Special Containment Procedures: SCP-3987-J is to be contained within a 30 by 15cm Plastic wallet which is to be stored in a secure locker at Site ██. SCP-3987-J may be removed from its secure locker with prior permission from one (1) Level 3 Personnel. SCP-3987-J is only to be removed from its plastic wallet for testing purposes granted, as such, by at least three (3) Level 3 Personnel.
Exposure to SCP-3987-J is not to exceed 45 minutes in 1 week unless Level 4 clearance is granted.

Description: SCP-3987-J is comprised of solid █████.█/████ measuring 1 x 1.5 x 0.2cm. SCP-3987-J appears to resemble a fossilised remains of a small seaside shell of unknown origin. SCP-3987-J has been recorded to have a level of sentience. SCP-3987-J has informed personnel that it is a "Mr Christodulu" and stated it was "conducting a science experiment" at ███████████ ██████ ,England. The means in which this information was conveyed to personnel is currently unknown. SCP-3987-J
is currently understood to be sentient, however further testing may prove this to be incorrect.

SCP-3987-J was recorded to have manifested itself at Site █ on ██/██/████ during a site wide containment breach. SCP-3987-J was later retrieved by Junior Researcher K █████ after fleeing the facility. It is unknown how many personnel were exposed to SCP-3987-J's affects however no reported instances of SCP-3987-J-1 have occurred outside of testing.

After unprotected exposure to SCP-3987-J has exceeded approximately 30 minutes subject will verbally communicate the phrase:[DATA EXPUNGED], 67 times before moving towards a corner and curling up in a ball. After 1 hour of exposure subject will begin to lose large patches of subjects hair at an accelerated rate, subject will also mutter several incoherent phrases and proceed to move any available body part across a wall or available solid surface. After this time subject is to be classified as an instance of SCP-3987-J-1 even if subject does not appear to become [REDACTED]. Any appearance of SCP-3987-J-1 is to be terminated on discovery by security personnel. After termination SCP-3987-J-1 remains are to be incinerated and the sighting of SCP-3987-J-1 is to be reported to Dr.███████. As of ██/██/████ only one test has been conducted including SCP-3987-J, results of this test are stated in Addendum 3987-J-01: Test Log.

Subject: D-9937

D-9937 was placed into a standard humanoid containment chamber containing SCP-3987-J for 2:38:42. The containment chamber was monitored by research personnel via security cameras located inside the chamber. After approximately 30 minutes D-9937 began to verbally communicate the phrase:[DATA EXPUNGED]. After this phrase was repeated 67 times, D-9937 stopped talking and went to the south east corner of the containment chamber and sat in silence. After 1:10:32 D-9937 started to lose large patches of hair and others turned gray, D-9937 began to drag their finger across the walls of the chamber forming several complex equations. After 1:56:57 D-9937 had several convulsions until 2:02:43 where D-9937 became an instance of SCP-3987-J-1 and began to observe SCP-3987-J until 2:05:00 when SCP-3987-J-1 broke containment and proceeded to attack security personnel. SCP-3987-J-1 killed 2 security personnel before being terminated at 2:07:04 by Dr. ███████. At 2:38:42 testing was concluded due to no previously recorded anomalous affects being observed.
