Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be kept in a multi-layered container. The inner layer is to be a 5m x 5m x 5m steel room with the insides lined by acoustic foam with 4" wedges. The
outer layer is a 7m x 7m x 7m steel room with the insides lined by acoustic foam with 2" wedges. Site ██ is to have at least two deaf security guards on site at all times in the case of a containment breach. If an entity is detected in XXXX's containment cell without authorization, said entity is to be declared an instance of XXXX - 1 and terminated immediately.
Normal ammunition has no effect as it appears to pierce through XXXX with no resistance. Conductive electrical weapons are the most effective at apprehending XXXX without incident. Incendiary weapons are not preferred due to XXXX screeching upon being exposed to sufficient heat.
Description: SCP-XXXX is a dark gray gelatinous being approximately 3 meters long at max length that usually takes the approximate shape of a capsule. XXXX has two pupil-less brightly luminescent eyes that glow a bright yellow. XXXX has the ability to materialize appendages at will from its central mass with no apparent limit in quantity, though its mass never increases with each appendage, resulting in the shrinking of its central mass as more appendages are created.
Despite apparently having no orifices, XXXX has the capability to emit screeches that range in frequency from 800 - 100 Hz. If heard at a volume above 70 dB these screeches universally trigger a fear response in humans and other higher primates. This fear response is so intense that it completely restricts movement for 91% of males and 90% of females, and severely limits movement for the remaining subjects.
XXXX can also attach itself to humans. This works in tandem with its immobilizing abilities. XXXX tends to target humans who are less fortunate in their status in the world, with 64% of its subjects being orphaned, impoverished children. Upon being connected to XXXX humans are dubbed an instance of XXXX - 1.
Instances of XXXX - 1 enter a comatose state where their bodily functions rapidly increase, causing them to experience a year in biological aging in approximately 1.56 hours. At the time of writing, it is hypothesized that XXXX is using instances of XXXX - 1 essentially as batteries. Further testing will be conducted at a later date.
