Item #: SCP-4428
Object Class: Safe
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-4428 is to be kept folded in its closed position (hereafter referred to as its dormant state), and secured in a tight fitting sheath with a clasp. Instances of SCP-4428-1 are to be labeled and stored with minimum or no security, or destroyed.
SCP-4428-2 is to be kept separate from SCP-4428 and all instances of SCP-4428-1.
SCP-4428 is to be handled where devices and substances which are known or hypothesized to function by electrical signals, including living tissue, are absent. Daily reports are to be made confirming SCP-4428 remains dormant while in storage, as prolonged activation could result in extreme structural damage to equipment, staff, and facility infrastructure. Change in its dormancy status is not expected at this time.
SCP-4428 is currently being kept in Site-55’s ongoing research department.
Notice of Operation: A graduating threat radius must be recognized at all times when SCP-4428 is in its open state (hereafter referred to as active). SCP-4428 is not to be activated in the emergency containment of, destruction of, or defense from any facility anomalies that it might affect. Researchers are permitted to test with SCP-4428 only under the approval and supervision of at least one Level-2 Researcher.
Description:
**SCP-4428 needs to be revised under these guidelines! SCP-4428 is an anomalous condition, obtained after exposure to Spacial-Event-4428. SCP-4428-1 refers to the subject (human, male, mozambiquean, 31) who was caught in the event. After exiting, he was found dead, and totally electrically inert. SCP-4428-2 refers to all articles carried by SCP-4428-1 during exposure to the event. SCP-4428-2-I refers to the blade of the folding knife, the only surviving article, as all others including SCP-4428-1 have been destroyed through natural decomposition, fire (see incident-report-99512.3). All instances of and remains of SCP-4428-1 and SCP-4428-2 including ashes, microbial growth, [DATA EXPUNGED], and [DATA EXPUNGED], and persisting instances of SCP-4428-3, are to be contained to microbe proof quarantine conditions. SCP-4428-3 refers to the temporary instances of SCP-4428 created through physical contact touching or nearer proximity to SCP-4428-1 or SCP-428-2.
SCP-4428 creates in what it effects, complete electrical imperiousness and nullity. SCP-4428 persists in SCP-4428-1 and SCP-4428-2, but is temporary in instances of SCP-4428-3. Tertiary designation is held only as long as effects persist. Exposure to electrical current prolongs SCP-4428 as indefinitely as current is maintained. SCP-4428-3 share SCP-4428 contagiously through physical contact, with timing of the spread of affected area differing according to the natural conductivity of the material exposed. Natural electrical conductivity greater than 12amp (look into this), as well as lesser than 11amp, results in a quicker rate of contagion spread. SCP-4428 in these scenarios spreads at a base rate of .203 square inches per minute of exposure, taking almost one hundred times as long for the effect to dissipate on its own (95x). This rate of contagion spread exceeds the base rate by exactly five times, per #amp greater than 12amp or lower than 11amp in natural conductivity.
Containment chambers are to be cleansed in fire in excess of 300o Celsius heat.**
SCP-4428 refers to a folding knife with no markings indicating its origin.
SCP-4428-1 refers to any devices, substances, or entities affected by the anomalous qualities of SCP-4428.
SCP-4428-2 refers to [DATA EXPUNGED].
The handle, pins, and lever of SCP-4428 are crafted from stained and oak wood carbon-dated to originate from the mid 1950’s, and stainless steel of the common variety. They make a length of 10cm. These components have demonstrated the ability to force SCP-4428 into dormancy. How this is possible is unknown.
The blade attachment of SCP-4428 is made from a unique alloy. It is 10cm long, and its makeup is estimated to include 37% carbon steel, 40% aluminium, 10.3% molybdenum, and 2.7% rhenium. Standard analysis procedures for the blade are impossible with modern equipment, however chemical analysis has proven useful. Trace amounts of genetic composite within the blade have in this manner been detected. The organic components are embedded within the alloy itself and are not as first believed, remnants of SCP-4428’s past usage as a weapon. Upon further inspection, the genetic composite has been conjectured to originate from the Italian Peninsula, dating back to the end of the first century a.d.
Addendum 1: Dr. Weither's Hypothesis.
Dr. Weither expresses belief that the genetic composite can be linked to a late ███████ whose existence in unconfirmed. His efforts to provide evidence for his hypothesis have proven uneventful until SCP-4428 accident report #2, after which all research into this this matter has been indefinitely postponed.
Active State: SCP-4428 will be considered active when its blade is pulled open from its handle 6 degrees from its closed position, where the tip of the blade is first exposed. When active, SCP-4428 manifests an invisible and intangible extension of the blade via, what in its dormant state, Dr. Weither describes as an “electro-ethereal aura”. When active, SCP-4428 first manifests this blade extension with a reach of 0.8cm away from the true edge of the blade. When used, SCP-4428-1's ethereal edge can sever existing electrical pathways, thus preventing electrical conductivity. How this is achieved is unknown.
Any object or substance so damaged by SCP-4428 will be confiscated as an instance of SCP-4428-1.
All "ethereal damage" (as named by Dr. Weither) in instances of SCP-4428-1 will persist for as long an electric current is attempting to pass through them. This damage is undone when an inorganic instance of SCP-4428-1 is removed from its electric current. Normal processes will continue after an inorganic instance of SCP-4428-1 is exposed to electric current again. Organic instances of SCP-4428-1. have proven impossible to return to a normal state after being exposed to SCP-4428. Why is unknown.
SCP-4428's "ethereal edge" (again, coined by Dr. Weither) begins to grow slowly in size when active. This is believed to be achieved by cutting the flow of static electricity in the air. The ethereal edge gains an average 1.3 cm of reach every hour. When the ethereal edge is used to sever stronger electrical pathways, the rate of growth it experiences increases during the next hour, proportional to the strength of the electrical currents it damaged.
There is no known method of reversing the ethereal damage that SCP-4428 demonstrates on organic matter. Any physical cuts made with the actual blade of SCP-4428 are inconsequential to the damage it can cause otherwise, though it should not be forgotten that it is quite sharp. It is a knife.
Dormant State: SCP-4428 in its dormant state emits a muted and less clearly aimed effect, though similar to its active anomalous qualities. Handling SCP-4428 in one’s bare hands causes numbness and paralysis where touched to it. See the original retrieval log for further details on the severity of allowing this to happen without precautionary measures. This effect reaches out in all directions from SCP-4428 with a reach of .2cm, and has been dubbed as a “dormant electro-ethereal aura” by Dr. Weither. This aura's effects have proven temporary given the passage of time, even in organic matter. Repeated tests indicate an average 6 minutes for the effects to fade. The length of exposure to SCP-4428's dormant effects does not appear to correlate to recovery time, being consistently within 5-6 minutes. Being temporary, Dr. ███████ has prevented any extra instances of SCP-4428-1 from being recognized, confiscated, and archived in foundation records.
Attempts to create digital video and photo recordings of SCP-4428 have been numerous, but have only ever produced static interference where the object should appear in the image files. Why is unknown.
Chemical photography has proven successful. Audio recordings of SCP-4428's tests produce no unusual results.

