ObiJuanKenobi -- Stained Glass Serpent
rating: 0+x

Item #: SCP-XXXX

Object Class: Safe

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be kept at all times in a 9ft x 9ft x 30ft containment room and covered with a weighted drape to prevent direct visual contact with it. If any personnel are to come into direct visual contact contact with SCP-XXXX, removal of the individual from the containment room is the main priority of all assisting personnel. If the host falls unconscious within the emitted light, they are to be removed and exterminated elsewhere.

Description: SCP-XXXX is a 16th century stained glass window depicting a serpent capable of emitting light in an 8ft x 8ft area around it. Subjects that have witnessed SCP-XXXX have noted a voice, similar to those experienced by schizophrenics, immediately after viewing it giving them a task. These tasks follow an irregular pattern, usually requesting self inflicted pain. The host then becomes fixated on completing the task and enters a state of unresponsiveness. Hosts that complete the given task become unconscious for 10-20 hours after, upon waking the subject enters a state of induced insanity attacking anyone on sight. Subjects in this state can be heard begging for forgiveness . If the host is removed from the immediate vicinity of SCP-XXXX, they fall unconscious but, upon waking, do not enter the previously mentioned state of insanity. It is apparent that SCP-XXXX can only inhabit one host at a time and only leaves the host when they either complete the given "task" or leave the room it is situated in. SCP-XXXX was originally found in a church in Belgium in 19██ after locals had experienced voices in their heads giving them tasks. The foundation identified the window at the back of the church, after a research team posing as pilgrims ran a series of tests on D-Class personnel, to be the cause, talk later ceased after the window was replaced with an identical replica.

Addendum: It does not seem like SCP-XXXX can not possess a host without direct visual contact, vision through cameras and drawings can not lead to possession from SCP-XXXX. This has lead us to believe the faint light emitted by SCP-XXXX acts as an energy link between the window itself the entity inside.
