Item #: SCP-XXXX

Object Class: Safe

Special Containment Procedures: When not in use, SCP-XXXX is stored in a encrypted customized safe with Level-3 clearance modeled after a medium sized calligraphy brush case. SCP-XXXX is designated to be used daily alongside with regular carbon-based ink by a site researcher to write down copies of new internal documents in SCP database, sorted by document priority, or any materials requested by site administrators as needed. The original copies are to be archived daily into an encrypted storage safe, and to make █ digital copies archived daily into encrypted digital storage devices and long distance encrypted locations with clearance levels matching the source material.

Description: SCP-XXXX appears to be a medium sized Eastern Asian style calligraphy brush, with a seemingly animal-bone material handle, and an animal-hair-like brush. DNA sequencing has found the bone and hair belongs to one source which does not match any living creatures found on earth, with the closest match being ███-███ at roughly 74%. There has been no visible property changes in appearances in the last ███ years since it was recovered and in use by the foundation.

The content of any document written down by SCP-XXXX with carbon-based ink has not been lost in history. See Recovery Reports for details.

As of 09/15/2321, the attempts to recreate the materials had not been successful, and further physical property testing of SCP-XXXX suspended in favor of preservation.
