Object Class: Thaumiel
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be kept in a sealed carbon fiber box marked "do not open" and stored in containment site 7. The box should be 6ft wide by 6ft high to allow SCP-XXXX room to move but should be kept impermeable to any outside air, moisture and light. The material of the box is to allow for quick and easy movement while also providing strength. The object posses no threat to humans but should only be handled by those with a Thaumiel level clearance only. Anyone who comes in contact with or learns the existence of SCP-XXXX will be detained and administered an amnestic drug to aid in forgetting the event or subsequent information pertaining to SCP-XXXX. Upon being released they will be monitored until it is determined their memory of said object hasn't returned.
Description: SCP-XXXX is a 3ft tall black avionoid that resembles something akin to a Potoo with orange bioluminescent eyes. SCP-XXXX so far seems to be the only of its kind in its found location but shares DNA with animals in the Caprimulgiformes Order. SCP-XXXX's feathers and eggs also have anomalous properties. SCP-XXXX seems to be devoid of the need for sleep, food or water but has a strong desire to escape its confinements the same way normal birds want freedom from their cage. Upon retrieval in the Amazon rainforest it was determined that many locals were aware of the bird and even used it feathers to cure illnesses. The eggs however were kept as trophies due to their toughness and rarity.
Besides seeming like a normal bird, SCP-XXXX displays a very high intelligence and upon arrival to the facility was attracted to the location of several anomalous entities housed therein giving rise to the theory that SCP-XXXX is immune to their effects and is down to them in curiosity.
The feathers, which have been given the designation of SCP-XXXX-1 seem to restore one from the effects of other anomalous items and can even make one immune to these effects if enough feathers are on one persons. See "SCP-XXXX-1 Experiment results below".
SCP-XXXX-2 are the eggs produced by SCP-XXXX. SCP-XXXX-2 is black metallic in color and gives off a warm glow. The "eggs" in question produce a Bioluminescent yolk that gives off a sweet scent akin to mangos. "See SCP-XXXX-2 Experiment Results below".

Subject: D-40001
Procedure: D-40001 was given a single feather from SCP-XXXX and was administered 50mg of Lysergic acid diethylamide, as it was believed that the feathers somehow blocked anomalous effects on the mind. LSD seemed a safer medium before subjects were to be exposed to other SCPs'.
Results: D-40001 after several hours appeared perfectly fine and even joked with staff. The subject commented on being hungry and craving eggs and after another hour was released and given a plate of scrambled eggs to which the refused and asked for raw eggs.

Subject: D-7867
Procedure: Subject was chosen due to their moderate Schizophrenia. This subject off of their medication displays aberrant behaviour, paranoia, mania/depression and hallucinations as wells some delusional behaviour and being unable to make sense of reality. The subject was removed of their clothes and placed in a cell with nothing but food and water and was subsequently denied any medication to manage their disorder. After 24 hours a single feather was placed in the cell via a feeding tray slid under the door.
Results: The subject who was now in one corner of the cell scratching symbols on the wall actively avoided the tray saying it was a "trap". After 2 more hours the subject seemed to obsess on a corner of the room and stumbled back falling on the food tray and making contact with the feather. Upon contact with the feather the subject asked where their clothes went and seemed to regain perfect clarity. The subject was removed from the cell after several hours and reportedly has not had a need for their medication. They seem to be cured from their disorder. They requested raw eggs upon removal from their cell.
