Special Containment Procedures:
SCP-XXXX is to be contained in a standard safe-class object lock-box at Site [REDACTED]. The lock-box is to be locked with a randomized code changed monthly. Level 4 researcher personnel will be told of the new code upon the beginning of a monthly code change. Anyone requesting access to SCP-XXXX for testing will require approval by at least one level 4 Researcher, who must unlock the box manually out of sight of the requesting party to ensure the code is not revealed. At least one security guard should monitor the requesting party during this time and be ready to intervene should the object be accidentally activated. SCP-XXXX must be handled with gloves of at least 3 mm thickness to ensure it is not activated. After conclusion of testing, the object is to be immediately returned to containment. At no point in time should any except D-Class personnel activate the object. Should anyone other than D-Class personnel attempt to use the object, they are to be tranquilized and submitted for psychiatric analysis.

Description:
SCP-XXXX is a pink plastic jump-rope with light green grips. The object is approximately 3 mm thick and 2.7 meters long and has the capacity to stretch an additional 30 centimeters. When held by any human with full use of both arms and legs (hereafter referred to as the subject), the subject will feel a strong compulsion to use it for its intended purpose. This effect can be resisted with moderate effort, although children seem to be more susceptible. Upon the subject jumping over the rope successfully one time, the jump rope will create an invisible force-field at the circumference of the jump rope's arc. This force-field has no measurable presence and the only way to tell if it is present is to activate its effect. This forcefield will deflect any projectiles and knock back anyone attempting to enter its area of effect. If someone persists in attempting to enter the area of effect, the force-field will sever the intruding part from its source with perfect precision related to the thickness of SCP-XXXX and meeting no resistance. SCP-XXXX cuts through the intruding object as it moves, causing pain as expected in living organisms.

During use of SCP-XXXX, the subject can still fail to jump over the rope, severing the obstructing body part, generally the legs. Upon the severing of this body part, the force-field immediately dissipates and SCP-XXXX forces itself from the subjects hands, exerting only the required force to do so.
