My Idea for SCP-3696

Special Containment Procedures:

SCP-3696 is to be locked in a 10 foot by 10 foot room, about 10 feet in height, within Area 0█, on a pedestal, with a camera in the room, monitoring it at all times.

Added Containment Procedures:

There are to be Special MTF Squads to be armed with the 'Special Weaponry' obtained instances of SCP-3696-B and to be on guard at all times. Personnel with Clearance level 4 or higher are allowed to enter the same room as SCP-3696 or request for any tests with SCP-3696. The only ones allowed to give permission for testing with SCP-3696 is the O5 Council.

Description:

SCP-3696 is an ever-changing, hand-held object, current form: rock key apple bo which changes the moment that not one single living being is looking at it. When SCP-3696 is viewed through through a photo or recording, SCP-3696 is only capable of being viewed at, for lack of a better term, a 'glitch'. It has many white rectangles, which make up the 'glitched form', placed in such a fashion that, the potential 'true form' of SCP-3696, does not have a singular pixel visible.

SCP-3696 once picked up by a sentient being, turns the being into an instance of SCP-3696-1.

SCP-3696-1 is an entity that holds SCP-3696 and has the capabilities of creating instances of SCP-3696-2 and SCP-3696-3.

SCP-3696-2 is an inanimate object, weapon, or item created by SCP-3696-1, some of the items that look similar to food or equipment are easier to 'use' (See Addendum: SCP-3696-2 Test 1). However, such objects like furniture, decorations, etc., seem to be completely unaffected by weapons or other equipment that are not instances of SCP-3696-2 (See Addendum: SCP-3696-2 Test 2).

SCP-3696-3 is a living being sometimes with its own sentience created by SCP-3696-1, and are capable of living in normal society as if they have always existed. Some variations of SCP-3696-3 are hostile and will attack any living being, including SCP-3696-1, on sight (See Addendum: SCP-3696-3 Test 1). Some variations of SCP-3696-3 are friendly to everyone, until provoked by being attacked, pushed around to much, or anything a normal person would consider to be too hostile of an action. Another variation of SCP-3696-3 is the equivalent of a bodyguard for SCP-3696-1, once any harm, that is caused by another being, is inflicted onto SCP-3696-1, SCP-3696-3 will begin fighting the one who caused the harm towards SCP-3696-1.

SCP-3696-1 can also open up a 'Menu', with the choices of Continue, Options, Stats, and Quit. The 'Quit' option has been identified as a suicide-switch (See SCP-3696 Test 2).

Addendum:

SCP-3696 Test 1:

*Intercom in the room turns on*

██████: "Approach the SCP."

D-Class: "What does it do?"

██████: "I will not repeat myself."

*Both MTF Units load a round into their weapons*

*D-Class approaches SCP-3696*

██████: "Pick up the SCP."

D-Class: "W-what is it going to do?"

██████: "We are not quite sure yet, Mister ███████, that is why we are doing this. Now, pick up the SCP."

*D-Class-████ picks up SCP-3696 and freezes up for a moment, becoming SCP-3696-1*

*the MTF Units train their weapons on SCP-3696-1*

██████: "D-Class what is going on?"

*SCP-3696-1 looks at their empty hand, in which an SMG of unknown manufacture appears*

*SCP-3696-1 smiles as they aim the gun at the MTF*

MTF Unit ███: "FIRE!"

*Both MTF Units fire upon SCP-3696-1*¹

*SCP-3696-1 waits until the MTF Units run out of ammunition, then opens fire on the MTF Units*

At this point, the MTF Units ███ and ███ were forced to make defensive maneuvers in order to avoid being hit by any of the bullets SCP-3696-1 started shooting. One of the MTF Units, ███ decided to take a risk and ran straight at SCP-3696-1, being nicked by a bullet a every few fractions of a second. ███ got close enough to SCP-3696-1 to grab the gun out of his hands and started firing the gun back at SCP-3696-1 at near-point-blank range, leaving SCP-3696-1 no time to dodge the bullets.

*SCP-3696-1, after being hit by approximately six or seven rounds, falls to the ground dead*

*Both MTF Units remove SCP-3696 from SCP-3696-1, causing SCP-3696-1 to seemingly vanish into thin air*²

*After SCP-3696 back onto the pedestal, ██████ enters the room*

SCP-3696 Test 2:

*B-Class-███ enters the room*

*MTF Unit ███ enters the room, still equipped with the instance of SCP-3696-1*⁴

█████: "B-Class, pick up the SCP."

