Special Containment Procedures: Both rooms connected by SCP-5603 have been renovated as testing areas. Personnel within Site-██ are advised to be cautious when opening a facility door while a test on SCP-5603 is ongoing. Keycards with the security Level 5 or higher must not be inserted into SCP-5603-1 see Test Log 5603-A for details. Should the said facility door be affected by the anomalous effects of SCP-5603, please refer to Addendum Log 5603-A Addendum Log 5603-D. In the event of SCP-5603 being triggered by a [REDACTED], refer to Addendum Log 5603-C. Further testing on SCP-5603 must abid by Addendum Log 5603-B.
Description: SCP-5603 is a steel facility door located in Site-██. SCP-5603 connected a hallway and the office of Dr. ███████, prior to discovery. Both rooms have been renovated as testing areas for testing on SCP-5603. Dr. ███████ has been given a new office, after SCP-5603’s discovery.
SCP-5603-1 refers to the keycard slot that activates SCP-5603’s anomalous effects. After replacing SCP-5603-1 with a new keycard slot and installing SCP-5603-1 to a new facility door, SCP-5603 ceased to exhibit its anomalous properties. As of now, SCP-5603-1 has been reinstalled and connected to SCP-5603.
SCP-5603 was discovered by Junior Researcher. █████ whilst retrieving Dr. ███████’s coffee mug. Junior Researcher. █████ inserted his Level 2 keycard into SCP-5603-1, activating SCP-5603. Junior Researcher. █████, unaware of SCP-5603’s anomalous effects, ended up being transported to the site’s cafeteria.
SCP-5603’s anomalous effects only activate when a keycard with a security level of 2 or higher is inserted into SCP-5603-1. Once activated, a facility door within Site-42, with the same appearance as SCP-5603 will become the new temporary destination of SCP-5603. After a period of 10 seconds, SCP-5603 will close along with the facility door affected by SCP-5603.