1 Subject D-7709 failed to predict the secondary and more dangerous anomalous effects of SCP-4428 and cut the electrical pathways in his thumb, severing all ability in it to receive motor signals, when it was opened.
2 Subject D-7709, underwent a test to determine how long he could hold SCP-4428 without protective handling equipment. SCP-4428 was immediately dropped when picked up and struck the ground, prying open the blade and resulting in several instances of SCP-4428-1 being created on Subject D-7709's body and head, as the ethereal edge quickly grew in length and size before the knife rested motionless on the ground. Subject D-7709 was believed dead at the time, but medical staff later reported [DATA EXPUNGED]. Subject D-7709 was reclassified as SCP-4428-2.
SCP-4428-2 was extracted and stored for future testing.
Under orders of level 3 personnel, intentionally repeating or conspiring to create duplicate instances of SCP-4428-2 will be punishable by voluntary testing with a random anomaly, in which a random anomaly will volunteer to test with the offenders.
SCP-4428 was discovered October 16th, 1970 among the belongings of ██████ █████,a deceased American man of German decent. SCP-4428 is the only article in his belongings determined to be anomalous. It was first observed as exhibiting unusual behavior by █████ █████████, who inherited the object, and made knowledge of it publicly available when listing in his medical records, ab unusual allergic reaction to his grandfather's knife.
Grade 1 amnestics were administered to all non-foundation staff aware of SCP-4428, SCP-4428 and its owner were confiscated and moved to testing site-55.

Item #: SCP-4880
Object Class: Euclid
Further Classification:
SCP-4880 is not currently registered as a Nausicaa class threat, however due to the dangers involved in Nausicaa class threats and the indications that SCP-4880 may qualify as one, it is tentatively recognized as one. As such, containment protocols should reflect those dangers. SCP-4880 will be upgraded to a Keter class containment risk upon reasonable confirmation of a Nasuicaa class threat status. In the event of confirmation, all testing with SCP-4880-2 and SCP-4880-3 will be suspended until two Level-5 personnel permit a change of these orders. Also in the event of confirmation, Dr. Wheelhouse will be terminated and SCP-4880-1 will be relocated to Area 109.
Special Containment Procedures: All instances of SCP-4880-1 are contained in redundant Nausicaa class Cognitohazard vaults. Until SCP-4880 is confirmed not to be a Nausicaa class Cognitohazard, all instances of SCP-4880-2 and SCP-4880-3 are to be contained under identical conditions, separate from SCP-4880-1, or destroyed.
- Instances 1-A through 1-D of SCP-4880, hereafter referred to collectively as SCP-4880-1, are currently contained in the High-Security Wing of Site 108 (West-Asiatic, Research and Containment site 108), South Block, Alpha Cell. The locations and activity statuses of instances 1-E through 1-H are unknown.
- Instances 2-A through 2-J, hereafter referred to collectively as SCP-4880-2 are contained in the North Block of the same wing. Instance 2-K is contained in Document-4880-A.
- Instances 3-A, 3-B, and 3-C are contained in the Alpha Cell, Beta Cell, and Gamma Cell respectively of the East Block of the same wing.
- Instances of SCP-4880-4 are contained in Area 109. See Incident-Report-4880-1 for a full detail of the procedures and equipment used to subdue them. Section nineteen contains a summary of the equipment currently in use, and Indicient-Report-4880-2 may be referenced for further reading on methods of containment.
All digital data files concerning SCP-4880 is to be kept on their own servers with copies regularly made. Previous copies are to be replaced and incinerated weekly. Servers and all hard copy data documents, including Document-4880-A and Document-4880-B, are to be contained under identical conditions to those of SCP-4880-2's containment, in the West Block of the High-Security Wing of Site 108.
Hand signals and sign language is the primary mode of communication used by members of SCP-4880's research team and security detail. All researchers and security members when in the South Block and North Block of the High-Security Wing at Site 108, are to be blindfolded for their safety and issued both seeing eye dogs and canes.
Description:
- SCP-4880-1 refers to the stones discovered in Area 109, individually identified as 1-A through 1-D. Instances 1-E through H speculated to exist within Area 109.
- SCP-4880-2 refers to secondary objects that have copied or recorded a visual representation of SCP-4880.
- SCP-4880-3 refers to language capable biological entities which have visually observed SCP-4880 to its full effect.
- SCP-4880-4 refers to the ███████ like entities detailed in Incident-Report-4880-1.
SCP-4880
SCP-4880 is the word "worm" spelled in an unknown or indeterminate cryptography. An anomalous script, the characters appear different to different observers. Ethnic heritage seems to play a part in how they are observed. The most common description states they are styled on the Germanic alphabet circa 1350, either as middle high Germanic or new high Germanic. The script is often determined not to correlate to any known ancient or modern language. In these cases, they always appear the same as three unknown characters. The combined meaning of the three characters that spell SCP-4880 is inferred through their anomalous effects when observed. SCP-4880 is always interpreted as meaning "WORM" (always capitalized), regardless of what language it appears as to its observer.
SCP-4880 was first discovered appearing on a set of four large stones recovered from a subterranean cavern in China's province of Qinghai. See Addendum: Discovery & Retrieval for further details on their origins. How, why, and by whom SCP-4880 was placed onto SCP-4880-1 is unknown.
NOTE
Subjects exposed to SCP-4880 will be subjected to Test-Grade amnestics. If amnestic treatment fails to prevent either of the final stages of SCP-4880's anomalous effects, subjects will be contained as instances of SCP-4880-3. See Amnestics-Report-4880-1 for a list of approved amnestics which have failed to prevent or halt progression of SCP-4880's anomalous effects. See Amnestics-Report-4880-2 for a list of declassified Test-Grade amnestics that have failed to do the same.
SCP-4880-1
SCP-4880-1 are a set of four large glowing stones of various sizes and mineral makeup. Each is covered in instances of SCP-4880, appearing as carvings in the stone. Any direct visual observation of SCP-4880-1 will result in observation of SCP-4880. Each instance of SCP-4880-1 is roughly cubical in its dimensions, though some more and some less so. It is surmised that SCP-4880-1 were constructed with more decorative designs and shapes, worn down with the passage of time and elemental exposure.
While SCP-4880-1 normally appear blind to their surrounds, and often docile, a strong correlation between observation of SCP-4880-1 and their paths of movement has been noted. SCP-4880-1 are self propelled via unknown methods, and have shown evidence of sentient behavior, positioning themselves so as to viewed by subjects and researchers with apparent intent. Though they move slowly, are slow to action, and are not evidently clever if accusations of their sentience are true, SCP-4880-1 are considered extremely dangerous. Various recording devices, analytical equipment, subjects, and personnel, are frequently made victim to SCP-4880-1 attacks, usually by being dropped on. They have also occasionally crushed such elements using slow analog locomotion, pushing them against the walls of their containment vault or other instances of SCP-4880-1.
