Object Class: Euclid Apollyon
Special Containment Procedures: As of now, there is no way to effectively contain SCP-5757. All research is being focused towards containing SCP-5757. Any case of SCP-5757-1 is to be removed immediately. Anyone who comes into direct contact with a case of SCP-5757 is to be quarantined for a minimum of 2 weeks. All subjects attempting to recover a case of SCP-5757-1 must wear a class-4 environmental suit.
Revision-12/██: Do to a massive containment breach in site -██ relating to SCP-5757-1, all cases are to be destroyed immediately after retrieval. There are no exceptions to this. (See addendum 5757-F)
Revision-3/██: MTF-Tau-5 is to patrol the northern parts of Canada and Russia at all times. If a case of SCP-5757-1 is sighted, it is to be terminated immediately. four (4) D-Class personnel are to be on any patrol sight at all times. When SCP-5757-1 appears, a D-Class personnel is to string a rope around it while wearing a class-4 environmental suit. Once the rope is tied, SCP-5757-1 is to be tipped over on its side for incineration. (See addendum 5757-K)
SCP-5757 upon discovery
Description: SCP-5757 (Also referred to as “The Monolith”) appears to be a steel prism around 12 feet tall x 2 feet wide and weighs exactly 6,500kg. Little is known about SCP-5757, but it is believed to lead to an XK- class scenario. SCP-5757 is sentient, and has the goal of wiping all life from planet earth. SCP-5757 was first discovered in Utah in November of 20██ by (Redacted). Titled “The Monolith,” SCP-5757 soon made news headlines and became an internet sensation. The SCP foundation soon caught sight of this, and dispatched MTF Omega-0 to recover “The Monolith,” where they discovered the first anomalous property. Although the prism had the same chemical formula as industrial steel, it was over twice as strong as titanium, and also appeared to emit trace amounts of radiation. It took the MTF unit nearly 16 hours to finally remove SCP-5757, in which Captain █████ stated “leave no trace.” Shortly after SCP-5757 arrived at the Foundation’s Site-██ for testing (see addendum 5757-A).
SCP-5757-1 is a second “Monolith,” which has been appearing all over the planet since the disappearance of SCP-5757 (addendum 5757-B). SCP-5757-1 is constantly shifting position on the planet, each time appearing in a different shape, yet maintaining the same mass of 6,500kg. As of now, there have been 27 200 350,000 20,000,000 cases of SCP-5757-1, with 2 4 91 (see addendum 5757-E) of them being discovered by the public. On occasion, cases of SCP-5757 will change its chemical compound. Common compounds include: Industrial steel, uranium, lead, aluminum, titanium, and plutonium (See addendum 5757-D). SCP-5757’s purpose is currently unknown, but until it is, it will be classified as Apollyon. When a subject stands within 20 feet of SCP-5757-1, the anomaly will “attack” the subject, usually by putting visions of an XK Scenario involving SCP-5757-1.
Revision 1/██: SCP-5757-1 will attack cities by ramming into the sides of buildings at over Mach-4. At this speed, the metal incinerates on impact, so many of them act as suicide bombers. It has been found that despite the extreme velocity, the metal on SCP-5757-1 remains unscathed. (See Addendum 5757-H)
Addendum:
Addendum 5757-A: During testing with SCP-5757, subject D-4538 suddenly started screaming. When questioned on this, he claimed that SCP-5757 had shown him the future, described as a hellish landscape absent of life with metal pillars covering the surface. The O5 Council has pushed all efforts towards researching SCP-5757. Object class upgraded to Apollyon.
Addendum 5757-B: approximately 3 days after retrieval, SCP-5757 was reported missing by (Redacted). After several hours of scans, the Monolith was determined to have simply disappeared.
Addendum 5757-C: around 4 hours after the disappearance of SCP-5757, a new monolith was discovered. The foundation declared these cases as SCP-5757-1. When D-12387 approached the anomaly for retrieval, he suddenly froze. D-12387 stood perfectly still for 2 hours before collapsing on the ground and screaming until blood began to spew out of his mouth, eyes, and ears. D-12387 was terminated out of mercy. Any further direct testing with SCP-5757 has been denied.
