SCP-7936 shortly after escaping Site-██

Item #: SCP-7936

Object Class: Euclid

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-7936 is to be kept in a 5³m steel airtight containment cell with a thermal monitor to modulate temperature. Liquid nitrogen is to be displaced into the cell every hour through 4 vents on each wall of the cell. SCP-7936’s cell is to be kept at -160 Celsius at all times. If the temperature of the cell goes higher than -150 C, ventilation throughout the facility is to be closed, and all personnel should be evacuated. No personnel may enter SCP-7936’s cell, or see SCP-7936. Personnel who have viewed SCP-7936 should be submitted for psychiatric evaluation and Physical therapy.

Description: SCP-7936 is a cloud of smoke measuring about 1³m. In an inactive state, SCP-7936 looks similar to that of a small cloud, though, in its active state, the object will transform into a humanoid shape.

SCP-7936 will only transform into a humanoid shape when it is near a human of age 20-35, without a romantic partner of any form currently. When SCP-7936 is within 3 meters of its prey, it will transform into a humanoid with features that are attractive to the prey.

One of the ways of attracting prey is to mimic the sounds or actions of humans with no identifiable difference, similar to SCP-939. Testing shows that victims can be male or female. Testing on animals is yet to happen. The Object will trigger hormones, and make the victim feel intense attraction.

SCP-7936 will approach the victim and then kiss the victim. Upon contact, SCP-7936 will dissipate into smoke, and enter the victim’s lungs. Victims will die after 2-3 minutes with suffocation and severe damage to the lungs. Researchers identify the cause of death as asphyxiation.

SCP-7936 typically travels through ventilation to reach its targets, though it has been seen [DATA EXPUNGED] around when there is no ventilation nearby.

SCP-7936 can be rendered into its inactive state by cooling the object down. No other methods have been found.

The foundation became aware of SCP-7936 on date ██/██/████ after police reported multiple deaths from suffocation in a Las-Vegas club. Many eyewitnesses reported seeing a very attractive woman walking around, who would suddenly disappear into a cloud of smoke. The Fountain then made a cover-up about a deadly gas from the group known as Al-Qaeda to not disrupt the masses. The Foundation took on the investigation from that point, and all eyewitnesses were administered Class-A amnestic.

Addendum: [Interview log 1936-1:]

Interviewed: Anna █████

Interviewer: Dr. ████████

Foreword: Anna █████ who was working as a lab technician when SCP-7936 entered her laboratory through a vent. Researchers were able to save her by firing a prototype Mirco H.I.D at the object in the early stages of entering Dr. Anna █████’s lungs. Dr. Anna █████ suffers from asthma now and is fully recovered.

Dr. ████████: Hello Anna █████, we would like to hear about your experience with SCP-7936.

Anna █████: Yes, I will. I was working on some samples with researchers [REDACTED] when suddenly, a giant cloud of smoke entered the room from the air vents. We thought it was a fire somewhere, and I went to grab my radio and contact somebody.

Dr. ████████: Yes, please continue.

Anna █████: Sure. I turned away for a bit, and when I turned around, there was this guy. He was like six feet tall, with blond hair. He must’ve been the hottest man I've ever seen.

Dr. ████████: What was the man wearing?

Anna █████: I don’t remember. Maybe it was a security uniform? Maybe it was a lab coat? I can’t quite remember. All I remember was that I wasn't panicked at all that a random man was in the lab. I felt quite calm like he belonged right there.

Dr. ████████: Did he say anything?

Anna █████: Yes. He did. I can’t remember, though I remember that it was something about how right I was for him, and all this romantic stuff. I didn’t think it was creepy at all. I felt, you know, in love with him, like I’d known him forever.

Dr. ████████: Please continue.

Anna █████: he started getting closer, but I didn’t feel threatened at all. There was this little part of me that was screaming at me to stop, though I couldn't control myself. I wanted to be close to him, you know.

Dr. ████████: From viewing security footage, we see that he leaned in to kiss you. Is this correct?

Anna █████: Yes. He did. It was at this time I realized something was wrong. The guy was gone, and I felt this ashy feeling in my lungs, like the time in 10th grade when my highschool caught on fire. It was awful, and I felt myself suffocating. It was so painful. The last thing I remember is falling to the ground and blacking out. Then I woke up in the medical bay.

Dr. ████████: Thank you for your time.
