Authors note, prior to beginning: I am a new SCP writer, and I realize I have made the grave mistake of designing a humanoid as my first project. As such… I welcome criticisms, critiques, and comments even more so than one normally should. I also had the potential idea to use this SCP to aide me in creating a youtube channel to explain the fandom to new comers (Gem would be the narrator, and some lore would be revealed in the videos), which is part of the reason it is the way it is. I may not make the channel but hopefully I do.

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-5124 has provided means to contain itself, stating that 'good behaviour means I'll get more freedom, right?". SCP-5124 has provided scientists with a remote control, designated SCP-5124-1a, that seem to control SCP-5124-1b, a set of metal cuff the SCP itself wears on both wrists. If these do not work, standard SRAs will prove effective, though it will become adjudicated and violent towards Foundation members. SRAs are to be used in extreme situations. In addition, a small unit is to record its whereabouts.
Description: SCP-5124 most commonly presents as a teenaged male human, though its hair, eyes, and natural coverings are blacker than natural and appear to have a black gaseous element surrounding them. They have no effect on personnel, but it is still advised to not make contact with it.
Other forms it presents as are as such: A small short haired cat, a large hound, and a vulture-like black form. SCP-5124 is fairly obedient to the foundation, but often is very sarcastic. Do not take offense or alarm, as it will follow orders almost fully.
SCP-5124-1a is a remote, with a speakerphone on the top. There is a large button in the center, top row. Beneath it is two smaller buttons. There appears to be room for several more rows of buttons.
SCP-5124-1b is a set of stainless steel cuffs. They have no visible way to remove them, nor any visible way of putting them on.
SCP-5124 often wanders, even leaving the facility. It is unclear what it is doing, but no one has been harmed or even showed discomfort. SCP-5124 has even started conversation with civilians.
Discovery: This SCP is rather interesting, as it was discovered within Site [redacted], sitting in Dr. Diano's office chair. It had a file in its hands and appeared to be reading it. It looked up, grinned, set the file down, and introduced itself as 'Gem, your newest addition to your collection.' It flicked its wrists, SCP-5124 1b appearing on its wrists. It bowed and offered SCP-5124 to Dr. Diano. Dr. Diano hesitantly accepted and called in security. The SCP was taken to an interrogation room.

Dr. Diano: Why were you in my office?
SCP-5124: *shrugs* It was more comfortable than the floor?
Dr. Diano: You were reading our files-
SCP-5124: And I breeched containment protocols by taking this information? *As Dr. Diano attempts a response* Don't worry. You can order me to not say a word. Just press the big button on top and speak into the speaker.
Dr. Diano: Uhuuh. *glances to SCP-5124-1a* Maybe later.
SCP-5124: You don't trust me? *appears mock hurt, then winces and puts a hand to the back of its head*
Dr. Diano: You called yourself Gem?
SCP-5124: I did indeed. It's a rough translation of my given name, whichhh… You'd not understand and could quite possibly create a problem in the space time continuum to know. Nevermind that. Call my Gem, or whatever identification tag you have for me. Five…. One Twenty-four, if I'm not mistaken?
Dr. Diano: Gem, then. *folds hands over table* Why are you here?
SCP-5124: I don't know. Why am I here? Your the one who had me brought to this room.
Dr. Diano: *sighs and mutters* So it's sarcastic. *talking to SCP-5124 again* In this lab, I mean.
SCP-5124:*grins* Of coursee of course! *leans back in its chair* Same reason you are, really.
Dr. Diano: Which is?
SCP-5124: Researching anomalies. *seeing Dr. Diano straighten* oo that got your attention? *with a languid gesture* I am a very curious being, Doctor, and not all anomalies in this plane of being are from the same reality. *looks around* Although your relativity is very ridged and rule bound, I'm sure a great many even come from your own world. *sighs* But anyways. Continue on.
Dr. Diano: Why do you want to… research… anomalies?
SCP-5124: They're interesting. They're unique. I'm bored? *shrugs* And to answer other questions you may have: The remote controls the cuffs. *lifts wrists to show the cuffs* These limit my energy input and output. Can't eat as much of the fabric of reality as I should be able to, so I'll be able to affect it less. I thinkkk…. *Dr. Diano jumps, seemingly in response to the SCP's action* Yeah. All I can do is alter perception. Or… personal reality. Same difference, really.
Dr. Diano: Hm. *visibly shaken* If you know so much about us, are you aware of what will happen?
SCP-5124: I'll get my own room and be locked in it?
Dr. Diano: I wouldn't word it like that, but yes. And we'll have to do further research on you.
SCP-5124: *As it is taken out* of course.
Addendum-1: SCP-5124 has been seen with a tablet, hereby dubbed SCP-5124-3. It has no branding. It is 10 inch by 7 inch all white electronic. SCP-5124 has allowed researchers to study this. It appears to be a normal tablet, with the exception of a high level of radiation. It is believed this matches an unconstrained SCP-5124.
