Special Containment Procedures: Any documentation involving SCP-4047 is to be written by personnel under the effects of SCP-148. If any documents written without the usage of SCP-148 are found, they are to be considered SCP-4047 addenda. Furthermore, any testing on SCP-148 must be accompanied with at least one (1) sample of SCP-148. Knowledge of SCP-4047 is restricted to personnel of Level-3 Level-4 clearance (see Addendum-4047-B).

Description: SCP-4047 is a standard, perfectly normal pair of sunglasses of unknown branding; the only marking visible on SCP-4047 is [REDACTED]. Each lens frame of SCP-4047 have a length of 143 millimetres, and the entirety of SCP-4047 weighs 29 grams. The frames of SCP-4047 are made of zylonite, and the sides of the frame are laced with polycarbonate. All samples of SCP-4047 have been conclusively decided as physically non-anomalous.

SCP-4047 is considered a Class-I Class-II info hazardous anomaly. Once knowledge of SCP-4047 is granted upon a subject, said subject will be convinced of SCP-4047 having "unknown anomalous properties". This effect was found to occur instantaneously upon knowledge of SCP-4047 and is easily nullified through the usage of SCP-148. Subjects aware of SCP-4047, designated SCP-4047-1, are also under the assumption that SCP-4047 poses a great threat and is deserving of Euclid or - in some cases - Keter classification.

The effects of SCP-4047 are supposedly irreversible; attempts to inform SCP-4047-1 instances of SCP-4047's anomalous properties have been unsuccessful thus far. The intensity of the psychological effects of SCP-4047 is gradual and will increase in severity over time. This has been observed to reach extents of mental insanity (see Addendum-4047-C).


Addendum-4047-B: Dr [REDACTED] fell under the effects of SCP-4047 and began researching it. When his results became repetitively inconclusive, he [REDACTED], resulting in 3 staff casualties.

Addendum-4047-C: Addendum-4047-A was shown to D-24687 prior to testing. D-24687 then refused to enter the chamber, resulting in termination.
