Special Containment Procedures:

—SCP-XXXX is to be kept in a humanoid containment chamber with steel-reinforced walls with steel plating on the inside of the chamber. Contact with SCP-XXX is to be limited. SCP-XXXX not required to be given meals as it has not shown any need for nourishment of any kind. —

SCP-XXXX is to be kept in a humanoid containment fitted on all sides with 2-inch thick polycarbonate slabs at all times and is not to be given any foodstuffs or liquids. If any plant-like foliage is to be observed within SCP-XXXX's cell, SCP-XXXX is to immediately be removed by a minimum of 3 Foundation Response teams and escorted to a separate containment chamber fitted to the previous containment requirements, with 3 additional Response teams on stand by as well as the entire facility put into lockdown until SCP-XXXX is secured. The previous cell is to be fully decontaminated with carborane acid. No personnel is to make contact with SCP-XXXX. These procedures have only shown signs of slowing SCP-XXXX and will not be enough to fully prevent a containment breach. In the event of a full containment breach, the on-site nuclear warhead is to be detonated. Should any meteorological or geological events (including but not limited to, earthquakes, landslides, extreme lightning storms, volcanic eruptions, typhoons, or blizzards) take place, SCP-XXXX should be monitored for activity.

Description:

SCP-XXXX is an entity that produces a cognitohazardous effect disguising itself entirely as one's mother evening knowing basic details about individuals. SCP-XXXX has also has been shown to be able to manipulate plant-life and cause plant life to grow spontaneously in any soil or liquid as well as grow beyond normal proportions. It is unknown how XXXX is able to do so. SCP-XXXX has exhibited sentience and the ability and intention of communication.
Following the events of the ██/██/████ containment breach, XXXX's mind-affecting trait was also discovered. After prolonged exposure to SCP-XXXX's cognitohazardous effect causes individuals to become confused, after continued exposure becoming severely cognitively impaired, and often begin thinking of SCP-XXXX as their own mother. While in this state, individuals become attentive to SCP-XXXX with instances of individuals speaking SCP-XXXX's tongue, with all individuals exhibiting hive-mind characteristics. This effect has not been found permanent and will wear off within 2-3 days as long as contact with SCP-XXXX is not reinitiated, with most individuals experiencing amnesia beginning around initial exposure. SCP-XXXX's moods and activity have been witnessed influencing global meteorological and geological events as well as an abnormal increase in birthrates each year beginning the year of SCP-XXXX's initial capture.

SCP-XXXX was recovered ██/██/████ on the island of ████████ in the Aegean Sea, in the village of ██████████. Reports of several missing travelers all leading back to ██████████. Which caught the attention of Interpol who sent a team of operatives, including embedded Foundation Agent Cyrio Valasquez, to investigate. The team reportedly found the village all but deserted with odd statues and engravings carved into multiple structures, depicting the Greek goddess of the earth and mother to the gods, Gaia. Agent Valasquez reported this data to the Foundation, then a report of a familiar-looking woman approaching him and the Interpol operatives, followed by complete radio silence. Foundation MTF Gamma 7 (Fishermen) were sent in to recover the anomaly as well as Agent Valasquez and the civilians. Initial searches of the village were inconclusive to the whereabouts of the anomaly or persons. During a search in the nearby mountainside, the team encountered SCP-XXXX, who was found kneeling over Agent Valasquez in an unconscious state. The apprehension of SCP-XXXX was notably easy, prompting suspicion from Fisherman members. Further searches of the island proved inconclusive to the whereabouts of the Interpol team or village residents of who's location still remains unknown.

Tests conducted by Dr. T. Bosonac and Dr. ██████ ████████ with the purpose of exposing SCP-XXXX's true form. XXXX's true form was revealed to be [DATA EXPUNDGED]. The photos obtained by Dr. Bosonac are extremely cognitohazardous and any photo imagery of XXXX's true form should not be attempted to be observed, any visual observation of which will result in permanent retinal scarring. All visual imagery of SCP-XXXX's true form is to be held in separate containment and classed as SCP-XXXX-2. Dr. Bosonac and Dr. ██████ █████████ have also conducted multiple attempts at verbal communication involving D-Class personnel, most of which have failed due to SCP-XXXX's inability to understand and speak any modern language, including English, German, French, Italian, Russian, Japanese, Chinese, Spanish, Arabic, and Swahili. However, SCP-XXXX's has been observed speaking a dead language with slight similarities to Ancient Greek.
