Item #: SCP-xxxx

Object Class: Euclid

Special Containment Procedures: The subject is to be kept at a two-room cell with a bathroom. The cell is equipped with normal human necessities such as a bed a desk, a chair, and a bookcase as requested by SCP-5038. The subject is currently kept in Site-17. The subject is to be kept under the highest surveillance at all times despite his cheerful nature and acceptance of all tasks.

Description: SCP-5038 named The Writer is a humanoid male, light-skinned of European descent (as stated by the subject) in his late twenties, 172 cm tall and 72 kg, with blond hair and black eyes. The subject's original clothing consist of a black coat and boots with a belt that holds a book and a pen, and a stockman black hat with deep blue patterns all over his outfit. SCP-5038 who identifies himself as James has been found in front of Site-17, later surveillance footage shows that he teleported near site 17 and was taken into custody by MTF immediately. James is often cheerful, but at times he can be serious, cold, and mysterious. The subject brought suspicion after it was accidentally discovered that it possesses a knowledge of the structure and inner workings of sites and areas as well as the understanding of SCPs properties and their descriptions (such a knowledge is authorized for level 4 personnel). SCP-5038 is often seen writing something in his book that is held on his belt.

Addendum 5038-1: After "the writer" was brought in to the cell, D class Workers inspected a few books that he was carrying. The texts were unmistakenly written in English but not a single word made any sense to anyone that read it and after some time workers experienced redness in their eyes and a splitting headache. Despite the warnings of the subject one worker was instructed to continue to decipher the content of the books until he dropped dead, on further examination it was found that his neurons exploded ceasing his vital functions and killing him instantly. The book on his belt was to be taken by the worker but as soon as he touched it his hand and half of the body crumbled and turned to ash.

Addendum 5038-2: The researcher issued an extraction of a blood sample of SCP-5038 to which he agreed. Before the authorized medical personnel entered SCPs cell he was seen writing something in his book which he holds even when he sleeps while doctors tried to insert a needle in his hand he was smirking, because the needle broke, and after the twentieth attempt it was found that SCP-5038 has an immunity to foreign body objects.

Addendum 5038-3, Interactions with other SCPs: After a great discussion and approval of 05, SCP-5038 has permitted interactions with a few other SCPs.

SCP-067: To find more pieces of information about this mysterious individual SCP Foundation decided that they will give the writer SCP-067 a pen that takes hold of the user's memories and writes a biography more detailed then the user remembers. Test failed after the pen wrote "my name is James Ha…" after which pen started scribbling nonsense. SCP-067 ceased its functions for 10 days.

SCP-343: The SCP-5038 was put in a cell with god to speak in the hope of finding a little more about it. The conversation was going good but it didn't reveal anything important until a researcher questioned god about SCP-5038 to which he replied:" That is the nature of humans it's sad to see all of them transported here” to that SCP-5038 agreed. After that, there was a dead silence and the test ended with a failure.

SCP-173: The test with the statue was a request from SCP-5038, the foundation was hesitant at first because of the suspicious behavior of the writer but the gave in eventually. Before entering the cell of 173, the subject wrote something in his book on his belt as he always does, accompanied by two D class workers. At first, everything was normal and all three of them were staring at the statue until SCP-5038 complained about stepping into something on the floor, after that he broke the line of sight, with his actions statue moved and snapped the necks of two D workers. The writer was still complaining about his boots, and the sculpture was unaware of his presence and did not attack him even if he wasn’t looking at it. The test failed and SCP-5038 was brought to his cell.

[COFIDENCIAL]: With an SCP-5038 there is a risk of a spy or a linkage of Foundation's knowledge, the subject is to be kept under surveillance at all times with installed tracker and cameras, it is to be studied and observed until its identity is proven or until it acts harmful for the organization in case of that immediate termination is needed.