SCP-4880-1 will frequently cause destruction, injury, and death even to blind apparatuses and blinded personnel exposed to them. Such violent acts are presumed coincidental at this time, as this destructive behavior intermittently extends to the walls and floors of their containment vault, despite that SCP-4880-1 appears to explore the rooms and halls of their vault obsessively. This pattern of behavior, when taken advantage of, can significantly reduce the number and likelyhood of destructive acts performed by SCP-4480-1. Under the orders of Senior Security & Research Consultant █████, the internal barriers inside SCP-4880-1's vault are to be reoriented weekly to reduce casualties and equipment loss.
SCP-4880-1 are believed either to be slowly awakening to their sentience and anomalous qualities due to separation from Area 109, manifesting these traits through the transferred intelligence of SCP-4880-4, or evolving new anomalous qualities as needed on their own in order to return to Area 109. See Incident-Report-4880-3, 4, 5, 6, and 7 for evidence of these positions. Current consensus, proposed by Dr. Wheelhouse, states the second option.
SCP-4880-2
When transcribed onto an inanimate object as it appears to its observer, SCP-4880 creates new instances of SCP-4880-2. Any computer, camera, piece of paper, or photo, even in data or memory, begins to experience a corruption of information. After recording SCP-4880, instances of SCP-4880-2 will over a period of time (with a recorded maximum of five hours), have all words they depict in physical or coded language, replaced with SCP-4880. If SCP-4880 is written on a paper, all other words on the paper will eventually become corrupted with the anomalous effect. If an image of SCP-4880 is captured digitally, any device which holds it will have all coding language replaced with a repetition of SCP-4880.
Every new instance of SCP-4880 as it appears on instances of SCP-4880-2 is capable of creating instances of SCP-4880-3 in the same way SCP-4880-1 are.
Transcribing the word "worm" without referencing SCP-4880 in real time, does not produce new instances of SCP-4880-2, even when done so by SCP-4880-3.
SCP-4880-3
When language capable biological subjects are exposed to SCP-4880, they will over a period of time averaging close to ten hours, experience the same corruption of information that instances of SCP-4880-2 do. All words spoken, written, heard, and read by subjects will gradually be interpreted as SCP-4880. This process begins first with words which phonetically resemble SCP-4880 as it is interpreted by the subject.
Eight hours after exposure to SCP-4880, subjects will be unable to prevent themselves from loudly speaking the word "WORM." Restraints will be issued to subjects before this development manifests itself, unless orders by Dr. Wheelhouse should contradict this precaution.
Ten hours after exposure, subjects will be primed to undergo a physical transformation. Subjects experience this tertiary effect after they or anyone within their earshot speak the word "WORM", or when the subject reads it. Subjects will upon this activation key, transform into a seemingly random species of WORM (tape, earth, ring, etc.). This transformation is instantaneous, and occurs as immediately as the WORM "WORM" is spoken. Once transformed, instances of SCP-4880-3 have the expected intelligence and behavioral patterns of the species of WORM they transformed into.
NOTE:
The suspicion of SCP-4880's Nausicaa class abilities have prompted a Level-5 directive to ban Dr. Wheelhouse from continuing any and all testing involving the introduction of linguistics to SCP-4880-1 and SCP-4880-2. The physical anomalies of SCP-4880-1 are now the primary focus of research.
SCP-4880-4
See Incident-Report-4880-1 for a full description of appearance and threats posed by SCP-4880-4.
Addendum: Discovery & Retrieval.
Foundation investigators were dispensed to the Qinghai province of China after rumors of a secluded population of abnormally long lived humans surfaced in 2005 in neighboring regions. These rumors were determined to originate from █████████ █████ (deceased). The rumors conjectured the existence of a small village (geographical coordinates ██-██-██) of snake worshipers, the residents of which lived forever in perfect health. The village, named Shé Guāng Róng Dòng Xué (蛇光榮洞穴), translating as Snake Glorious Cave and designated by the Foundation as Area 4880 was located near the ███████ ███████ in a previously unexplored cavern. Following its discovery, C-Grade amnestics WORM administered to the nearby region through cloud seeding, causing flash-flooding. Widespread trauma and loss of life halted further spread of the rumor, though memetic monitoring is continuing in the region.
March 30th, 2005
0700: The exploration team enters the cavern system.
0800: After traveling and mapping a distance of ██ kilometers, the exploration team enters a large schism in the earth, open to the sky. Inside is Area 109.
0800-0900: Logs are made noting the scenery and inhabitants of Area 109. The chasm, illuminated with, where through a canopy of thickly woven vines and ancient dead roots above, holes which seemed to have been made roughly by breaking the growth to let sunlight through. Infrastructure, brick, stone, and vine, observed. No signs of sentient life observed.
0930: The investigation team discovers all instances of SCP-4880-4 kneeling upright on the ground, facing towards the mouth of a further expanse of tunnels to the North, praying aloud in an unknown language. They appear to be of Asian decent, and are completely naked.
0935: SCP-4880-3-A, formerly Agent Namine, establishes contact with SCP-4880-4. SCP-4880-4 are familiar with the mandarin language.
1000: SCP-4880-3-A makes detailed reports of SCP-4880-4's lack of concern over the Foundation's intrusion. SCP-4880-4 is atypically cooperative, claiming that visitors WORM both "rare and inconsequential".
1030: Questioned about their supposed longevity, SCP-4880-4 responds only with vague answers.
1040: The exploration team is joined by the investigation team.
1200: The investigation team reports that although SCP-4880-4 are old, they are human and appear to age normally. Why initial genetic testing did not confirm otherwise, and why it does not prove contrary to the first test results even now, is unknown.
1300: The exploration team begins mapping the tunnels where SCP-4880-4 WORM discovered.
2200: No anomalous qualities aside from their docile behavior, despite the investigation team rigorously testing the rumors of their health and immortality, are reported.
2350: SCP-4880-1-B is discovered.
2356: SCP-4880-1-D is discovered.
March 31st, 2005
0020: SCP-4880-1-A is discovered.
0040: Discovery is SCP-4880-1-B and D reported to Agent Namine.

The access tunnels to Area 109, designated Demolition-Site-102077, were destroyed with controlled detonations to prevent future trespass. The area surrounding Area 109's canopy has been cordoned off under the guise of a nature preserve, with chain link fences and regularly patrolling guards disguised as poacher hunters surrounding the area four kilometers away.
Further investigation and research into Area 109 is currently impossible due to the presence of SCP-4880-4. Retrieval of instances of SCP-4880-4 is currently un-availed with the presence of Level-5 artillery and incendiary weaponry, however their presence has kept SCP-4880-4 relatively restrained, and acts of aggression by SCP-4880-4 are now few and seldom. They currently spend virtually all of their time praying, only attacking Foundation personnel seemingly to make sure they are still there. Hostility towards foundation personnel attempting to re-establish communications with SCP-4880-4 is immediate and certain, and no longer advised.
Addendum: SCP-4880-1's anomalous qualities.
- SCP-4880-1 are capable of propulsion through unknown means to slowly reorient their positions. Testing has shown them incapable of climbing inclines over 10o and steps.
- Physical contact reveals that although SCP-4880 appears to be carved into the body of SCP-4880-1, there are no carvings present. The surfaces of SCP-4880-1 have been described as being "impossible", "perfectly smooth", "not hard enough", and "somehow soft". Physical contact causes unsettling feelings in the subject. Subjects also report that SCP-4880-1 are also upset by being touched.
