SCP - 5.625 (test)

SCP-5.625
Item #: SCP-5.625

Object class: Safe

Special containment procedures: SCP-5.625 is currently contained at a 4 x 4 x 4 meter cell that drastically resembles a nursing home room, along with inconsequential furniture requested by Dr. Heiden in order to not misunderstand the subject’s nature. Furniture items include: one Oak nightstand, one paper 47 floor lamp, one dark brown table lamp and a set of light brown plain top curtains attached to the right wall of the cell. Access to enter SCP-10.025’s containment zone or to use SCP-5.625 for personal healing or self-caretaking by D-class personnel must receive level 3+ clearance permission, lower leveled foundation agents with level 2+ may use SCP-5.625’s effects when in need. In cases of serious wounds, blood loss or advanced stages of diseases, access to SCP-5.625’s use is free.SCP-5.625’s cell is halted by a 400kg alloy reinforced door and must be always guarded by two NSZT (‘’Painkillers’’) unit soldiers. There MUST be a pecking order in case of multiple needing of SCP-5.625’s use, priority goes to higher foundation personnel and O5 members, then regular class agents/members (level 4 > level 3 > level 2 > level 1) and last by D-Class. Extreme violation of these norms, such as trying to enter SCP-5.625’s cell by force when not given permission to do so or breaking the pecking order of its use will result in arresting or even termination orders.

Description: SCP-5.625 is a 183 x 204 cm, full set, Lyon king sized bed possessing a large, well conserved wooden base with four glides composed of black plastic (on the glide’s shape) and iron (on the glide’s extremity) attached to each corner of the base, just like a regular king sized bed. The main structure above the base consists of a large white memory foam mattress, a white blanket big enough to cover the whole bed, and four white 110’’x 20’’ l queen pillows, also composed by memory foam. SCP-5.625’s anomalous effects only manifest when a wounded/sick individual lies exactly on its center facing the ceiling and under its covers. SCP 5.625 then transmits to its user a state of anesthesia and a strong urge to sleep, putting him/her to sleep in a time estimation of 7 to 8 minutes. After the user is asleep, SCP-5.625 will proceed to heal any disease and fix any physical wound the user presents, not mattering the severity (from a simple cold, to Gallbladder cancer or from a mere bruise on the palm of the hand, to complete dilacerations of bone and muscle tissues of a member from one’s body) and number of health injuries presented by the individual. The process used by SCP-5.625 to cure internal diseases is yet unknown, as the organs damaged simply repair themselves or go back to their normal functions before the disease’s arrival, as for external wounds, such as loss of body parts, severe burning, necrosis, deep wounds and cuts, SCP-5.625 seems to ‘’sink’’ the wounded parts on its memory foam to the point of covering it as a whole and secretly repairing all the damage done to it, after the process is ended and the user’s member is fully repaired and reconstructed, it emerges from the mattress’s foam to its original position. SCP-5.625 seems to absorb or self-clean from body fluids that are eventually expelled over the mattress, such as blood, pus, sweat and saliva. How it accomplishes this process also remains unknown.
Once the user’s medical conditions are fully concluded, he/she will proceed to awake from the slumber and the anesthesia effect will cease.

IT IS EXTREMELY PROHIBITED FOR ANYONE TO CHANGE OR SUBSTITUTE ANYTHING FROM THE BED’S COMPOUND OR SET, AS THAT COMPLETELY NEUTRALIZES SCP-5.625’S EFFECT AS A WHOLE, THE RISK OF LOSING PARTS OF SCP-5.625 BRINGS THE CONSEQUENCES OF TURNING IT USELESS AND CAUSING A GREAT LOSS OF MEDICAL HELP FOR THE FOUNDATION’S VIOLENT ENDEAVORS OR ACCIDENTS.
SCP-5.625 will not manifest its healing properties on corpses, therefore the idea of resurrection is not possible, complete removal or destruction of vital organs and decapitation also nullify these effects, therefore any body that suffers these mortal damages is prohibited to be brought to SCP-5.625’s usage.

Additional: SCP-5.625 was found in *, Sri Lanka, in 19, after a considerably high number of people with wounds and diseases started to resort to a spa instead of local hospitals from the city, the foundation eventually took notice of these events and sent agents to investigate. The owner of the spa was contrary to SCP-5.625’s containment, after an arduous argument process, class A amnesiacs were administered to the owner, the workers of the spa and the previous local users. SCP-5.625 was transported to site 12 with maximum care and no incidents.

Different observations of different personnel using SCP-5.625:
Here are a few of many SCP-5.625 observation tests realized by Dr. Johann and his crew.

D-45279: Severe burning on right leg, considerable burning on back torso and back of the head.
D-28134: Considerable burning on belly area and left thigh.

User: D-67843
Health issues: Death caused by SCP-* while in testing.
Crushed femurs, eyes removed, Deep cuts to the chest and belly areas, great loss of blood.

Medical repair process time: 6h 13min 44seg, failed, subject found in exact same state, prohibition of corpses in SCP-5.625 due to inefficiency at revival or medical repair and by great amount of time wasted.
