Jhacker SCP-XXXB (#5)

Object Class: Euclid

Special Containment Procedures: A perimeter extending 2km has been established around the town of Shepparton, Alaska, the area where SCP-XXXB occurred. The perimeter is to be manned by Foundation agents posing as United States government officials. Any unauthorized persons attempting to cross this perimeter are to be turned away, or detained and amnesticised if deemed necessary.

SCP-XXXB-A is currently contained within Site ██, which has been built within Shepparton itself. Due to SCP-XXXB-A's currently immobile nature, Site ██ was established for the sole purpose of containing the entity.

SCP-XXXB-B is currently contained within a standard humanoid containment chamber in Site 19. Due to SCP-XXXB-B's currently ongoing hunger strike, the subject is to be nourished through a feeding tube, and hydrated through an IV drip while the subject is sedated. This procedure is to continue until the point SCP-XXXB-B decides to end its hunger strike.

The whereabouts of SCP-XXXB-C are currently unknown. Locating and containing SCP-XXXB-C is currently a Beta-1 priority. Any personnel who may have information on SCP-XXXB-C are to see Senior Researcher Miley Turpin as soon as possible.

Description: SCP-XXXB refers to Incident-Itialuit-17, an anomalous event that occurred in the town of Shepparton, Alaska on 21/03/2015.

SCP-XXXB-A refers to a large, cetacean-like entity that resembles a common Beluga Whale (Delphinapterus leucas) in both appearance and measurement. Unlike that of Delphinapterus leucas, SCP-XXXB-A posses two arm-like appendages on each side of its body, complete with webbed fingers, that allow SCP-XXXB-A to drag itself along dry land. SCP-XXXB-A's head is similar to that of a human's, but with overly exaggerated features, such as bulging eyes, floppy ears, and eyelashes measuring approximately 2m in length.

SCP-XXXB-A's features and properties closely resemble mythological accounts of the Inuit/Yup'ik deity Agloolik, that allegedly lived below the ice, benefiting fisherman and hunters with good fortune, provided that it first received prayer¹.

SCP-XXXB-B refers to a humanoid by the name Llieyoid "Lloyd" Gardner, who claims to be a extra-dimensional traveler, originating from the year ████.

SCP-XXXB-B was recovered when the subject manifested within Shepparton, during Incident-Itialuit-17. DNA analysis of the subject showed that it possessed several alleles that are not in existence in the human population as of 2015. The alleles appear to be variants of current forms, however with significant changes that seem to have evolved naturally.

SCP-XXXB-C refers to another humanoid, the former Dr. Francois Okorie, who is also believed to be an extra-dimensional traveler. SCP-XXXB-C was first recruited to the Foundation from ████████ University, in ████████, Cote d'Ivoire, on ██/█/1989. SCP-XXXB-C showed complete loyalty to the foundation, and was never suspected to be anomalous in any way, until Incident-Itialuit-17.

Incident-Itialuit-17

From 2009, to 2015, the town of Shepparton, Alaska was host to several anomalous incidents that were presumed to be caused by SCP-XXXB-1². The Foundation was unaware of the happening within Shepparton, due its remote location in northern Alaska, and general disconnect from the outside world.

Foundation agents first became alerted to the abnormal occurrences in Shepparton when SCP-XXXB-C, situated in Nome at the time, informed agents that it believed that several anomalous activities were occurring within the town. Agents were dispatched to the town, and upon witnessing anomalies themselves, established a perimeter around the town. Two days later, local fishers reported witnessing something "massive" breaking through the ice southwest of the town. MTF units were dispatched, and were almost immediately besieged by SCP-XXXB-A. MTF units fought back SCP-XXXB-A for approximately two hours, but soon withdrew, due to mounting casualties. SCP-XXXB-A proceeded to Shepparton itself, where it began to attack the townspeople. Reinforcements were called, and the town was evacuated with moderate success. SCP-XXXB-A was contained approximately twelve hours later when it collapsed in the middle of the town, presumably due to exhaustion. Casualties are speculated to be no higher than ██, sixty percent of which are citizens of Shepparton. SCP-XXXB-A has since shown little signs of movement, but is still considered to be a identifiable threat to The Foundation. After deliberation, Site ██ was established within the town itself. The town's remaining citizens were given Class-A amnestics, provided with a false story, and released back into the public, without incident.