- SCP-4880-1 are capable of extremely faster propulsion at unpredictable intervals, but do not use this momentum in an attempt to break through their confines. SCP-4880-1 are capable of teleporting short distances through open spaces and thin barricades.
- Despite their vivid radiance, SCP-4880-1 are only mildly radioactive, expelling one third the normal background radiation of their surroundings. Exposure to extreme levels of directed radioactivity or bursts of radioactivity does not change the objects WORM radioactive signature, however raising the radioactive levels of their environment will result in the objects increasing their intensity to one third the background levels. The qualities of SCP-4880-1's radioactive nature are unknown and test results are inconsistent, possibly due to background interference. This anomalous quality WORM undetected for a significant time due to the clean quarantine conditions in which the objects are held. See Testing-Log-4880-25 for further information.
Addendum: SCP-4880-1's Suspected Evolutions.
- Development of auto-mobility.
- Development of teleportation ability.
- Digital viewing feeds of SCP-4880-1 become corrupted. Translation of computer coding into instances of SCP-4880. Scenario RUBY.Ω10 is enacted. Linguistic testing is prohibited.
- Generation of low-pitch tones, simulating the unknown language spoken by SCP-4880-4. Audio recording equipment is removed from SCP-4880-1's vault. Researchers and subjects are warned not to speak in the presence of SCP-4880-1.
- Instances of SCP-4880 enter the mind of SCP-4880-3-EO, formerly Agent Faraway. All testing with SCP-4880-1 is now WORM through blind robotics.
Addendum: SCP-4880-3's anomalous qualities.
- Genetic testing indicates all instances of SCP-4880-3 are human.
Addendum: SCP-4880-4's anomalous qualities.
- Extreme regenerative healing.
- Immunity to the effects of gravity.
- Self propelled flight.
- Immunity to weaponized radiation.
- Extreme resistance to physical trauma.
- Extreme resistance to heat trauma.
- Moderate resistance to electrical trauma.
- Moderate resistance to acid trauma.
- Expulsion of extreme flame.
It is evident that SCP-4880-4 owe their considerable strength and resistance to WORM sustained, both to their size and their unnatural structure. Their ability to breath fire, fly, their claws and scales would seem to indicate an obvious conclusion of their nature, by I am not unsure that SCP-4880-4's origins are anything other than human. Exposed to SCP-4880, any WORM of us would eventually become a WORM, low, earthly, and unimportant, exemplifying our "unworthiness" of knowing it. Item #: SCP-4880
Object Class: Euclid
Senior Researcher: Dr. Nord Dr. Wheelhouse.
Further Classification:
As of Incident-Report-4880-5, resulting in the death or other loss of seventeen research and security personnel including Dr. Nord, SCP-4880 is on special watch to be reclassified as Keter. Blame for the incident has been assigned to negligence on the part of Dr. Nord and his lax standards of containment during testing. Dr. Wheelhouse has assumed priority control over SCP-4880's ongoing research and containment.
Although SCP-4880 is not currently registered as a Nausicaa class threat, due to the dangers involved in Nausicaa class threats and the indications that SCP-4880 may qualify as one, it is tentatively recognized as one. As such, containment protocols have been changed to reflect those dangers. SCP-4880 will be upgraded to a Keter class containment risk upon reasonable confirmation of a Nasuicaa class threat status. In the event of confirmation, all testing with SCP-4880-2 and SCP-4880-3 will be suspended until two Level-5 personnel permit a change of these orders, and SCP-4880-1 will be relocated to Area 109. Also in the event of confirmation, Dr. Wheelhouse will be terminated for her part in SCP-4880's ongoing Euclid containment classification.
Special Containment Procedures:
Archived: Intra-Legal Court Case 559301/Posthumous Demotion/Dr. Nord/Excerpt.
SCP-4880-1 is to be contained in a standard windowless cell in the Linguistics Research Department on Site 95. Visual contact with SCP-4880-1 is to be made under no circumstances outside of testing approved by Dr. Nord. Permissions to test with SCP-4880 will be granted through Form JJ4.0/LO, signed OR STAMPED by Dr. Nord.
Dr. Nord's rubber signature stamp was confiscated as evidence for his court-martial after it was found embedded in the walls of SCP-4880-1's former containment cell.
The breech of security policy described above resulted in Incident-Report-4880-3. It should be noted that SCP-4880-1's mobility is not yet proven to an evolved anomalous quality. Regardless, Dr. Nord's failure to place SCP-4880-1 in more secure holding contributed to his ultimate fate with the Foundation.
All instances of SCP-4880-1 are currently contained in redundant Nausicaa class Cognitohazard vaults.
SCP-4880-1 are self propelled via unknown methods, and have shown evidence of sentient behavior, positioning themselves so as to viewed by subjects and researchers with apparent intent. While SCP-4880-1 normally appear blind to their surrounds, and often docile, a strong correlation between observation of SCP-4880-1 and their paths of movement has been noted. Though they move slowly, are slow to action, and are not evidently clever if accusations of their sentience are true, SCP-4880-1 are considered extremely dangerous. Various recording devices, analytical equipment, subjects, and research personnel, are frequently made victim to attempted attacks, usually by being dropped on. They have also occasionally crushed such elements using slow analog locomotion, pushing them against the walls of their containment vault or other instances of SCP-4880-1. This behavior has been more common recently, and was at first rarely observed, even after Dr. Nord's death. See Incident-Report-4880-3 for a full description of SCP-4880-1's mobility, and the destructive ability it they pose to infrastructure and the human body.
Even though SCP-4880-1 will frequently cause destruction, injury, and death even to blind apparatuses and blinded personnel exposed to them, at the behest of Dr.Wheelhouse, such violent acts are presumed coincidental at this time.
This destructive behavior intermittently extends to the walls and floors of their containment vault. Despite that SCP-4880-1 appears to explore the rooms and halls of their vault obsessively, this pattern of destructive behavior would seem to be in opposition to its exploratory nature. I do not believe that SCP-4880-1 move with any predictable, and therefore sentient, pattern, however when taken advantage of, their erratic movement can be taken advantage of to significantly reduce the number and likelyhood of destructive acts performed. -Dr. Wheelhouse.
Under the orders of Senior Security & Research Consultant █████, the internal barriers inside SCP-4880-1's vault are to be reoriented weekly to reduce casualties and equipment loss.
Argument over SCP-4880-1's nature was once common among junior research staff. They are believed either to be slowly awakening to their sentience and anomalous qualities due to separation from Area 109, manifesting these traits through the transferred intelligence of SCP-4880-4, or evolving new anomalous qualities as needed on their own in order to return to Area 109. See Incident-Report-4880-3, 4, 5, 6, and 7 for evidence of these positions. Current consensus, proposed by Dr. Wheelhouse, states the second option. Incident 4880-7 has provided both strong evidence to it, and several openings in Dr. Wheelhouse's under-study program. Current consensus unanimously agrees with Dr. Wheelhouse's proposal.
