Special Containment Procedures:
SCP-3596 is to be connected to a 3mx3mx6m matter suspension device in order to keep any instances of SCP-3596-1 from coming into contact with any matter. SCP-3596-1 is to be stored in a smaller version of this chamber with no more than 0.008 grams of SCP-3596-1 per chamber. Containment chambers are to be monitored by no less than four (4) armed guards and any unusual fluctuations in the production of SCP-3596-1 is to be reported to the Site Director. In the event of a containment breach due to other SCPs or hostile activity from third-parties, securing SCP-3596 is to be considered Alpha priority. At no point should the on-site warhead be detonated while SCP-3596 is within the blast radius. Should the warhead be activated, SCP-3596 is to be moved to a secure location immediately no less than ██ kilometers away. Use of SCP-3596-1 to terminate dangerous SCPs is awaiting 05 approval. SCP-3596 is not to be used to terminate any SCPs.
Description: SCP-3596 is a device constantly creating antimatter particles using energy from an unknown source. The production of antimatter can not be stopped in any way. SCP-3596 has a turnstyle knob that can be set to “SLOW”, “FAST”, or “█████”. These change the speed in which SCP-3596-1 exits the device respectively. Any antimatter particles produced by SCP-3596 is to be referred to as SCP-3596-1. SCP-3596 weighs 35 kilograms and is shaped as an oblate spheroid with a 47 centimeter “barrel” protruding from the sphere. SCP-3596-1 is assumed to be created by being harvested from another dimension or universe where antimatter is in large quantities. This theory is widely accepted because conventional methods of producing antimatter require much more space than SCP-3596 has.
SCP-3596 is capable of producing 1 gram of antimatter every ██ years. SCP-3596 has created the equivalent of all antimatter currently in human possession in the time span of two weeks. Please note that 1 gram of antimatter costs ~$62.5 trillion and could possibly be harnessed to power major world systems.
SCP-3596 is composed of brass, titanium, and some unknown metal alloys not found on Earth. Though any instances of SCP-3596-1 would almost definitely come into contact with matter before leaving SCP-3596, they seem unaffected by matter until they have completely left the barrel. This would also likely mean that the machine can't be destroyed by its own product, drawing similarities to SCP-294(“The Vending Machine”).
Discovery: SCP-3596 was suspected to have caused an explosion that vaporized all matter within a 28 kilometer radius in ███████, TX, USA with a death toll of ~600 casualties. When Foundation field agents neared the epicenter, the only thing of matter besides bedrock was SCP-3596. Small explosions around the device as the antimatter was coming into contact with oxygen. It is assumed that SCP-3596 was meant to be a weapon to be used on the “█████” setting. Due to sheer destruction caused, practically no evidence can be drawn on how the subject was created and by whom.