During the siege on Shepparton, SCP-XXXB-B manfested within a small garage. SCP-XXXB-B emerged from the structure, and was apprehended by Foundation agents. It was incorrectly assumed that SCP-XXXB-B was simply another resident of Shepparton, who had not been evacuated, but upon standardized blood and DNA testing, it was determined that SCP-XXXB-B was an anomaly itself.

SCP-XXXB-B was initially uncooperative with Foundation personnel, but later agreed to comply with the Foundation, and provide information on itself and its situation.

Foreword: This interview was conducted several months after Incident-Itialuit-17.

Senior Researcher Turpin: Please state your name for the record.

SCP-XXXB-B: Uh… Llieyoid Gardner. But uh… It's just Lloyd. For a name, I mean.

Senior Researcher Turpin: Right, Lloyd Gardner. And you've claimed to be a dimensional traveller?

SCP-XXXB-B: Sort of.

Senior Researcher Turpin: Explain.

SCP-XXXB-B: Alright, well, this is going to sound a bit nutty, well, because frankly it is. I'm not from around these parts, I'm from the year ████. Born and raised in the American sector. Kind of like what you'd think of as a country I suppose.

Senior Researcher Turpin: People in the future speak like you do?

SCP-XXXB-B: Oh, oh no. God no. Nothing like this at all. I just took a lot of classes on the slang and terminology of this time period. It's required if you're going to be undergoing missions around these parts.

Senior Researcher Turpin: Can you explain what you mean by "missions"?

SCP-XXXB-B: Yeah, yeah let me get to that. I called this interview because I wanted to explain things. So let me explain. Future isn't exactly a utopia, let me say that. Sometime around ████, the planet split into two major factions. Think of it like the U.S, and uh…. what were they called…. the United Super Soviet Republic, or whatever it was. Like that. For the last… maybe two hundred years or so, the two superpowers have been at a complete standstill. If anyone so much as flinches, a button gets pressed, and nuclear hellfire rains.

Senior Researcher Turpin: And they've discovered how to travel through time in the future? Is it widely known?

SCP-XXXB-B: I'm getting to that. Just for the record though, its highest forms of government knowledge only, and we're not the future. Again, I'll get to that. The faction I'm from is called the C.C.O. Don't ask what the abbreviation means though. It's one of our best kept secrets. I'm serious though, I actually don't know. We're led by a man named Balthazar Argonne. I don't think that's his real name though. The other guys, are The Black Cats. Saint Fernando is their go-to leader. Again, pretty sure that's not his real name.

(SCP-XXXB-B pauses for a moment)

SCP-XXXB-B: Anyways, we're so cemented into this standoff, that special agents from both sides have taken to waging war within the past, in attempts to stop the enemy before they even get started. Thing is, time isn't exactly a simple thing to play around with. I can swing back in time and kill your dad before you're even born, and if I stay where I am, I'll grow up in a world where you never existed. But if I swing back to my time, you're still gonna be sitting here.

Senior Researcher Turpin: So you're unable to change the past at all?

SCP-XXXB-B: Not exactly. Nothing changes once you swing back, not until The Storm hits that is.

Senior Researcher Turpin: The Storm?

SCP-XXXB-B: Eventually, our boys started to realise that we weren't able to travel back to certain points after time had passed. Thing was, is that those points we couldn't go to, they travelled linearly. We were able to track this encroaching… well… Storm, as it swept through time itself. The assumption is that once the storm passes a certain point, that's when whatever you've done in the past is going to be set in stone. Think of it like those tapes you have, the VHS ones. Filming something on one, and then rewinding it. It's still the same. The Black Cats and the C.C.O are the one's rewinding the tape, and The Storm is the one who's filming something over it. And once The Storm finally gets to where we are, that's when we win.