To date, 105 tests have been performed to confirm this pattern of behavior. Accidental exposure to SCP-4880, has occurred 20 times. Dr. Wheelhouse has assured Senior Security & Research Consultant █████ that she will not be losing any more junior researchers to these accidents.
Note:
Dr. Wheelhouse has been but under stricter watch following complaints about her behavior, citing "paranoia, malicious tendencies, recklessness, and homicidal coincidences to her favor."
SCP-4880-4
See Incident-Report-4880-1 for a full description of appearance and threats posed by SCP-4880-4.
Addendum: Discovery & Retrieval.
Dr. Nord was dispensed to the Qinghai province of China after rumors of a secluded population of abnormally long lived humans surfaced in 2005 in neighboring regions.

Dr. Nord's proposal to re-categorize SCP-4880 as an alphabetical anomaly rather than a linguistic one has been denied, as whether or not other characters exist in SCP-4880's hypothetical alphabet is not WORM, WORM what dangers they might pose.

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-001 is contained in Humanoid Containment Suite-C16 on Site-02. SCP-001 may not be removed from its confinement without unanimous consent of the 05 council. The enormity of SCP-001's proposed influence on this iteration of reality, have necessitated extreme prejudice in its containment, specifically regarding interactions between SCP-001 and Foundation personnel. All following containment procedures are required to maintain the health and cooperation of SCP-001, and to prevent information leaks. SCP-001 poses little threat in any physical capacity.
SCP-001's containment has been modified with two redundant climate control systems. The first is an Anthermal® refrigeration unit, model #200, set to -50oC as a standard precaution. During attempts to sabotage to its containment, neutralization procedures will commence with both systems being set to -150oC. This shall decrease by one degree centigrade every five seconds until SCP-001 cooperates with the terms of its containment. Information regarding the nature of Suite-C16's second climate control system is restricted. Requests to perform maintenance on this system, or to be briefed on its nature, must be approved by both Council members 05-2 and 05-5.
Communication with SCP-001 is restricted without an ongoing or proxy 05-Directive. Only Dr. Gueller and Dr. Mara have ongoing access to SCP-001, but they may assign access rights by proxy as needed. Suite-C16 must be visually monitored at all times to ensure SCP-001's cooperation. Due to the extreme temperatures within its containment, the cameras monitoring SCP-001 are prone to accumulating frost damage and rime deposits, necessitating regular maintenance. As the nature of SCP-001 and the information it carries are classified at the highest level, such maintenance should be performed remotely whenever possible. In the event that SCP-001 interferes with these operations (refer to Incident Report 001/2), live personnel may be permitted to undergo the task. Any maintenance personnel with clearance below Level-5 interacting with SCP-001 or its containment cell, are to be equipped with trauma-resistant insulation suits, and complete audio-deprivation gear. The latter equipment is required to prevent unauthorized access to classified information known by SCP-001, as it is both eager to and insistent on revealing it.
Addendum 001.1: Dr. Veula's Standing Orders.
Any and all clearance Level-5 personnel are permitted to speak with SCP-001 at their leisure, but must log each conversation as an official interview. To reduce the strain on Level-5 resources, any Level-4 personnel being considered for clearance upgrades, by the recommendation of both Dr. Hod Dr. Gueller and Dr. Veula Dr. Mara, may speak with SCP-001 if escorted, or take part in its monitoring.
SCP-001 is to be treated as a serious casualty risk. It has disemboweled research personnel in the past and should be considered capable or repeating the action. In the event of SCP-001 causing injury or death to personnel, Security Protocol 001/A should be considered. If enacted, Suite-C16 is to be rapidly cooled as near to -273oC as possible, eliminating the possibility of SCP-001 from acquiring bodily heat from its victim. This protocol has seen SCP-001 return to cooperative behavior when used, however, use of this protocol is discouraged, as extreme cooling procedures have a positive correlation with SCP-001's declining mental health.
Addendum 001.2: Amenities.
To encourage SCP-001's mental health, and subsequent cooperation (chiefly in research inquiries), it is permitted a degree of concession in what amenities it may request. The following are lists of previously approved items that SCP-001 requests with some regularity and may be given at any time, and notable requests.
Pre-Approved Requests
- A hot beverage (Not exceeding 30oC or 5oz in portion.)
- A hot meal (Not exceeding 30oC or 200g in portion.)
- A single book (Previous book is to be confiscated.)
History of Notable Approved Requests
- "Someone to talk to.": Granted
Accommodation coincides with Foundation efforts to maintain and research SCP-001. Dr. Veula is assigned as SCP-001's psychiatric caretaker.
- "A quieter room.": Denied Granted
Removing the source of the "god damned hum" places substantial risk in security. Accommodation necessary for repairs and improvements in SCP-001's containment.
- "Someone else to talk to.": Granted Provisionally
Accommodation does not put SCP-001, its containment, or personnel at risk, nor do provisions risk information leak. Clearance Level-5 personnel are reminded by monthly newsletter that they may volunteer to converse with SCP-001, and are encouraged to do so. Reminders will be executed in person by SCP-001's psychiatric caretaker.
- Confiscated object #12,089: Denied Granted Provisionally
Significant security risk. Request is granted on the provision that the object is returned to SCP-001, sealed in a solid 0.7m x 0.7m x 2.1m block of high-impact resistant clear polymer resin. SCP-001's demeanor is improved and it begins taking a more active part in cooperative research efforts.
- An accordion or similar musical instrument: Granted
No risk. A small plastic toy accordion was provided. SCP-001's demeanor is markedly improved despite the low quality of the instrument. Behavioral incidents have not occurred since.
History of Notable Denied Requests.
- "Some damn privacy": Denied
Significant security risk. SCP-001 in under the impression this request was granted, and that it would not be monitored during the hours of 12am and 2am Monday and Tuesday mornings. Personnel assigned to monitor Suite-C16 during these hours should be forewarned; SCP-001 has since been infrequently observed attempting to ██████████ during these hours.
Description: SCP-001 is a Caucasian human male of mixed northern European ancestry. SCP-001 has modified its body with invasive cybernetic enhancements, and subjected itself to extreme genetic mutation, resulting in the ability to survive and thrive in lethally low-temperature environments. This ability extends even into temperatures which, in laboratory conditions, hinder all forms of chemical and kinetic energy. When "frozen", all entropic forces and chemical decay in SCP-001's body appear arrested, despite its continued ability to utilize select cerebral and bodily mechanisms. How SCP-001 is able to move when "frozen" and maintain cognitive functions without detectable brain waves, is unknown. When SCP-001's body is frozen, it benefits from extreme resilience to physical trauma, however its flesh remains pliable and permits a full range of motion. SCP-001 has been either unable or unwilling to detail the specifics processes that accomplished this.
Early DNA analysis has proved that SCP-001's genome is severely damaged. Exposure to temperatures exceeding 0oC increases SCP-001's genetic decomposition, causing both physical and mental anguish to it. This damage can be partially reversed by immersing SCP-001 to a long cooling period. Although the healing it experiences sees diminishing returns over time, SCP-001 has noted that "infinite time grants infinite healing", claiming to have "eventually survived" both supernovas and black holes. As of Research-Directive-001/05/B, SCP-001 is to remain in its frozen state at all times.
