Special Containment Procedures: SCP-5070 is to be kept in a 2 x 2 x 2 meter lead lined box constructed from concrete. All personnel who enter the chamber of SCP-5070 are to be questioned afterwards or given a standard Class-A amnesiac lasting up to 12 hours. Possible memory reconditioning may be required if the subject has retained knowledge of SCP-5070.
Description: SCP-5070 is a statue of a woman constructed from Limestone measuring 10 x 10 x 30 centimetres. Carbon data analysis has revealed the materials used to be some time around 470 million years old. The origins of SCP-5070 are currently unknown.
When an individual looks at SCP-5070 directly or indirectly through any means possible, whether it is through visual or anomalous contact, an individual will begin to perceive others around them as “distorted” and [REDACTED]. Below are two test logs outlining the events from two individual tests.
Test A - 07/22/2018
Subject: D-23447
Procedure: Subject was exposed to SCP-5070 for a prolonged period of time then administered Class-A amnesiacs.
Results: D-23447 recovered around eleven hours after being exposed to SCP-5070.
Analysis: Administering amnesiacs to someone who has been within contact with SCP-5070 will help to reduce the effects given off by SCP-5070.
Test B - 08/02/2018
Subject: D-23551
Procedure: D-23551 was exposed to SCP-5070 for a prolonged period of time before being refused access to Class-A amnesiacs until twelve hours after exposure.
Results: D-23551 became erratic and violent. The test subject began to exhibit symptoms of psychosis and schizophrenia before being re-designated as SCP-5070-A. Class-A amnesiacs were administered in hopes of neutralizing the effects of SCP-5070, to no avail.
Analysis: Administering amnesiacs to an individual after twelve hours of contact has been shown to have no effect on reducing the effect on a given subject.
Studies have shown that by erasing the memory of an individual who has had eye contact with SCP-5070 will stop exhibiting all effects of SCP-5070 upon administering Class-A amnesiacs. Should an individual not be given Class-A amnesiacs then the individual will be re-designated as SCP-5070-A (see below).
