (3) lights in the ceiling. The elevator lacks a floor selection board.
The anomalous properties of SCP-XXXX manifest when at least one (1) individual enters SCP-XXXX. The elevator, rather than taking the rider(s) to another floor, descends for 30 seconds, taking the rider to a random location, real or fictional.
SCP-XXXX will detect what genres of music/artists the rider likes, and songs in said genre or by said artist will be played during its descent. In case of a group of people riding, SCP-XXXX will play a song from a genre/artist that all riders like.
A complete list of places visited by SCP-XXXX can be seen in Addendum XXXX-01. If SCP-XXXX takes the rider(s) to a fictional place, (hereby designated as SCP-XXXX-1) it will usually be a place from popular media. How SCP-XXXX has knowledge of human media is unknown.
From the outside, SCP-XXXX can take many forms, including:
- Another non-anomalous elevator
- A door.
- A pair of elevator doors. No elevator car is seen from the outside.
Once a subject exits SCP-XXXX into a real location, SCP-XXXX will revert to its former location.
If a subject exits SCP-XXXX into a fictional location, SCP-XXXX will stay where it is until the subject returns to SCP-XXXX, at which point it will take the subject back to Site-19.
The fictional worlds of SCP-XXXX are inhabited by lifeforms known as SCP-XXXX-2. They are either friendly or hostile towards the individual. If an individual dies in the fictional world, their cadaver will be transported up by SCP-XXXX and be ejected out into the hallway.
SCP-XXXX was discovered in the █████ building in [REDACTED], California after reports of disappearances in the area. Foundation agents embedded in local law enforcement handed custody over to the SCP Foundation. The car was removed and shipped to Elevator Shaft #26 at Site-19.

Exploration Logs
Addendum XXXX-03: Exploration I Log
Subject: D-2660
Purpose: Initial testing of SCP-XXXX
Supervisor: Dr. Rahul
Image from D-2660's camera.
<BEGIN LOG>
Dr. Rahul: D-2660, I would like you to confirm that all systems are go.
Camera?
D-2660: Check.
Dr. Rahul: Walkie-talkie?
D-2660: Check.
Dr. Rahul: Scranton Reality Anchor?
D-2660: Check.
Dr. Rahul: Ok, we're good to go. Proceed into SCP-XXXX.
D-2660: Okay.
D-2660 proceeds into SCP-XXXX. There is silence for 30 seconds as the elevator descends. Right Here, Right Now by Fatboy Slim is heard through the speakers. Finally, a loud thump is heard as the elevator stops. The bell dings as the doors open.
D-2660: Hey Doc, this is some green hallway.
D-2660 is located by Foundation radar stations in India and is determined to be in reality.
Dr. Rahul: Follow the hall.
D-2660 goes down the hallway, around a turn, and comes across a locked door.
D-2660: Doc, the door's locked.
Dr. Rahul: D-2660, I heard you were a good lock-picker…
D-2660: Oh yeah…
D-2660 finds a piece of metal wire on the ground and bends and twists it into an impromptu lock-pick. He picks the lock and successfully gets past the door, putting him at the top of a staircase.
D-2660: What now, Doc?
Dr. Rahul: Go down the stairs.
D-2660 does so, putting him on another landing with an open door. Going the opposite way is a staircase going down towards an exit.
D-2660: What do I do, Doc?
Dr. Rahul: Go into the hallway.
D-2660 enters the hallway. The hallway is lined with numbered doors, five on each side to make a total of ten. D-2660 appears to be in some sort of apartment building. However, the building shows extreme disrepair, indicating it is abandoned. At the center of the hall is an ad reading,
| yah sampatti rupaye mein bikree ke lie hai 30 karod vivaran ke lie bhaja holdings, ink se sampark karen. |
| Translation: This property is for sale at Rs. 30 crores. Contact Bhajja Holdings, Inc. for details. |
D-2660: Which way do I go?
Dr. Rahul: Go left, and when you reach the end of the hall, turn back and head the other way. I would like you to check out any room you can get inside.
D-2660 starts walking down the hall. He hits Room 105, and checks it. Room 105 appears to be a bare room.
D-2660: So…do I check all ten of these?
Dr. Rahul: Yes.
D-2660 walks to Room 104, but it appears to be locked from the inside.
D-2660: Huh. Weird…
Dr. Rahul: Proceed to Room 103.
D-2660 enters Room 103. It, strangely, is fully furnished, but there is not a peep of life.
D-2660:** I'm starting to get the bad vibes down here…
Dr. Rahul: Keep go-
Dr. Rahul is interrupted by the beeping of the Mini Scranton Reality Anchor, meaning that an extradimensional anomaly is ahead.
Dr. Rahul: D-2660! Stop!
D-2660: Okay. So, do I turn around and go the other way now?
Dr. Rahul: Yes.
D-2660 turns around and walks the other way, towards Room 106.