When frozen, SCP-001 requires no use of its involuntary systems. This includes and is not limited to, its respiratory, circulatory, digestive, somniatic, and metabolic system (despite SCP-001's frequent requests for hot meals and beverages). SCP-001's nervous system appears similarly defunct, yet SCP-001 still achieves cerebral and motor autonomy. Frozen or thawed, SCP-001 does not age. Appearing to be in its early forties, SCP-001's actual age is indeterminable and hypothetically infinite according to the Foundation's current understanding of space-time physics.
SCP-001's left arm and leg (having been lost in the Napoleonic wars), as well as a portion of its upper torso extending into its heart, have been surgically altered with robotic replacements. Most of these enhancements are designed to appear of modern make for the year of its discovery, constructed using materials commonly available in the early 19th century of Germany, yet use electrical wiring and advanced mechanics not yet devised in that time.
The portions which extend into SCP-001's heart are composed primarily of common synthetic polymers unknown at the time, and appear to power the arm and leg, though through entirely unknown means. The device inside of SCP-001's heart normally gives off no energy signature and makes no sound, appearing inactive until exposed to temperatures above 0oC. After activation, a faint green energy pulse will emanate from the device, and SCP-001's chest, every sixty seconds. SCP-001 claims this pulse is a mapping operation akin to echo-location, with the purpose of identifying quantum fluctuations in the universe. The pulse moves slowly at first, crossing a distance of one meter in one second. Its speed however, raises exponentially at the same rate its opacity decreases. It becoming visually undetectable after three seconds and twenty meters. Analysis of the pulse registers unknown radiation. So far, attempts to quantify and further analyze this radiation, have been inconclusive.
SCP-001 claims the pulse accelerates until it hits the edge of the universe and bounces off of it. The return signal, which has yet to be detected by Foundation resources, supposedly indicates that this iteration of reality is SCP-001's original universe. Recommended further reading: "Interview with the Universe", officially documented as Cosmology Report 2711 sections S.04 through T.38.
SCP-001 is tentatively believed to be at least partially responsible for a number of anomalies discovered by the Foundation, as it has demonstrated partial, substantially valuable, and incorrect knowledge of hundreds of anomalous objects, both already contained by the Foundation and unknown to it. According to its own testimony, SCP-001 is responsible for the corruption and degradation of reality, which has resulted in numerous anomalies existing. SCP-001 states that it has "survived in immortality" to a point that is has traveled forward through time into, and past, the [Heat Death of the universe], into the next big bang. SCP-001 has supposedly repeated this process ad infinitum, living through uncountable iterations of reality and the universe vastly different and similar from our own, until reaching our own. This "Big Bang" responsible for the creation of this universe is supposedly a duplicate of the one that created SCP-001's original universe, realized through the detection of that big bang's [quantum fluctuation] signature.
There is very little evidence to support SCP-001's claims and equally little to disprove it. Under direct order of the 05 Council, SCP-001 and all information regarding its claims, are to be quarantined under Access Restriction: Alpha-Alpha-001.
SCP-001 refers to itself as ███████ ████████, born in Finland 12/24/2304, a junior director level employee of a company called "Clear Global", supposedly an affiliate of the SCP Foundation established in the "Federated Scandinavian Alliance". Efforts to confirm SCP-001's claim have been indefinitely postponed, as it is low interest data, and any attempts to do so would pose substantial risk to temporal continuity. SCP-001 frequently refuses to cooperate with any personnel who refer to it as "001" and will not consign to that designation. See Incident-Report-001/1 and 2 for a further details on current safety suggestions when interviewing with SCP-001.
Discovery & Retrieval:
SCP-001 was discovered living on a river shuttle in Kárášjohka Norway, 25/12/1861. An investigative agent was dispatched to the region after a south Finnish newspaper began circulating an article describing a "Polar Man braving Icy Depths". The article detailed SCP-001's habit of skinny dipping in frozen waters for extended periods. Upon coming into contact with SCP-001 Agent Heraldr was greeted by name, and SCP-001 requested it be brought to the 05 Council immediately to relay "priority Alexandra" information.
Agent Haraldr took SCP-001 into custody without issue, and it went willingly into his custody, relaying classified Foundation information to any and all Foundation personnel it met with during the process. It specifically explained to Agent Heraldr that it instigated the news article written about it to notify the Foundation of its existence, claiming it did so at the time and in the manner it did, to compel belief in what it had to say, as the Foundation would not believe its full tale if it had arrived any earlier. SCP-001's arrival into custody coincided with [DATA EXPUNGED]. All personnel involved in its securing, up to Dr. Hod's first involvement, had their encounters with SCP-001 amnestically removed from their memory. All preliminary reports made were confiscated, and interviews with SCP-001 began shortly after.
Note:
The Foundation at this time operates without a priority Alexandra protocol, and has never had one in its history. Considerations for the addition of "Alexandra" to security contingencies were denied.
Notable Interview Logs
Interviewed: SCP-001
Interviewer: Dr. Hod
Foreword: Interview took place in a standard interview room.
<Begin Log, 31/1/1861>
Dr. Hod: My name is Dr. Hod, I've been assigned to your case. I'm told you're already familiar with me?
SCP-001: Yes. Edward Hod, Level-5 Researcher for the SCP Foundation. I know a lot about you, and I know a lot about the Foundation. I have information you need.
Dr. Hod: What do you know?
SCP-001: How to save the world.
Dr. Hod: And how do you know this thing?
SCP-001: Experience.
Dr. Hod: Have you come into contact with the Foundation before?
SCP-001: In a way. Different iterations… different times. Different lifetimes.
Dr. Hod: Iterations? Do you mean you've met me- or someone claiming to be me before?
SCP-001: If you want to pretend you haven't read the preliminary reports, I won't stop you, but time is pressing.
Dr. Hod: I have read the reports.
SCP-001: Oh. That's new.
Dr. Hod: That I've read the reports?
SCP-001: That you admitted to it. It's never happened before. Of course it's only been you a handful thousand times. It's usually Dr. Vexler who interviews me first.
Dr. Hod: I'm afraid I don't know a Dr. Vexler.
SCP-001: She probably wasn't born this time around. You usually aren't.
Dr. Hod: I see… You claim to be a time traveler?
SCP-001: Yes, but I go the long way around.
Dr. Hod: What does that mean?
SCP-001: It means I don't go backwards. Only forwards, just like you do.
Dr. Hod: And you've been doing this for how long?
SCP-001: [Sigh] Longer than time itself. Much longer than that…
SCP-001 begins to tap the table with its finger.
Dr. Hod: I see. You claim to be familiar with the Foundation, and, now me, so I'm sure you can guess what I'm going to ask next?
SCP-001: No. Different universe, different protocol. Different different different.
Dr. Hod: Could you describe your anomalies for me?
SCP-001: You'll be experimenting soon anyway, so why bother? I know that at least.
Dr. Hod: It would help us get a started, and if we knew more about you, it might take less time.
SCP-001: Later.
Dr. Hod: I insist.
SCP-001: Let's say I'm a vampire. You can start there when you're ready. We have something more important to discuss don't we?
