Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX-1 is to be kept inside of SCP-XXXX-2. The entire chamber must be scanned daily (at 0800 hours) for any signs of aging or damage. If any new changes in the chamber are documented, report the finding to the site director(s) immediately, as this may constitute a change in procedures.
Every day (at 1200 hours) one Class-D personnel is to be sent into SCP-XXXX-2 to push SCP-XXXX-1 back into its constant counter-clockwise rotation. If it is pushed clockwise, the direction of rotation must be corrected as quickly as possible. Should SCP-XXXX-1 stop rotating at any other time, or start rotating the opposite direction of its own accord, report this to the site director(s) immediately, as this definitely constitutes a change in procedures, and could possibly lead to a containment breach.
No magnetic materials are to be brought into SCP-XXXX-2.
Any strange occurrences that happen within 20 meters of SCP-XXXX must be documented.
Description: SCP-XXXX is the entirety of Containment Chamber XXXX (SCP-XXXX-2), and the object contained within (SCP-XXXX-1).
SCP-XXXX-1 is a bicone, the two halves of which seem exactly congruent. It is made of an undetermined metal that is magnetic. Every magnet or metal object attached makes the magnetic field grow stronger. It is standing on a marble cylinder in the center of the room. If undisturbed, it rolls on one cone in a perfect circle around the top of the pillar, counter-clockwise, only stopping every day at noon. It will not start again until pushed.
SCP-XXXX-2 is the containment chamber that SCP-XXXX-1 is in. While it seems to have no anomalous properties of its own, it has obviously been affected by the same incident that brought SCP-XXXX-1 into our timeline.
SCP-XXXX was discovered immediately after classification of SCP-XXX(X-1). SCP-XXXX-1 appeared in containment without any staff putting it there. It appeared with the proper procedure documents and data, though the documents do not line up with its current properties, and are written by staff who have not worked in the foundation prior.
Further research shows that SCP-XXXX was always in its current location in its current form, since the beginning of observable history. Site-██ seems to have been built around it, without any staff or construction crew noticing it.
It's believed that on ██/██/20██, at roughly ██:██ PM, SCP-XXXX was inserted into our timeline, existing from the beginning of time to the end of time in that one point in space. SCP-XXXX-2 exhibits no damages or changes, and has never been in less than pristine condition. Despite this being our best explanation, SCP-XXXX-1 stopping its rotation every noon contradicts this, as it is very clearly associated with the current time.
Addendum: Testing SCP-XXXX-1 with electric current has been prohibited by O5.