*B-Class-███ immediately walks over to SCP-3696 and picks it up*

*B-Class-███ freezes up, becoming SCP-3696, as MTF Unit ███ immediately aims his weapon*

*After a moment SCP-3696-1 moves and looks around for a moment*

█████: "B-Class, are you still with us?"

SCP-3696-1: "Yeah, yeah it's just… everything feels… different…"

█████: "Could you please describe it for us?"

SCP-3696-1: "It's like… when you know that stone is strong and solid, yet you believe that you could make it just as weak and flexible as jello, you know?"

*█████ remains silent for a moment*

█████: "B-Class, SCP-3696 has been capable of giving those who hold it abilities, could you please use these abilities?"

*SCP-3696-1 remains silent for a moment, concentrating, until suddenly something appeared in front of him*

█████: "B-Class, what is that?"

SCP-3696-1: "… for lack of a better term, it seems to be a 'Menu' of some kind."

Once they discovered this, they checked all of the choices. This next portion is what happened what they chose the 'Quit' option.

*SCP-3696-1 presses the 'Quit' option and something else pops up*

█████: "B-Class?"

SCP-3696-1: "… it is asking, 'Are you sure?', has a 'Yes' option and a 'No' option."

█████: "… select 'Yes'."

*SCP-3696-1 nods before selecting it, the screen vanished, SCP-3696-1 fell over, and, just before he touched the ground he vanished*⁵

*SCP-3696 clattered to the floor, unscathed*

SCP-3696-2 Test 1:

*B-Class-███ enters the room*

*MTF Unit ███ enters the room, equipped with the instance of SCP-3696-1*

██████: "B-Class, please pick up the SCP."

*B-Class walks over and picks up SCP-3696 and freezes up as he becomes SCP-3696-1*

SCP-3696-1: "Woah… that was… huh…"

██████: "You still with us B-Class?"

SCP-3696-1: "Yeah… yeah, I'm with ya."

██████: "We would like you to try to use the abilities SCP-3696 has given to you."

*SCP-3696-1 looked around and gained a thoughtful look, and suddenly a hamburger appeared in front of them*

██████: "… hungry, are we?"

SCP-3696-1: "Y-yeah, though… this burger looks really good."

*Before anyone could say or do anything, burger vanished from their sights and SCP-3696-1 had a perplexed expression*

SCP-3696-1: "… did I… eat the burger?"

██████: "I don't know… did you?"

SCP-3696-1: "I… think so? I mean, I feel more full than I was before the burger disappeared…"

They tested this with many 'consumable' items, everything from foods to ammunition of all types, as well as medical kits. 'Using' these items just makes them vanish on the first use.

Using SCP-3696, there are now many easy to use, instant healing medkits in every facility, which can be improved by SCP-914 to improve the amount you are healed.

SCP-3696-2 Test 2:

*B-Class hesitantly walks over and picks up SCP-3696, freezing up as he becomes SCP-3696-1*

████████: "B-Class? Are you still there?"

SCP-3696-1: "Y-yeah, just a bit light-headed now, but…"

*B-Class looks towards the far corner of the room and there appears a modern living room couch*

*MTF Unit ███ walks over and investigates the second instance of SCP-3696-2*

MTF Unit: "All clear."

*MTF Unit ████ enters room*

████████: "MTF Unit ████, please attempt to cause damage to the couch."

*MTF Unit ████ pulls out a baton and smacks it against SCP-3696-2, making not a single disturbance to the shape of SCP-3696-1*

*MTF Unit ████ smacks SCP-3696-2 again for the same result to occur*

*MTF Unit ████ puts away the baton and aims his gun at the couch and fires*⁶

*MTF Unit ███ aims his weapon, SCP-3696-2, at the other instance of SCP-3696-2 and fires, leaving actual bullet holes*

This process was repeated several times on different variations SCP-3696-2, getting the same result every time, until both MTF Units had run out of ammunition for their weapons.

1. Upon closer investigation on these frame it seems like the bullets went through SCP-3696-1 without causing actual harm.

2. Upon closer investigations of this video, it seems like some unknown energy leaves SCP-3696-1 and enters SCP-3696.

3. After a thorough investigation, it was discovered that the way D-Class-████ acted in the test was in no way influenced by SCP-3696. He found an opportunity to escape and took it, and even though it failed spectacularly, it if weren't for the dumb luck of MTF Unit ███, he probably would've succeeded.

4. After testing, there are mind altering effects of instance SCP-3696-1.

5. Once investigated, the footage shows us the same thing that happened with D-Class-████, when the SCP was removed from him.

6. At first glance, it looked like there were bullet holes in SCP-3696-2, but upon closer investigation, it turned out the bullets had flattened themselves on the surface of SCP-3696-2, and did not bounce off for, currently, unknown reasons.
