SCP-XXXX
Item #: XXXX
Object Class: Safe
Special Containment Procedures: Site-16 is to retain ownership of 690 Angell St. (henceforth referred to as Site-16-RI) in Providence, Rhode Island to maintain constant observation of SCP-XXXX-1. Signs are to be posted at the trails of Blackstone Park for parents to keep children close at all times, and to promote happiness and safe play. Two cameras are to be posted at SCP-XXXX-1 for more direct observation of the anomaly, and any entity that comes out of SCP-XXXX-1 is to be immediately reported to Site-16.
In the event of a missing person report concerning a child between the ages of two (2) months1 and twelve years, Blackstone Park is to be closed down, and one (1) agent from Site-16-RI is to be posted at SCP-XXXX-1. If said missing person does not return within the next phase of the moon, the Providence Police Department and any other necessary authorities are to take control of the investigation, and until the child is retrieved, subject is to be declared dead. In the likely event that the subject returns unscathed, it is to be interviewed by Agent Cooke.
Description: SCP-XXXX is an alternate dimension. The only known entrance, SCP-XXXX-1, is located in a grove of trees in Blackstone Park on the eastern side of Providence. SCP-XXXX can only be accessed by children between the ages of two months and twelve years, and only if said children have experienced major trauma at any time in their lives, or trauma of any capacity in the past twenty-four (24) hours. Trauma may be either emotional or physical, and the effects of SCP-XXXX do not discriminate the children’s race or gender. Psychological and physiological analysis of children whom have returned from SCP-XXXX reveal that said trauma has been perfectly healed during their stay in SCP-XXXX.
Due to the nature of SCP-XXXX, it is impossible for Foundation agents to enter SCP-XXXX2, and agents at Site-16-RI must rely on the testimony of children whom have visited SCP-XXXX. SCP-XXXX was discovered by accident in 1918 by Stephen English. He was seven years old, and had ventured into Blackstone Park to escape a band of bullies throwing rocks at him, breaking his glasses and bruising his face and arms. He spent the next nine days in SCP-XXXX, and when he returned, he spoke of his experiences on end. His stories spread to his son, Jay English, who became one of the first agents in Site-16 following an impressive military career in the European Theater. He tracked down SCP-XXXX back to Providence, and after looking over police records, confirmed that he had found his father’s secret world. Site-16-RI was established in 1946, and in the past seventy years, the Foundation has confirmed that 320 children have encountered SCP-XXXX and returned. 263 children have been interviewed, and most of them are very consistent. Children are almost always returned to Earth on nights when the moon is either halved, new, full, or undergoing an astronomical event such as a lunar eclipse. The reason for this is unknown.
From what the Foundation can gather, SCP-XXXX is a realm of unknown dimensions with a temperate climate and trees similar in description to mahogany trees at the exit point of SCP-XXXX. There are numerous streams and lakes in SCP-XXXX, and following these rivers leads to a large sea. The sky of SCP-XXXX is a soft bluish purple, and filled with stars. There are between three and five cities in SCP-XXXX, but little is known of these cities save for the architectural style favoring rounded towers and spherical elements. The city is inhabited by a humanoid race designated SCP-XXXX-2, while children interviewed by Foundation personnel call the entities Dreamlords. They are supposedly taller than average humans, but no exact measurements have been given by subjects. Their complexion is a powdery blue to some, and a soft lavender to others. SCP-XXXX-2 is capable of communication, and has been recorded speaking English, Spanish, and an unknown language. Some instances of SCP-XXXX-2 carry staffs with bright gemstones at the tops of said staffs, but it is unclear what the purposes of these staffs are. In the entire history of Site-16-RI, SCP-XXXX-2 has never been violent or hostile, and always gives children food, shelter, water, and any necessary medical attention.
Some testimonies reveal lands outside of the main cluster of cities in SCP-XXXX, but SCP-XXXX-2 speak gravely of them, and it is rare for children to venture into these areas of SCP-XXXX. Those who do are mostly silent on the matter during interviews, and the Foundation believes that there is substantial danger in SCP-XXXX that the Foundation was previously unaware of. Due to these revelations, security around SCP-XXXX-1 was tightened in 1983, but not enough to garner unnecessary attention from civilians and local government. So far, there has been no incident that would require a classification change or an increase in security.
Interview-XXXX-001: The following interview was conducted on 12/05/1956 between Agent English and Donald ██████. ██████ was the first child to enter and leave SCP-XXXX since the foundation of Site-16-RI, and he was interviewed three days after returning to Providence and his family.
