SCP-XXXX is to be contained on location. Security Personnel are patrol the area surrounding
SCP-XXXX and to immediately report any sightings of SCP-XXXX-1 to their site director.
Description:
SCP-XXXX is a storm drain located in ███████, New Jersey. The Storm drain has been the center of local lore since the late 1970's with locals calling it the "Gates of Hell" In relation to graffitti tagged on the inner wall bearing those words. Despite its local acclaim it did not attract the attention of the Foundation until ██/██/1993 when reports of a red eyed figure luring people towards the forest that houses SCP-XXXX began circulating. Upon investigation The storm drain was discovered approximately 41 meters into the forest. No entities matching the characteristics of SCP-XXXX-1 had been found at the time. Multiple attempts at exploration into SCP-XXXX had been made each yielding different results.

Following SCP-XXXX's discovery foundation personnel were tasked with providing disinformation campaigns including doctored footage of the supposed inside of SCP-XXXX revealing it to be an ordinary storm drain, as well as a locally syndicated news article claiming that SCP-XXXX-1 (locally known as Red eyed Mike) doesn't exist and that sightings were simply a hoax. However due to SCP-XXXX's local significance the campaign failed to sway the opinions of many of the city's residents. Amnestics were administered by way the towns reservoir.
