Special Containment Procedures: SCP-5139 must be contained within soundproof walls due to it's capability of killing through noise. When being tested, SCP-5139 requires no security detail.

Description: SCP-5139 is a 1 meter wide cassette tape player that was manufactured around c. 1978. The manufacturer is unknown. SCP-5139 consistently plays the following notes: A, G#, G, G# A. Anybody standing within a 2.5 meter radius of SCP-5139 will be exposed to it's tune. After 8 seconds, the listener will be drawn to SCP-5139, and will have no desire to leave SCP-5139's containment cell, and willingly sings along. After 10 minutes of exposure, the listener will continue to sing along with SCP-5139, except showing no emotion, all expression leaving the eyes, the listener would not move any body parts except sing along, as if they were being forced to sing along. When 30 minutes of exposure have passed, the listener will experience severe nausea, intense migraines, bleeding noses, and intense coughing. Finally, after 45 minutes of exposure, the listener will die due to coughing out pieces of internal organs, bleeding to death, or vomiting on excessive levels.

Foreword: A foundation scientist is testing SCP-5319 with D-6872 to find out what makes the brain affected by SCP-5139 and weakness to anomalous sound can be prevented.

D-6872 continues singing, showing signs of being in a catatonic state.

D-6872 shows no signs of awareness of his surroundings and does not respond.

D-6872: HELP…MUSIC….M…MUSIC D-6872 would desperately attempt to communicate with the scientist, but fails due to the urge to sing along with SCP-5139. He would begin to have a nose bleed, and 4 seconds later, throw up.
Closing Statement: [Subject died 45 minutes post-exposure. After brain analysis, it showed severe damage and red coloring around the frontal lobe. Conclusion: The sound SCP-5139 projects is processed through the brain like any other sound. Solution and further studies still yet to occur.]