Addendum 5757-D: A case of SCP-5757-1 was found to be made out of solid caesium. This was extremely anomalous, as cesium is the most reactive metal on the planet, even with air, yet no reaction was taking place. Possibly the strangest part of this case is that the metal was a very solid structure, though cesium is a soft metal. When approached, SCP-5757-1 caused a 25,000 kiloton explosion. When the smoke cleared, there was no damage. Instead, there was a massive scorch mark around where SCP-5757-1 once stood. The retrieval team reported only minor injuries.
Addendum 5757-E: The Foundation now has over 200 confirmed cases of SCP-5757-1. 2 89 more have been found by the public, making a total of 91 cases in public knowledge. Recently, the cases of SCP-5757-1 have stopped disappearing on retrieval and have started moving freely throughout site-██. All doors in site-██ leading to cases of SCP-5757-1 have been sealed.
Addendum 5757-F: On 12/██, the cases of SCP-5757-1 caused a massive containment breach involving [DATA EXPUNGED] This resulted in the deaths of 53 foundation staff, and the escape of several D-Class personnel. MTF Tau-5 was responsible for the retrieval of the escaped SCP-5757-1.
Addendum 5757-G: On 12/██, a case of SCP-5757-1 began speaking to a researcher before it was destroyed. The foundation managed to have a proper discussion with SCP-5757-1.

Doctor ████:Let's just get started then. During tests, other subjects of SCP-5757-1 have shown visions of a future void of all life, and covered in cases of SCP-5757-1, like yourself. What do these mean?
SCP-5757-1: That is the future.
Doctor ████: What about the SCP-5757-1?
SCP-5757-1: That is this worlds fate. That is this world's end.
Doctor ████: Why is that so?
SCP-5757-1: Nothing can be done to stop it.
Doctor ████: Why do you want the world to die? Is it because you hate all life?
SCP-5757-1: (Chuckles) We tried to show you, but your human selves couldn't take it.
Doctor ████: Please elaborate.
SCP-5757-1: Nothing can be done. If you try to stop it now, then you are already too late.
[SCP-5757-1 repeats this phrase several times before it goes silent.]
Closing Statement: All research must be focused on preventing this inevitable XK-Class scenario. If it's not preventable, then we must be prepared to protect the world from it.
Addendum 5757-H: On 1/██, over 350 SCP-5757-1 instances have collected around a small city in (REDACTED). The instances attempted to completely level the city, resulting in over 3,000 civilian deaths, and 15,000 wounded. MTF units Tau-5 and Alpha-1. Class 4 amnestics were administered to all survivors. MTF Alpha-1 suffered heavy losses.
Addendum 5757-I: On 3/██, over 300 cases of SCP-5757-1 attempted to destroy foundation Site-██. Over half of all staff were killed, and a massive containment breach occurred. MTF Tau-5 and MTF Epsilon-11 were dispatched to contain the escaped anomalies and destroy the SCP-5757-1. MTF Tau-5 has since been assigned to SCP-5757.
Addendum 5757-J: Over 4,000 cases of SCP-5757-1 formed in Northern Canada, and started advancing down toward major cities, including Toronto, New York, Cleveland, Newark, and Washington D.C. The cases were stopped before they could make it to any major population zones, but the estimated civilian casualty rate is 15,000-20,000. The O5 Council has declared an XK-Class end of the world scenario.
Addendum 5757-K: The Foundation has confirmed 20,000,000 cases of SCP-5757-1. All have been destroyed.
Addendum 5757-L: The instances of SCP-5757-1 have stopped appearing. It is unknown why this is. All SCP-5757-1 cases have been rendered immobile. Though this is a victory for the foundation, an instance of SCP-5757-1 started talking to foundation personnel.

Closing Statement: It was discovered that when SCP-5757-1 began moving freely, there was a semi-planetary alignment between Jupiter and Saturn. The next major planetary alignment isn't for a few hundred years, so we have much more time to prepare for the next attack.
Addendum 5757-M: On 4/██, all instances of SCP-5757-1 disappeared. It is unknown why this is, but the foundation is keeping an eye on the case. Research for the next attack began immediately following this.
