SCP-████ wearing traditional tribal clothing whilst in containment
Item #: SCP-████
Object Class: Safe/Euclid/Keter (indicate which class)
Special Containment Procedures: [Paragraphs explaining the procedures]
Description: SCP-████ is a human male standing 1.96 metres in height. Scans done on the genome of SCP-████ show that it has no genetic anomalies compared to a non-anomalous human male. In common with regular humans, it is able to speak and communicate with other humans, however only in the languages Portuguese and an unknown second language, hinted to be of the Arawakan language family. It is noted to speak in a monotone voice, with little to no emotion, and is typically very servile. Subject is of mixed racial origin, as genetic tests have shown it to have Caucasian and Indigenous Brazillian ancestry. SCP-████ doesn't seem to have any physiological needs other than hunger; it has never been observed expressing boredom, it has never been observed expressing a desire for reproduction or a desire for a hygienic environment. Subject seems to lack any sense of empathy and never expresses emotion. It is unknown if SCP-████ is incapable of expressing emotion, or just refuses to, however it is more probable that the former is the case.
SCP-████'s anomalous properties begin to manifest when it begins to experience hunger. This hunger can occur between █ hours and 6 hours after its previous meal. SCP-████ can only fulfil its hunger need by eating human flesh. All attempts for SCP-████ to eat meat from non-human animals or other foods have failed to end its hunger. SCP-████ has a series of phases which it will progress into if it remains hungry for progressively lengthier periods of time. It is thought that all these processes which SCP-████ undergoes are completely involuntary and are rather a result of its own biological processes and not to be classified as malicious intent. The phases of SCP-████ are listed below in Addendum ████-1.
If SCP-████'s anomalous properties manifest, it has been noted to eject all of its body hair and produce instances of SCP-████-1 from its hair follicles. The amount of instances can vary drastically from as low as 50, to as high as █████ for any single cycle. Instances of SCP-████-1 appear to resemble Sarcoptes scabiei in both size and appearance and take 5 days to hatch from the hair follicles of SCP-████. Instances of SCP-████-1 have been noted to be corrosive against human skin tissue as well as most other materials. They are notably unable to affect SCP-████ with this corrosion. The process of corrosion against materials seems to be consistent with how nonreactive a material is to different kinds of acid. Closer analysis of SCP-████-1 specimens determines their bodies to be coated in a layer of an unknown substance which has seemingly evolved over time to become more corrosive in each subsequent generation since the containment of SCP-████. Testing the pH of this substance with Universal Indicator results in a deep red colour, indicating that this substance is extremely acidic.
If SCP-████ remains with hunger during the presence of SCP-████-1 in its travelling phase, instances of SCP-████-1 will hone in on the nearest human and burrow into them. Upon initial infestation, the affected human, now referred to as SCP-████-2 will not realise that they are infected, and will continue with life unknowing of the infection until after approximately ██ minutes since the initial infection, where they will then engage in an involuntary journey towards SCP-████. Instances of SCP-████-2 seem to have an instinctive knowledge of the location of SCP-████ and have been noticed to make the most direct path possible towards SCP-████, regardless of terrain and obstacles. Instances of SCP-████-2 have been observed trying to walk through solid barriers such as walls, regardless of other natural human needs. Instances of SCP-████-2 do not respond to their human physiological needs, but they are still affected by them. Outside of reflex behaviours such as circulating blood and respiration, no instance of SCP-████-2 has been seen attempting to eat, drink or sleep of its own volition. Due to this, ██% of SCP-████-2 instances will die before even reaching SCP-████'s containment chamber, usually from dehydration, but other deaths from drowning, falling, and blunt force trauma are regularly observed as well as this.
As long as SCP-████ is satiated, instances of SCP-████-1 have been noted to travel in a common direction, roughly north west, at 38 degrees from north. Instances of SCP-████-1 can travel at a speed as high as ██ kilometres an hour during their travelling phase. Tracking SCP-████-1 instances across the entire travelling phase will lead to a village in the state of Amazonas, Brazil at coordinates -4.██████, -67.██████. This village is to be referred to as SCP-████-3.
SCP-████-3 is a tribal village in Amazonas Brazil with notedly limited outside contact. Membership of the tribal community is estimated between 25 and 35 individuals. Attempts to communicate with members of the tribe have proven mixed in terms of success - see Addendum ████. For the size of the tribal village, it has a surprisingly small population, with up to 100 individual homes in the tribe, yet at most, only a quarter of them are known to be inhabited.
All known male members of SCP-████-3 have all shown to produce similar entities to SCP-001, however these entities are completely harmless to humans. - See Addendum ████-
Theories suggest members of SCP-████-3 use these entities to aid hunting, as these entities are capable of targeting the neurological systems of prey animals in the same way that SCP-████-1 instances do with humans. Affected animals have known to involuntarily travel towards the tribe member which initially hosted the individual parasite responsible for infesting the animal's brain.