Dr. Hod: Would you elaborate on your… travels then?
SCP-001: Please. If this sounds rehearsed, it is. This is… very rehearsed.
Dr. Hod: I'm ready.
SCP-001: My name is ███████ ████████. I am a time traveler, of sorts, and a universe traveler. My rank and authority in C.G. of the F.S.A., that's Clear Global of the Federated Scandinavian Alliance, an affiliate of your SCP Foundation, is Vice Director of operations. I am from the future. Your future.
Dr. Hod: …
SCP-001: That's the first part. Any questions before I continue?
Dr. Hod: No, none yet. Continue.
SCP-001: Time travel to the past, even in my time, will be impossible without creating a hemorrhage in space-time continuity. It's not that it can't be done. There are several objects and people capable of facilitating the need, which you well know, but we deemed them too dangerous to use. So we came up with a plan to travel through time going forward. Cyclical time will have been theorized about for centuries. You should have an idea of it even now. We thought we could use it to our advantage. If our world was doomed to collapse-
Dr. Hod: Doom? Collapse? What do you mean-
SCP-001: SCP-009. The red ice. It's more dangerous than you think. Or it will be.
Dr. Hod: I'm familiar with the designation, but I'm not sure what you're referring to.
SCP-001: Oh, right… You won't be. It won't be discovered for over a century. Your current 009 will be explained and removed from your archives eventually. It'll happen a lot in these early years.
Dr. Hod: If you say so.
SCP-001: Anyway, our world was going to be destroyed. There was no stopping it. So we came up with a way to save the next version of it. That was the plan. To travel to the end of the universe and into the next one, and start over.
Dr. Hod: But what about th-
SCP-001 becomes agitated and raises its voice for the remainder of the interview.
SCP-001: The heat death. Yes we accounted for that. That's what the plan was for. An ordinary time capsule, no matter how indestructible we could think to make it, would never get past the heat death. So we had to create something, or someone…
Dr. Hod: …
SCP-001: …
SCP-001 demonstrates frustration in Dr. Hod's silence. Motioning towards itself.
Dr. Hod: You?
SCP-001: That could survive it. Yes. Me. Do you know what the heat death is Dr. Hod?
Dr. Hod: It's a theoretical-
SCP-001: Not theoretical! No. Its real. I've survived it. Countless times.
Dr. Hod: More than once? But you said time was cyclical. If you knew how to stop SCP-009, why didn't you?
SCP-001: Because time isn't cyclical. We were wrong.
Dr. Hod: So how did you get here, in the past?
SCP-001 becomes frantic.
SCP-001: This isn't the past. This is the impossibly distant future. Let me explain. It's very simple if you just pay attention. If you have read the preliminaries properly, you would know this already.
Dr. Hod: No, I think I've heard enough for today. Let's call it here.
SCP-001: No! You have to listen to me! It's real! I'm real! I've done this too many times already, you will listen to me! I can't wait it out again! I will not let this opportunity fail me after all I've worked for!
Dr. Hod: You're clearly too upset to do this now. We'll continue tomorrow.
SCP-001: No, we have to this now!
<End Log>
Interviewed: SCP-001
Interviewer: Dr. Hod
Forward: Interview took place in a standard interview room.
<Begin Log, 1/2/1861>
Dr. Hod: Good morning SCP-001.
SCP-001: My name is ███████. Are you ready to cooperate?
Dr. Hod: Are you?
SCP-001: Yes.
Dr. Hod: Good. Now continuing where we left off, will you please describe what you believe to be the order of events that led you here?
SCP-001: It's a long story.
Dr. Hod: I have time.
SCP-001: No you don't.
Dr. Hod: Humor me.
SCP-001: You don't. You'll be getting the very, very, abbreviated version.
Dr. Hod: Very well. Please continue.
SCP-001: Time is not cyclical. The universe will end with the death of all heat. Once the it happens, time keeps on moving, but matter stops moving altogether, right?
Dr. Hod: I believe that's the theory, yes.
SCP-001: Wrong. Matter stops moving, except for me. I survive it.
Dr. Hod: You survive the heat death.
SCP-001: Yes, I was designed to. I was made to survive it. According to quantum mechanics… you should have a basic understanding of it if you look into the Foundation's cosmological literature… according to quantum mechanics, there is a non-zero chance of a new universe occuring after the heat death. It might be infinitesimally slim, but there is a chance. All I have to do is wait it out.
Dr. Hod: You… waited? For all that time?
SCP-001 experiences symptoms similar to a brief siezure
SCP-001: Code Blue. Code Blue. Code Blue.
SCP-001's symptoms stop. Its temperament becomes erratic, experiencing interchanging periods of fear and anger.
Dr. Hod: Cancel Code Blue. Cancel Code Blue. Cancel Code Blue. Are you alright 001?
SCP-001: No! I'm not alright! I lived for eons! Eons and epochs, just… e-e-existing in n-n-nothingn-ness and c-c-c-cold! I can't die! I survive. Everything! I d-don't ev-
Dr. Hod: Calm down 001, or I will have to leave again.
SCP-001: I do- how many times have I done this? A thousand? Survived the enitre universe, again an-a-a-a-and a-gain? Some- some████ingwhere there is a n-number so abs-s-s-surd it doesn't even d-d-deserve a real name! But I. Made. It. Back. Here!
Dr. Hod: SCP-001, I am not going to work with you if you will not work with me. I'll see you tomorrow.
SCP-001: [exclamations expunged]]
SCP-001 leaps across the table, and tears open Dr. Hod's abdomen.
SCP-001 bathes in Dr. Hod, loudly comforting itself with the warmth of Dr. Hod's body.
Researchers enter the room and attempt to restrain SCP-001.
Several researchers receive minor injuries. The researchers abandon SCP-001 and Dr. Hod in the interview room.
Security enters. Security removes SCP-001 from Dr. Hod's abdominal cavity.

Note:
Interview Log 002 was duplicated and documented as Incident 001/1. Dr. Muellag replaced Dr. Hod as head researcher of SCP-001.
Interviewed: SCP-001
Interviewer: Dr. Veula
Foreword: Interview took place in a secured interview room with armed security present. SCP-001 is strapped to its chair.
<Begin Log, 2/2/1862>
Dr. Muellag: Do you want to talk about what you did yesterday?
SCP-001: …
Dr. Muellag: It's okay if you don't want to talk, but that will also mean I can't listen to you. That is what you want isn't it? Someone to listen to you.
SCP-001: … Y-… Yeah. Yes.
Dr. Muellag: Good. I'm glad you can admit that.
SCP-001: You d-don't unders-s-s-s-tand. He m-m-made me… he mmmmade me rem-mmmember it again.
Dr. Muellag: Dr. Hod made you remember the, waiting.
SCP-001: The c-c-c-cold… the… the loneliness.
Dr. Muellag: Do you feel lonely now?
SCP-001: Yes.
Dr. Muellag: Why?
SCP-001: …
Dr. Muellag: 001, I'm here to listen. That's all I'm here for now.
SCP-001: The loneliness should have d-d-destroyed m-me. C-c-c-completely destroyed me.