<Begin Log>
Agent English: Hello, Donald. I’m with the police, and I would like to know where you were between November 27th and December 2nd. I’m going to ask you some questions, and when we’re done, you can get some treats, and you can go home.
██████: Okay.
Agent English: Can you tell me how old you are?
[██████ holds up five fingers on his right hand and one finger on his left.]
Agent English: Six years old… Can you please state your full name?
██████: Donald Kurt ██████.
Agent English: Good, good. Now, where were you when you were away from your mommy and daddy?
██████: I went to Fairy World.
Agent English: Can you tell me about Fairy World? What was there, what you did, what it looked like, who lived there?
██████: Fairies live in Fairy World.
Agent English: What did they look like? Did they look like me or you, or did they look like animals like a kitty-cat or a puppy?
██████: They were tall, like daddy. They had purple skin, too. They had eyes, and ears, and a nose, and a mouth, and hair.
Agent English: I see. Did the fairies meet you right when you came to Fairy World?
██████: No. [██████ pauses]
Agent English: When did they find you?
██████: A long, long time after I came to Fairy World. I was really scared before they came.
Agent English: Why were you scared, Donald?
██████: It was scary and dark there.
Agent English: How so? Tell me everything.
██████: When you go to Fairy World, you’re in a big black forest. The trees are taller than the trees in the park. And it's real quiet.
Agent English: How long were you alone for?
██████: Hours. When I went to Fairy World, the sky was light, and when the fairies came, it was like evening.
Agent English: Were you scared when the fairies found you?
██████: Yeah, a little. Mommy always tells me to stay away from strangers, and these were strangers, alright!
Agent English: Were you always scared of the fairies, or did you grow to like them?
██████: No, mister. They saw that I was scared, and Oyub came over to me and made me feel better.
Agent English: Who was Oyub, and what did he do to make you feel better?
██████: He was king of the fairies. When he saw me, he sang me a song, and gave me magic juice. When I drank it, I felt all warm inside and happier.
Agent English: What happened next?
██████: Oyub took me to Zarzilg, Larz, and Acoops. They were fairies too, and Zarzilg was son of Oyub. We walked to a boat, and we sailed through a river in the forest. I saw a lot of deer and other animals in the trees, and they all looked at me.
Agent English: Can you describe these animals?
██████: They looked a lot like animals here, but they were glowing and looked more… I don’t know how to say it.
Agent English: Try.
██████: They looked familiar. Like I saw them before, but I can't remember it.
Agent English: Interesting. Continue to tell me about your journey up the river.
██████: The river opened up into a big sea, and we sailed through it to an island where we went to Zmamay.
Agent English: What is Zmamay?
██████: Oyub's city. It doesn’t look like Providence or New York, mister. The buildings were circles, and they were so tall that they touched the stars. Every fairy had magic, and everyone had homes. There were no frowns, and they all sang while we all speak.
Agent English: Did anything of note happen in Zmamay?
██████: There was a parade, and all the fairies cheered for me. Oyub and his friends took me to his castle. We ate yummy food, played games, and looked through magic mirrors. I was always happy there. [Subject giggles]
Agent English: Tell me more about the magic mirrors.
██████: They were like regular mirrors, but they had golden edges, and when I looked into them, I saw other people.
Agent English: Who were these people?
██████: I dunno [sic]. They were just people. I saw Americans, Mexicans, Asians, and black people. They were all sleeping too.
Agent English: When you viewed these people, did they ever wake up, or did they always sleep?
██████: When they woke up, the mirror broke.
Agent English: How so?
██████: It stopped showing me the people, and only showed me.
Agent English: What were the fairies doing at this time?
██████: Singing songs. They made me feel happy and sad at the same time. [Subject’s voice begins to quiver, and he sniffles] I can’t… I can’t explain it, mister.
Agent English: It’s okay, Donald. We’re almost done with the interview. I only have one more question. Why did you leave?
██████: The fairies showed me mommy, and I got sad. They gave me a sip of funny water, and I fell asleep. When I woke up, I was in the forest. The park.
Agent English: Thank you for your testimony, Donald. [Subject goes through his pockets and pulls out candy] Here you go. Don’t eat it all in one sitting!

The majority of all subsequent interviews followed a pattern similar to Donald ██████’s experience in SCP-XXXX with minor changes here and there. Due to this repetition, not every interview from File-XXXX-A shall be divulged.
