Item #: SCP-XXXX

Object Class: Euclid Keter

Special Containment Procedures: MTF Mu-7 ("Lucky Numbers") are to locate and store all physical instances of SCP-XXXX-B within containment lockers, whereas all digital instances are to be archived before their removal.

All 53 instances of SCP-XXXX-C are to be contained and monitored within separate humanoid containment cells. No provisions or amenities are to be provided. At no time should a cell be opened.

Description: SCP-XXXX is a stage magic performance with three components.

SCP-XXXX-A designates the possibly memetic entity responsible for coordinating and performing each event of SCP-XXXX. While the entity is never seen during a performance, its voice always manifests from loci near focal points onstage.

Attempts to corroborate the specific loci and speech of SCP-XXXX-A produce discrepancies between attendees, and recording audio in any manner produces no meaningful results. Although, when questioned attendees always state they recognize the voice. As a result, SCP-XXXX-A is speculated to be a memetic effect of SCP-XXXX-C.

SCP-XXXX-B designates all promotional and related media for events of SCP-XXXX. Instances include both physical and digital manifestations such as:

  • Paper flyers (most common form of SCP-XXXX-B)
  • Webpages
  • Recordings of performances
  • Notes and schedules
  • Video advertisements

Most instances contain a list of tour dates and locations spanning a week. An analysis of all recorded locations and dates since its debut in 2007 reveal a higher concentration of events within large cities during the most common times of leisure.

SCP-XXXX-C designates the set of 53 featureless marionettes used as assistants during performances3. All instances exhibit partial sentience and autonomy limited to slight limb movement and facial expression. Effective containment of all instances prevents events of SCP-XXXX.

During the beginning of a performance, available instances of SCP-XXXX-C will mimic features of children from each family attending4. SCP-XXXX-A will invite each set of parents to assist with a single magic trick performed on the SCP-XXXX-C copy of their child/children. After a performance, all attending children proceed to expire from injuries mirroring a possible accident to have occurred during the magic trick. The SCP-XXXX-C copies proceed to return to their initial state. All interviewed attendees, including the parents of the deceased children, report feeling relief and contentment as a result.

Currently, any further investigation into the nature of SCP-XXXX-C outside their containment cells is impossible due to SCP-XXXX-A presumably entering the Foundation and assisting with escape by manifesting string onto each instance for control, akin to the way SCP-XXXX-A performs with the instances. How SCP-XXXX-A is able to enter the Foundation and provide that assistance during these opportunities is unknown.