D-2660: Room 106? Doc…I've had some bad experiences with SCP-106.
Dr. Rahul: Just ignore it.
D-2660: Alright…
D-2660 enters Room 106, where, unlike the other apartments, the walls are painted black instead of pale green. Strange noises can be heard.
D-2660: Doc? This is very strange.
Dr. Rahul: Just move on to Room 107.
D-2660 does so. Room 107 has various writings on the walls. One of the writings says, [COGNITOHAZARD EXPUNGED]. D-2660 starts to enter a very panicked state.
Dr. Rahul:** D-2660? Calm down! (off camera) We need an auditory calming meme!
Control plays an auditory memetic calming agent and D-2660 calms down.
D-2660: Ok, I get the drift. We're going to Room 108.
D-2660 enters Room 108, where there is a giant hole in the ground. D-2660 approaches the hole, but the Scranton Reality Anchor beeps, indicating an extradimensional anomaly.
Dr. Rahul: D-2660, leave Room 108 and proceed to Room 109.
D-2660: Alrighty.
D-2660 cannot open Room 109's door. He attempts to lock-pick it, but the door is jammed.
D-2660: Doc, I can't open this one either.
Dr. Rahul: Proceed to Room 110.
D-2660 opens Room 110's door, but sees [DATA EXPUNGED].
Dr. Rahul: D-2660, get out of there! Proceed to the exit.
D-2660: Yes…that was scary as [EXPLETIVE].
D-2660 proceeds back to the door, onto the landing, and down the stairs. He exits the building and finds himself on the side of a poorly-made side road with a few trees on the side. He appears to be in the heart of a city.
Dr. Rahul: D-2660, do not move. We are sending a Mobile Task Force to your location to escort you back to Site-19.
<END LOG>
It was later identified D-2660 had been inside an anomalous building. The Foundation has since then purchased the building and classified it as SCP-████.
Addendum XXXX-04: Exploration II Log
Subject: D-1728
Purpose: To see if SCP-XXXX takes the rider to places other than SCP-████.
Supervisor: Dr. Whiptan
Image taken from D-1728's camera.
<BEGIN LOG>
Dr. Whiptan: Subject D-1728, we are going to perform a systems check.
D-1728: Alright.
Dr. Whiptan: Camera?
D-1728: Check.
Dr. Whiptan: Walkie-talkie?
D-1728: Check.
Dr. Whiptan: Scranton Reality Anchor?
D-1728: Check.
Dr. Whiptan: Okay, we're good to go. D-1728, proceed to SCP-XXXX.
D-1728: 'Kay.
D-1728 complies with the order. She enters the elevator and it descends for 30 seconds, playing Lone Digger by Caravan Palace, before coming to a stop.
D-1728: Whoa, what is this place?
The camera shows a stone walkway winding through the air towards a large mountain. Numerous ancient Greek buildings inhabit the mountain. It appears to be nighttime. D-1728 is not detected on any Foundation radar stations and is presumed to be in SCP-XXXX-1.
Dr. Whiptan: Continue walking on, D-1728.
D-1728 explores the walkway for a while before noticing signs of life, identified as SCP-XXXX-2. Some SCP-XXXX-2 start approaching D-1728. One of them blows a conch shell and a large horde of armed SCP-XXXX-2 come running down the walkway. Their weapons and armor appear to be of Ancient Greek design.
D-1728: What the [EXPLETIVE]?
Dr. Whiptan: D-1728, do not panic! Use your gun!
D-1728 starts running, but trips. She attempts to draw her M9, but an instance of SCP-XXXX-2 disarms her with its sword.
D-1728: Arrghh! No, get away! Get awa-
One of the SCP-XXXX-2 bludgeons D-1728 in the head six times, killing her. The camera feed goes to static and the walkie-talkie goes to silence.
Approximately 30 seconds later, D-1728's cadaver is thrown into the hallway leading to SCP-XXXX. At the same time, the camera feed shows a word written in (modern) Greek. A translation shows that it says SHE HAS PAID THE PRICE.
<END LOG>
Autopsy of D-1728's corpse reveals severe head trauma and various sword wounds.
Addendum XXXX-05: Exploration III Log
Team: DT-196
Team Lead: DT-196-Alpha
Team Members: DT-196-1, DT-196-2, DT-196-3.
Purpose: To see if SCP-XXXX works when more than one person is aboard.
Supervisor: Site-19 Command
Picture taken from DT-196-2's camera, before SCP-XXXX-2's appearance.
<BEGIN LOG>
Site-19 Command: Alright, DT-196. You're about to enter SCP-XXXX. We're going to give 196-Alpha some control here, but we will maintain superficial command of the exploration.
DT-196-Alpha: Copy that. DT-196, check your cameras.
DT-196-2: Check.
DT-196-3: Yep.
DT-196-1: And third check. Heh, I'm third but I'm first. Heh heh.
DT-196-Alpha: Check your walkie-talkies.