Interview-XXXX-259: The following interview was conducted on 03/11/1983 between Dr. Lester of Site-19 and [REDACTED], five days following her return to Providence. She was initially interviewed on 03/07/1983 by Agent Hopkins, but [REDACTED] reacted poorly to the agent, and Site Director ██████ thought it best to bring a child psychologist in to interview the girl.
<Begin Log>
Dr. Lester: This is Dr. J. Lester, interviewing [REDACTED] and gathering her testimony on her experiences in recent days.
[REDACTED]: I don't understand why I'm being interviewed. I already told the police everything.
Dr. Lester: I’m not with the police. I’m a representative from the American Psychological Association. My superiors have heard about your case, [REDACTED], and they are very interested to see what a child feels when they go through in such a unique, traumatic experience.
[REDACTED]: [Angrily] It happened, I swear! Don’t listen to the police, I really went to that place!
Dr. Lester: [Calmly and coolly] I’m not here to deny or support your claims. I just want to hear about what happened. Please state your name and age.
[REDACTED]: Why?
Dr. Lester: So when we look back on the records, we get a clear understanding of who’s saying what. And since you’re a child, we at the APA believe that age is as important as the child’s name. That’s why I said my name at the beginning.
[REDACTED]: Okay. My name is [REDACTED], and I am eleven years old.
Dr. Lester: Good, good. Please recount what happened between March first and the sixth.
[REDACTED]: I ran away from home.
Dr. Lester: Why?
[REDACTED]: My dad. He hates me, and I hate him. I… I don't want to talk about that stuff.
Dr. Lester: You don't need to. Where did you run to?
[REDACTED]: Well, before all this happened, I used to run around Blackstone Park with my friends, and that was the only place I felt that I could be happy in. I wanted to live off the land, like a fur trapper. As I was running through the forest, it just happened in the blink of an eye. One minute I was in the familiar forest, and the next I was somewhere else, completely unlike anywhere on Earth.
Dr. Lester: Did you encounter any living things there?
[REDACTED]: Yes. About a minute or so after I wound up there, a boat sailed down a river nearby. The boat didn’t look like any other I had ever seen, and the people were just as weird. They had purple skin, and wore dark bluish purple robes. One of them, their leader I think, beckoned me to join him, but I ran through the woods away from them.
Dr. Lester: Did you run to anywhere of note?
[REDACTED]: [Quietly] Yes.
Dr. Lester: Tell me about it.
[REDACTED]: After a little while, I came across a mountain range, even though I had climbed up a tree earlier and saw no mountains anywhere. I made my way up the mountains, and came across this cave. It was really creepy.
Dr. Lester: How so?
[REDACTED]: It… I… The cave… I'm so sorry, I can't describe it.
Dr. Lester: Try.
[REDACTED]: It was like God. Like it was looking into my soul.
Dr. Lester: Did you go into the cave?
[REDACTED]: Yes. I don’t know why I did it, but I did. And inside… I saw spiders. Spiders everywhere.
Dr. Lester: Were they regular spiders, or did they look different, like something out of a movie?
[REDACTED]: The spiders… [[REDACTED] begins to breathe heavily] So large… So strong… So evil!
[[REDACTED] begins to scream and writhe around on the floor. Agent ██████ runs into the room and restrains [REDACTED].]
Agent ██████: What the hell happened?
[REDACTED]: SPIDERS! ZAH! THEY'RE IN MY HEAD! GET THEM OUT!
Dr. Lester: She's having an emotional episode! Administer 20 CCs of anesthesia now!
<End Log>
Two days following Interview-XXXX-259, Dr. Lester interviewed [REDACTED] once more, hoping to gain information on what she experienced in SCP-XXXX that traumatized her so much. The interview yielded no new information, and concluded that the nature of these threats could not be determined.
Addendum-XXXX-1: In 2002, Agent [DATA EXPUNGED] proposed that Site-16-RI organize a mobile task force comprised of twelve-year-olds, which he called Gemini-08, and would explore SCP-XXXX. Site Director ██████ had qualms about Gemini-08, and he feared that they would come across the entities described in Interview-XXXX-259, or that they would never leave the luxuries of Zmamay or the identical city of Zahzi. [DATA EXPUNGED] consistently argued with ██████ throughout the summer of 2002, even requesting the adoption of seven orphans from the ██. ████'s ████ ███ ████████. Due to [DATA EXPUNGED]'s erratic behavior surrounding the idea, Gemini-08 was scrapped, and the names of his suggested mobile task force members have been redacted in all Foundation documents.