Senior Researcher Turpin: So because of this "Storm", these mega-factions have been waging these special operations type of missions in the past.

SCP-XXXB-B: Pretty much. Most of it's centred around ████ and the North African Republic though. The C.C.O try to topple the Islamic government of the NAR³, while the Black Cats try to protect it. NAR's really important to them, since it led to their founding and all.

(Senior Researcher Turpin pauses to write down notes)

SCP-XXXB-B: Actually, I got a question for you guys. I hope this doesn't sound silly, but… who are you guys? You're clearly not Black Cat, so who are you?

Senior Researcher Turpin: I'm afraid that's classified information.

SCP-XXXB-B: I heard one of those guys earlier call me an SCP. SCP like Secure-Contain-Protect Foundation?

Senior Researcher Turpin: Where have you heard that name before?

SCP-XXXB-B: Huh, so it is you guys. I always thought you guys were a myth. Really-….. wait…. that means…..

Senior Researcher Turpin: Let me repeat myself. Where have you heard that name before?

SCP-XXXB-B: You guys got leaked sometime around ████, but that's not the important thing. Look, this is strictly confidential, but…. well, I've said too much that I shouldn't of said anyways. In 2015, an angry Inuit God emerges from the sea, and goes on a rampage through most of northern Alaska. Destroyed towns, killed thousands, all kinds of things. Eventually, it just falls off the face of the map. I'm guessing you guys got it. Anyways, government at the time was able to brush everything under the rug, just barely though. It's going to sound like an awful thing to say, but that massacre was an extremely inconsequential part of history. A blip practically. Even at blip status, it has nothing to do at all with either the C.C.O or the Black Cats. So you can imagine our surprise when double agents showed us records of covert Black Cat operations around the area and timeframe. Turns out that they were after this kid, a kid of all things, living in one of the villages that got ravaged. Roy Wagner (Designated POI-776885), his name was. Don't know what they wanted with him, but anyways, I got sent back to prevent them from stopping the massacre to save him. My point being, to stop that ice God, The Black Cats knew they had to get you guys involved. I think they known about you guys, and I think you've been breached. Just…. look into it, ok?

Senior Researcher Turpin: Well…. Thank you for that information Mr. Gardner. We'll see what we can do.

SCP-XXXB-B: I don't know why I'm helping you guys. But… well….. I don't really think I knew who the good guys are anymore anyways.

Senior Researcher Turpin: Why did you wait so long to tell us this then? If you wanted to help us?

SCP-XXXB-B: I didn't always want to. I thought that my guys would just swing back and get me. They would of by now. They would have! They…. fuck… You know, I always heard the horror stories about these kinds of things. Agents being left in the past. Falling beyond the storm. Never believed them. It was stupid. The C.C.O left me to die out here. The C.C.O fucked me. So, I'm doing the same. Anything you want to know, you ask me.

Senior Researcher Turpin: Right, could you clearly explain how this technology you use to travel time works?

SCP-XXXB-B: I'm… not the most knowledgeable, honestly. uh… it's a two man thing, one driver and one agent. I don't think they're really driving, but…. I really don't know. I know they only work in one direction though. I can go to where I live from this time, but I can't go further than that. That's why I keep saying that we're not the future. We're just… now, in the present, I suppose.

Senior Researcher Turpin: But you're our future, correct?

SCP-XXXB-B: Suppose so. I guess it all depends on that storm. That fucking storm. I just…. can you leave me for a bit Doc? I need to think for a bit.

Senior Researcher Turpin's Note: According to our records, it was indeed one of our men, Dr. Francois Okorie, that first pushed Foundation attention onto Shepparton. May I suggest we pay Dr. Okorie a little visit at Site 19?

Following Interview 174-1, several efforts were made to locate and apprehend Francois Okorie for questioning, however as of 01/01/2017, neither him, nor POI-776885 have been located. Okorie was assigned SCP classification following Interview 174-1, and is considered uncontained.