Dr. Muellag: Why didn't it?
SCP-001: I- I think my… c-condition k-kept m-m-more than my body p-p-prot-tected. M-more than f-f-f-f…
Dr Muellag: Frozen?-
SCP-001: Frozen… I think… my- my mind is… in a s-sort of mental s-s-stasis. I c-can't… I can't really f-f-focus. Not on anything, other th-than… my mission. I'm stuck.
Dr. Muellag: How are you stuck?
SCP-001 becomes visually agitated. Dr. Muellag moves to the door.
SCP-001: I'm stuck. My mind j-just keeps on being stuck… in the same place… forever. I can't… ch-ch-change.
Dr. Muellag: You mean to say you're unhappy.
SCP-001: That's my point. I don't change. I can't change. I'm never happy. Not in any meaningful… way. Not for long.
Dr. Muellag: Were you always depressed? Before the experiment that made you?
SCP-001: I can't remember. It was so long ago. I was… w-w-w-… stressed. I was definitely stressed. The w-w-w-world was ending!
SCP-001 begins to raise its voice. Dr Muellag signals security to aim their weapons at SCP-001.
Dr. Muellag: Please calm down 001. We don't want to have to hurt you. Can't you remember anything happy about your youth? Try to think of that. I'm sure you can recall som-
SCP-001 stops speaking and attempts to break out of its bonds, screaming at Dr. Muellag and posted security.
Dr. Meullag: This is over. Get him out of here.
SCP-001: Nothing! I don't remember anything before the-
SCP-001 stops moving entirely.
Dr. Meullag: Wait! Don't move him. Before the what ███████?
SCP-001 remains motionless, and refuses further participation.
Dr. Meullag: ████. I was so close.
<End Log>
Interviewed: SCP-001
Interviewer: Dr. Veula
Foreword: Interview is conducted through a window between Suite-C16 and Interview Room 02-16-C.
<Begin Log, 13/3/1870>
Dr. Veula: How are you doing today ███████?
SCP-001: I'm good today. Thank you for coming to see me.
Dr. Veula: Of course ███████, any time.
SCP-001: Or weekly at any rate. If you're busy.
Dr. Veula: Yes well, I do have more patients than just you, I'm sorry to say.
SCP-001: How is he doing by the way?
Dr. Veula: You know I can't talk about that.
SCP-001 sighs in an exaggerated tone.
SCP-001: What did you want to talk about. You came early, so I guess it's something important?
Dr. Veula: I wanted to talk about how you think you're responsible for the universe. How you think you ruined it.
SCP-001: Oh. I… didn't think you'd ask about that. I mean- I thought Dr. Meullag would.
Dr. Veula: He's tried before, but you never get into details. He thinks the connection we have might help you elaborate. You've never been very clear about that in the past.
SCP-001: I've never… I've never been certain I'm the cause I just think I am.
Dr. Veula: Can you explain?
SCP-001: I can try. There was never exactly… I never had any way of testing or studying it before, but there are indications.
Dr. Veula: How?
SCP-001: I'm… their weren't very many anomalies in my time. In my original time. My universe. The first one… or my first one anyway.
Dr. Veula: Go on.
SCP-001: There were less than a hundred that we knew of. Most of them were just too advanced for us to understand at the time, and were declassified later. I think there were only five real anomalies.
Dr. Veula: But this universe is supposed to be the same as that one, isn't it? How do you explain the discrepancy?
SCP-001: I think that when I'm there… for the next breach, everything else of the last universe gets blown away to make room for the new one. All those particles are so far apart. They're as close to nothing as something can get. But not me. I'm still there. Whole. Dense. Hard.
Dr. Veula: And you think your presence disturbs new universes?
SCP-001: My hypothesis. I think when a new universe explode around me, I leave an imprint of myself in it. I'm somehow, literally I guess, punching a hole in reality, or it's stabbing itself with me, making a hole.
Dr. Veula: Fascinating. It's a interesting concept, but I don't think it holds up entirely.
SCP-001: I'm not done. You see… every universe is imperfect, or unfinished. There are spelling errors in the code. Every iteration is a flawed one, but differently. The flaws manifest differently every time. That's why every universe gets dies. It freezes to death and gets scrapped for a new one to take its place. My universe had five. This one has thousands.
Dr. Veula: So each iteration is more, "flawed" then the one prior?
SCP-001: They shouldn't be. The math doesn't make sense, until you calculate for the whole system. The only real flaw is me. I'm not supposed to be there. I'm the anomaly that's screwing up reality.
Dr. Veula: …
SCP-001: I couldn't see it at first. All the the anomalies- those flaws in reality, were slipping through the holes I made, into the next universe.
Dr. Veula: I don't understand. You're mixing metaphors. Are you saying there's an actual hole in reality?
SCP-001: Not in any sense that human minds can comprehend. Not fully, but yes. What I'm saying is, every universe has its own anomalies, but every time a new one is birthed around me, I'm carrying over old ones. The errors in the code. However its written… let me start over.
Dr. Veula: You're getting more poetic than scientific, but I'll indulge you. I want to understand.
SCP-001: Imagine creation is a stack of papers. Imagine that every universe is a sheet of paper, being stacked one after another, infinitely. In this analogy, I'm a drop of ink. Whatever the fundamental letters are, the script that writes reality, I'm a drop of ink on the page, and I'm bleeding through the pages. The old universes are getting connected to the new ones in a way that was never supposed to happen.
Dr. Veula: I think I get it. It's a lot to take in. I don't think it's plausible though.
SCP-001: You haven't seen it.
Dr. Veula: We'll look into it. Thank you for speaking with me. I'll see you next week.

Psyche Evaluation: Updated 1/1/2018
SCP-001's metal state is elastic, capable of deviations, but rarely deviating far from its default condition, and never for long. SCP-001 has an obsessive personality, bordering on a fixation disorder, as well as advanced depression and an acute post traumatic stress disorder. SCP-001 is bored with its confinement.
SCP-001 requires frequent if not constant stimulation to encourage its mental health and subsequent cooperation. Any prolonged absence of stimulation places a burden on SCP-001's mental health, often resulting in minor violent outbursts. No casualties have resulted from these events, though it should be noted that SCP-001 is capable and willing to perform much more aggressive action when put under more stressful conditions.
Following Incident-001/4, Dr. Mara has placed SCP-001 on suicide watch, and re-issued a Testing-Moratorium-001-1, petitioning for all tests which will knowingly induce high levels of stress in SCP-001 to be banned, citing it as "cruel and unnecessary" and akin to "prodding a stab victim with a sharp stick." Dr. Gueller's own reports concede that SCP-001's anomalous qualities are already well understood. Awaiting new developments in cosmological theory, Dr. Gueller issued Research-Directive-001/154/A to accommodate her suggestion.
SCP-001 is clinically depressed, derives pleasure almost solely from attention, and displays sociopathically amoral and obsessive behavior. It will stop at nothing to complete its agendas. What this man… what SCP-001 experienced goes beyond anything any of us can comprehend. None of us can know what he went through. We can't even prove its possible! I don't think I'll ever be able to help him. Not really. -Dr. Mara
