SCP-1471-A-187

A digital sketch page of A-187, created by an instance of SCP-2300.

Item #: SCP-1471-A-187

Object Class: Euclid

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-1471-A-187 is to be housed in a medium-sized humanoid containment suite at Site-17, furnished per her request, and requests for personal items and modifications to the suite are to be granted when reasonable. A-187's host is not required to be housed on-site with A-187, but is encouraged to attend bi-monthly psychological evaluations with Foundation personnel. To maintain the social and emotional well-being of A-187, it is also encouraged for her host to keep in contact with the entity through text messaging and bi-weekly visits.

A-187 is allowed to roam the facility when accompanied by at least 1 member of on-site personnel, contingent on good behavior. While A-187 is generally well behaved and force has so far never been needed to capture/re-containment her, she may be incapacitated using any means that would work on a regular humanoid individual. A-187 remains in a physically materialized form at all times, and as such the use of an Obelisk Device1 is not necessary.

It is recommended that any clothing or personal items used regularly by A-187 be made from an organic material, such as wool, silk, wood, or keratin, as A-187’s “glitchy” nature and clumsy personality often cause parts of her body to phase through non-organic matter. In any event that A-187 becomes stuck in a table, chair, wall, door, or other surface/object, Procedure 187-Kanawha is to be carried out by at least 3 members of on-site maintenance or security personnel, which involves the use of aerosol lubricants and rotary saws to liberate A-187.

Description: SCP-1471-A-187 is a sapient instance of SCP-1471-A, nicknamed "Jean" by her host, a woman named Becky █████. Her host2 downloaded MalO ver1.1.0 on August 31st, ████. While initially fearing A-187, she eventually realized that the anomaly was harmless, and decided to befriend her, attempting to teach her how to communicate and behave like a regular person. As a result of MalO v1.1.0's unstable build, A-187 often "glitches out", phasing and clipping into objects, rubber banding throughout the environment, and accidently producing temporary duplicates of herself.

A-187 has the appearance of a humanoid female covered in dark blue fur, with wavy black hair typically tied back in a ponytail, long dark blue vulpine ears, bright blue eyes with black pupils set inside of black eye sockets, a yellow crescent moon on her forehead, and a white canid-like skull. In addition, A-187 has no flesh from the elbows down, her hands and lower forearms being made of only bone and ligaments.

A-187 seems to be fairly well educated and has a polite personality, as well as a kind and nurturing disposition towards researchers that attempt to study her, and is close friends with another instance of SCP-1471-A housed at Site-17 classified as SCP-1471-A-96. However, A-187 expresses displeasure with A-96's mischief and bad behavior, and will apologize profusely for any trouble she causes, as well as attempt to fix the situations. However, A-187's "glitchy" properties often cause parts of her body to phase through objects and get stuck in them, which often ends up causing her to create more damage and make whatever situation A-96 caused far worse than if she simply tried not to get involved. On-site personnel are encouraged to be sympathetic towards A-187, as has no control over these phase events and usually seems embarrassed or guilty about it, and is genuinely trying her best and to help.

Addendum 01: Primary Logs

Addendum 02: As of May 12th, 20██, A-187 has been given a job and assigned to work at the Site-17 canteen in an effort to help improve her self-esteem and own perceived value at the facility. She is only to be given access to kitchen utensils, tools, and surfaces made of organic materials such as wood, so to avoid any phase events that could cause her hands to get stuck in anything.

Note To All Researchers: I would like to remind staff that while you are here, you are at work. I understand the temptation to visit A-187 and A-96, eat homemade Chinese food, and sit around playing video games all day. I understand that it feels rude to decline when they invite you to spend time with them. However, these activities are not part of their containment procedures. You may visit them after hours, but only once all of your work for the day has been completed. And for the love of gods, if Jean cooks you something to eat, finish it. You know how she gets.
