Special containment procedures
While this specimen has an ability that, before it was found by the foundation, would be considered a major threat to human life, as long as the specimen is contained inside the walls of the SCP foundation, it doesn't pose an existing threat. The containment cell for SCP-4063 consists of an airtight room made of an alloy of copper, Iron, nickel, and trace amounts of sulfur, as this was the 1st successful alloy in being able to stop SCP-4063 from phasing through it after 14 other alloys tested. There is currently no explanation for why this alloy works. The room is required to be at minimum 10m by 10m by 10m, in order to insure that personnel have enough time to open and close the door to the cell quickly enough to prevent SCP-4063 from escaping containment.
There are no windows into the room, including from the observation deck, with the only viewing method being through security cameras. The one door into the room is comprised of the same alloy as the walls of the cell and is at the end of a long hallway, with the direct authorization of Dr. ███████ being required to unlock it. All hallways leading into the containment area , and connecting to a hallway leading into the font are required to be equipped with moving walls, made of the same alloy as the walls of the cell, designed to push SCP-4063 back into it's cell in the event of a containment breach. Due to a previous incident, Dr. ███████ must physically be present in order for the door to be opened (see containment breach 1)
The room is also equipped with a speaker, which is situated on the opposite side of the room to SCP-4063. This speaker is connected to a seperate room apart from the observation deck, with the only door connected to it being the observation deck itself. This speaker is used to lure SCP-4063 to the opposite side of the room so that personnel can enter safely. Specifically, the speaker broadcast insults to the specimen, which seem to be one of the few things that lure it. The only personnel who are allowed to participate in studies involving SCP-4063 are Dr. ███████, all other personnel who have previously experienced the effects of SCP-4063, and D-class personnel. Due to the fact that the specimen doesn't seem to aggressively seek out targets, no further containment protocols are necessary.
Description:
Scp-4063 takes the form of a woman in her mid-30s. Notably, scp-4063 shall not take this form while viewed through a camera, but instead will take the form of a round white ball. The white ball seems to consist of 90% hydrogen, 5% neon, and 5% carbon, with an uneven distribution throughout the organism. If the organism is viewed through a camera at the same time as it is being viewed directly, it will take a different form in order to coerce those viewing it to view it directly
It has been shown to take on many forms in the attempt to cause a human to look at it directly, the most common form taken is the form of a loved one. However, it has been demonstrated that the subject cannot take the form of an organism that is younger than 21 years old, or was younger than 21 years old at the time of death. Once the target has started to view the organism directly, it shall take its normal form. After it has been viewed directly, those viewing it will not be able to move until the organism is viewed by all personnel viewing it through a camera directly.
After the organism has attracted the attention of one or more organisms, it, as well as the subjects, will disappear from human sight, but heat signatures are still traceable, meaning that somehow, they are both there and not there. However, the heat signatures of the subjects are not as prominent as before this scenario began.
While it is entirely impossible to record what the subjects are experiencing, it appears as though surviving personnel have a clear recollection of the events. According to their accounts, they are placed in a social atmosphere, with settings ranging from funerals to movie theaters. What decides the setting of the experience is as of now unknown. The setting will be crowded with Scp 4063- 2. Scp 4063-2 share a similar appearance to a normal human, however, they differ from SCP-4063 in that their heat signatures are not individually present. It seems as though the more SCP 4063-2 there are in a given setting, the higher the heat signature of SCP 4063 becomes.
After the scenario begins, the subjects memory will be cut off, so that they do not question their new surroundings, however, it has been found that the organism can only erase memories that are less than 15 days old, thus Class D personnel must have been under SCP foundation control for over 15 days in order to qualify for experiments, unless said experiments are with the intention of testing how subjects who aren't aware of the gap in their memories are affected by SCP-4063. However, said experiments have been discontinued until further notice by Dr. ███████ .Depending on the scenario, the subject will interact with their surroundings as normal. After 45 minutes, SCP-4063 will appear.
SCP-4063 will appear in it's humanoid form. Immediately after it appears, it will try to force a conversation with the subject. Reportedly, these conversations typically begin as a friendly conversation, until approximately 10 minutes later, SCP-4063 will suddenly change the subject of the conversation. While it is possible that this aspect of SCP-4063 could be used to obtain valuable information about it, as information said during this period seems to be consistent across multiple subjects, it has been deemed unprofitable by Dr. ███████.
The newtopic of said encounter will differ based on the scenario, but it will always be with the purpose of causing an emotional response. They are often personal attacks on the subject. Over the course of 50 tests, it has been found that one of the most effective taunts it can use is to imitate a deas loved one of the target, with the specimen being able to imitate the voice of the deceased "perfectly" according to 32 subjects. This ability has been seen outside of these simulations exactly once (see containment breach 1). If there are two subjects in the simulation at the same time, it will seem to randomly pick which subject to encounter first.
If Scp-4063 is successful in aggravating the target to the point where the subject will retaliate, whether that be physically or verbally, the subject's body heat will disappear. If there are more than one subject, then SCP-4063 must cause a response in both targets in order for them to disappear. While it is impossible to know what happened to these subjects, we can infer that they can become appearances for SCP 4063- 2 due to the reports of further test subjects.
If a test subject does not react violently to the organism within one hour, then they will be released from the simulation, and the subject will be able to look upon the organism, assuming that they are the only specimen observing it at that time. For every additional subject introduced into the simulation, the time that the subjects will have to last increases by one hour. In order for a specimen to be eligible for these simulations, they must be human, as all other animals tested have shown no awareness of its existence, even when placed directly inside it
Source:
SCP-4063 was found in ███████ California on March ██ 1984. The organism gained interest of the foundation after an entire class at ███████ elementary disappeared, despite all security footage indicating that after the class entered the room, . The only survivor, that being the assistant teacher of the class, entered the classroom the next day to find it empty, besides the organism. After an encounter with the subject, said teacher alerted the local authorities who passed along the information to the foundation.
Containment breach 1:
On ███████, a minor containment breach centering around SCP-4063 began, and was active for the next 25 hours. This containment breach occurred after security guard 4063B willingly opened the door to the specimens cell, after he reportedly heard Dr. ███████’s voice inside. This has been assumed as a ploy set up by SCP-4063. After the door was opened, Guard 4063A proceeded to yell at and insult 4063B before both guards were drawn into a simulation in which both of them were terminated. Due to this event being the first instance of this specimen being aggressive, there were no moving walls at this time. Afterwards, this specimen moved towards mess hall D, in which there were 22 security guards who were drawn into a simulation. All personnel survived this simulation, and in the time that this simulation was in effect, shields made of the alloy had been created and placed in the mess hall, which the guards were told to use to push the specimen back into containment. Security breach ended on ███████
