Item #: SCP-3447
Object Class: Safe
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-#3447 is to be kept in a medium-security containment cell at Site-██ due to its unsafe capabilities in the wrong hands and testing must be authorized by Dr.██████.
Description: SCP-3447 is an unknown brand of grand piano with no damage to it accept a slightly scratched leg. There are stickers on the keys designating the note and it stays in perfect tune no matter the humidity or temperature of the room its in.
SCP-3447 was found at ████, Oregon in a burnt down music shop, witnesses reported the shop bursting into flames with no warning and burning to the ground. The foundation was called in due to the only object left standing, the piano, which was in perfect condition.
The anomalous property of this object only emerges once a semi-skilled piano player attempts to play the piano, in which for every key pressed, a different disaster happens in the room the piano is in. The severity of the disaster depends on how high or low pitched the key is played. For example if the lowest A key is played then light snow will fall but if the highest A key is played then the room will quickly fill the room trapping the pianist.
This was discovered when a D-Class personnel who had many semi decent piano skills played the piano resulting in mass disaster in the room severely injuring the personnel in the process. Although the disaster didn't damage the walls or floors of the room leaving the room unscathed.
Test Log Of Keys and Severity:
Procedure: The A key was played on the piano.
Results: Lowest key played and light snow started to fall in the room, Pianist slowly played keys in an upward motion and by the highest key the room was full of snow and had the pianist had to be evacuated and was treated for hypothermia.
Procedure: The B key was played on the piano.
Results: Results very similar to the previous accept instead of snow heat started to accumulate in the room and near the highest key the temperature registered at approximately 125 F and the Pianist was helped out of the room.
