Special Containment Procedures: SCP-5127 must be kept in a safe, which is to be placed in a 2x2 metre room with no windows or cameras. SCP-5127 can only be viewed by people suffering from severe depression or anxiety, or D-Class personnel during testing. Any experiments regarding SCP-5127 must be cleared my a senior science officer 2 weeks in advance.

Description: SCP-5127 is a pair of light blue socks from an unknown brand. The socks have strong mental effects on the people that view it, most of them (strangely, other than those with clinical depression) will do anything to return to the socks and see them again. At random intervals after they have seen SCP-5127, they will gain super-human strength until they reach a power level sufficient for returning to the socks.

These super-human abilities are not just limited to strength, multiple records have reported the aim of the subject with firearms increasing, along with speed and throwing ability.

Most subjects that have returned to SCP-5127 report being disappointed by the socks. This, however does not stop or counter the effects, and there is nothing known yet that counters the effect of SCP-5127 other than termination of the subject that viewed it.