DT-196-3: Workin' fine!
DT-196-2: Good.
DT-196-1: Cam is good.
DT-196-Alpha: Now check your Scranton Reality Anchors.
DT-196-1: A what?
DT-196-Alpha: Those thingies that look like guns.
DT-196-2 pulls out his Beretta M9.
DT-196-Alpha: No, not that!
DT-196-3: Ah, found it! Yep, it works!
DT-196-2: Seconded.
DT-196-1: Thirded.
DT-196-Alpha: All cleared.
Site-19 Command: DT-196, enter SCP-XXXX.
DT-196-Alpha: Copy that.
DT-196-Alpha directs his team inside SCP-XXXX. The elevator doors close.
DT-196-Alpha: Here goes nothing…
The elevator descends for 30 seconds, playing The Number of The Beast by Iron Maiden. A loud thump is heard and the elevator opens…into Site-19.
DT-196-Alpha: What?
DT-196-3: Well, nothing happened!
Site-19 Command: Never mind that. Get back down there.
DT-196-Alpha: Roger that.
DT-196 descends down, and this time, the door opens into a strange cyber-land, which Foundation personnel confirm is SCP-XXXX-1.
DT-196-2 notices a form rising through the virtual landscape, which is confirmed to be an instance of SCP-XXXX-2.
DT-196-2: What the [EXPLETIVE] is that thing?
Site-19 Command: SCP-XXXX-2.
DT-196-Alpha: They're basically alien thingies.
SCP-XXXX-2: Come…
Site-19 Command: DT-196, Do not fire at the SCP-XXXX-2.
DT-196-2 in his panic disobeys the order by firing his M9 at the SCP-XXXX-2, angering it.
DT-196-Alpha: GET OUT OF THERE!
The instance of SCP-XXXX-2 moves at a velocity of 21.5 km/h towards DT-196-2. He is struck and killed. DT-196-1 soon follows.
DT-196-3: RUN!
DT-196-Alpha is wounded by the SCP-XXXX-2. in his leg, causing him to enter a state of shock and go immobile.
DT-196-Alpha: Aaaghh…Two, leave without me…
DT-196-3: No!
DT-196-3 starts dragging DT-196-Alpha to SCP-XXXX.
DT-196-Alpha: Nooo…Save yourself…
DT-196-3 and DT-196-Alpha make it back to SCP-XXXX, and it reverts back to Site-19. At the same time, SCP-XXXX ejects the cadavers of DT-196-1 and DT-196-2. An autopsy performed on both revealed that they had died of electrocution.

Debriefing interviews can be accessed in Addenda XXXX-05.1 and -05.2.
Addendum XXXX-05.1: Interview with DT-196-Alpha
Interviewer: Dr. Keith Jay
Interviewee: DT-196-Alpha
<BEGIN LOG>
Dr. Jay: If you could take a seat right here, please.
DT-196-Alpha: Sure thing.
DT-196-Alpha sits down.
Dr. Jay: So, we have a few questions for you.
DT-196-Alpha nods his head.
Dr. Jay: First things first. What did it feel like when you got wounded by the SCP-XXXX-2?
DT-196-Alpha: It felt…so…painful. Well, it's still painful, but now that your amazing staff have taped it all up, it feels a little better. But there was something else…
Dr. Jay: Go on!
DT-196-Alpha: Please. I don't want to talk about this.
Dr. Jay: Just do it. We need to know.
DT-196-Alpha: Okay, fine. I felt a strange comfort inside SCP-XXXX-1, and I didn't want to go.
But Two didn't want to leave me. He wanted to be the hero and rescue me. But I LIKED IT THERE. I LIKED IT THERE! [EXPLETIVE] YOU, THREE!
Dr. Jay, worried that DT-196-Alpha will enter a stage of extreme anger, terminates the interview. Sedatives are administered to DT-196-Alpha, and he is put back in his cell with a plate of food.

Addendum XXXX-05.2: Interview with DT-196-2
Interviewer: Dr. Keith Jay
Interviewee: DT-196-2
<BEGIN LOG>
Dr. Jay: DT-196-2, please take a seat.
DT-196-3: Alrighty.
DT-196-3 sits down.
Dr. Jay: We've got some questions for you.
DT-196-3: Okay. Let's get this done and over with.
Dr. Jay: First: Why did you drag DT-196-Alpha to SCP-XXXX? He seems to be quite upset over this.
DT-196-3: Well, I don't remember much about my life before here, but I do remember one thing: I've always wanted to be a hero, and it has gotten me in trouble. So I wanted to help DT-196-Alpha. I assumed he would be grateful for it, but I guess not.
Dr. Jay: Interesting. Second question: What did it feel like inside SCP-XXXX-1?
DT-196-3: It felt comforting, but I wanted to get out of there and go back to reality. I liked it, but I also didn't like it. Catch my drift?
Dr. Jay: Yes. I think we're done here.
