Item #: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Safe
Special Containment Procedures:
Both instances of SCP-XXXX are to be held within a password protected safe lined on the inside with acoustic foam and are to be put into separate containers during transportation. The radio channel in which SCP-XXXX speak on is to be permanently jammed except for testing purposes, and any requests to join in on their conversation are to be denied.
Description:
SCP-XXXX is a pair of walkie-talkies which have the ability to autonomously communicate with eachother. SCP-XXXX-1 is usually more peaceful and has a male voice, whilst SCP-XXXX-2 has an explosive personality and has a female voice. Upon their conversation being interrupted via speaking through the microphone on the object results in the one which is being interacted with emanating a deafening SOS call in Morse Code, resulting in permanent hearing damage in anyone who hears it. This trait is most common in SCP-XXXX-2, and seems to possibly be amplified
Recovery:
SCP-XXXX was recovered after a report of an entire neighborhood becoming deaf by a field agent who was posing as a new employee at the local library.
The objects were found in Kendall Geraldsonn's bedroom hidden under his bed. Upon discovery, SCP-XXXX-1 and SCP-XXXX-2 were having a conversation regarding Kendall's guardian questioning who was in his room approximately 3 hours before the incident.
Addendum XXXX-1:
At the request of Dr. Smithson, D-4531 was given both instances of SCP-XXXX and a non-anomalous walkie talkie as of which is set to the same frequency as SCP-XXXX. SCP-XXXX-2 was sceptical as to who D-4531 was, but eventually carried on with the conversation and did not activate the effect.