Following Interview 174-1, SCP-XXXB-B's mental health began to rapidly deteriorate, presumably from stress, anxiety, and paranoia. SCP-XXXB-B has been observed to frequently speak to itself, in a language and dialect that sounds similar to English. This is assumed to be SCP-XXXB-B's native language. Currently, Foundation linguists are still attempting to decipher SCP-XXXB-B's speech, with little success reported.

Addendum-02

Following a long portion of time where SCP-XXXB-B was again uncooperative with Foundation personnel, the subject unexpectedly requested to speak with a member of the Foundation assigned to SCP-XXXB.

SCP-XXXB-B: Oh thank God. It was you they brought in. Listen, I've been thinking. I've been doing alot of thinking. The Storm's coming. It's coming, and… oh fuck… fuck…….

Senior Researcher Turpin: Mr. Gardner, if you don't have anything-

SCP-XXXB-B: You guys! You're a myth, you know what I mean? You're a legend, you're a story, you're a fucking….. you're fucking ghosts! Not even the C.C.O knew about you guys. And you know what? Where I come from, we're not all gone. There are no rampaging monsters, or angry Gods, or….. fucking pencils that start revolutions. It's all as it is!

Senior Researcher Turpin: I don't understan-

SCP-XXXB-B: What I'm trying to say is, you guys are still around where I come from! You're still here! You can fix this! You can fix The Storm, you can stop it! You have the tools, I'm sure you do. You gotta fix this.

Senior Researcher Turpin: Mr. Gardner I'm afraid that's not something that we're willing to commit to right now. Even if we could confirm that the future-

SCP-XXXB-B: The Future! I told you we're not the fucking future. See, I've been thinking alot about that too. The future. And how we aren't the future. How we can't go into the future. I don't think there is any future after The Storm. I… I don't know if that means we lost, or we won, or if it's just some stupid little play on words. But I know that we have to stop that Storm. Because it's coming, and when it comes, everything's gonna fucking change man.

(SCP-XXXB-B pauses)

SCP-XXXB-B: Or, and hear me out on this, maybe everything will just go to the way it used to be. We're sitting here thinking that The Storm's gonna set our actions in stone, but what if it doesn't? What if it just…. takes us away? Or something else like that, or anything else!

(SCP-XXXB-B pauses)

SCP-XXXB-B: Look, I've been thinking alot about this. And I think we can agree that there's something more than…. than this. Than this table, than this chair. Something more than material stuff. Do you agree?

Senior Researcher Turpin: Yes, I suppose that's something I could agree with.

SCP-XXXB-B: Think back to the beginning of existence. There had to be conditions such that the universe’s existence was possible. There just had to be. If the universe wasn’t possible, then it couldn’t have come to exist. That makes sense, right?

Senior Researcher Turpin: Mr. Gardner where are you going with this?

SCP-XXXB-B: Those conditions, the ones that made existence possible, they cannot be material laws, and they can't be laws of matter either, since those came into being with the existence of the universe. So whatever those conditions are, they have to be something other than the… the… the basic substance of the universe. That just makes sense logically. This isn't an argument for an all-maker or God, It’s an argument for a something that continues to exist. Except, hold on just a second, we can’t even say that. Because ideas like ‘something’ and ‘exist’ are developed within physical reality. And this is something pre-physical. Something pre-existence. Whatever it is allowed the universe to spontaneously be. What do you think its been doing these billions of years?

Senior Researcher Turpin: And you think this "thing" is The Storm?

SCP-XXXB-B: All I'm saying is, I don't think this thing appreciates us meddling with its timeline. And I think its working to fix it piece by piece. And if you won't stop it…. It's fucking over…. fuck….

Closing Statement: Three days after the conclusion of Interview 174-2, SCP-XXXB-B began a hunger strike, refusing to eat or hydrate itself. As of the creation of this document, SCP-XXXB-B is still refusing to eat or drink, leading Foundation personnel to forcibly nourish SCP-XXXB-B. Debates are still ongoing by senior researchers as to what should become of SCP-XXXB-B.
