On the ideas and brainstorming forum already. Basically what this is supposed to be is a place to
Practice coming up with SCP ideas that are more
Narrative driven. This came from a criticism of one of my ideas that I posted on the forum it was directly inspired by this essay
List of ideas
Thing: a person suffering from a probabilistic anamaly that makes it impossible for them to have an active social life or make friends due to bad luck
Narrative appeal/interest: essentially it's about social isolation and an exploration of it through this anomaly.
Thing: a 1950's propaganda film that essentially transports the conciousness of a typical 1950's conservative into its veiwers
Narrative appeal/interest: a critique of pro-american/capitalist propaganda. The narrative of the object being a possible UIU experiment
Thing: a memetic/cognitohazardous infection that originates From a Seth rogan film that causes people to interpret Everything communicated to them as a sex joke or a Sexual innuendo. Spreads either by watching the film
Or through interaction with the infected for longer than approximately 15 minutes.
Narrative appeal/interest: more of a jokey SCP for obvious reasons
Thing: basically just AOC but she has the ability to unintentionally manipulate conservatives into doing stupid shit. (Something she kinda does already but except here it's anomolous)
Narrative appeal/interest: satire. Kinda obvious if you've seen the kinds of people that get mad at AOC.
Thing: a life size robot that transforms to reflect the insecurities of the robots user, wether they be physical or psychological insecurities.
Narrative appeal/interest: a sort of commentary on how we project our insecurities onto our creations/art
